Palm Beach Ocean Adventures
Welcome to the Palm Beach Ocean Adventure “Meetup” Group, the ultimate community for ocean enthusiasts and water sport lovers! As a member, you'll have the privilege of joining us on our brand new flagship vessel, the Saxdor 320 GTO Adventure Boat. Our group is open to anyone aged 21 and older who shares a passion for the ocean, water sports, and exploration. We thrive on adventure boating, swimming, paddleboarding, snorkeling, and dining at all of the waterside restaurants in the area, all of which form the core of our activities. However, it's important to note that each adventure is unique and can be influenced by various tidal, oceanic, and atmospheric conditions. Boating is our means of reaching the best spots for our activities, whether it's traversing intercoastal and coastal waters or embarking on sightseeing tours between cities. If we're fortunate enough to encounter dolphins and sea turtles, we'll eagerly follow them, making the most of the captivating experience. We also love visiting sandbars and islands, allowing us to wade in the crystal-clear waters and snorkel during high tide. Swimming is an exhilarating part of our adventures. You can take the plunge into the great blue when the boat is anchored and the engine is off, but please consult with the captain beforehand. Since ocean swimming can be physically demanding, it's crucial to be confident in your swimming ability. If you're not an experienced ocean swimmer, you must request or accept a life jacket or a USCG approved personal flotation device from the Captain. Paddle-boarding is another fun activity that we engage in. If you haven't tried it before, this is your chance! However, keep in mind that you should be able to paddle-board in calm waters such as in the inter-coastal or estuaries before attempting it in the ocean. Prior to using one of our onboard paddle-boards, please inform the captain about your paddle-boarding abilities. For snorkeling, it's expected that everyone brings their own equipment. We recommend having a diving mask, snorkel, and fins for ocean snorkeling. A dry snorkel, which doesn't allow water inside, is particularly beneficial. Feel free to use your preferred equipment, but don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions. Please remember that we are not professional guides or instructors, but a group of outdoor enthusiasts seeking a good time on the water. We help and support each other whenever possible. By participating in any of our events, you assume full responsibility for your personal health, safety, and equipment. Ensure you are physically and mentally prepared for the activity and have suitable gear. If at anytime you have any questions, please reach out to us, and we'll be glad to assist you. We strongly encourage all members to suggest activities, and we welcome organizers from other groups who wish to collaborate or help us plan events. Additionally, if you're interested in hosting an event for our group, we warmly welcome your input! As a member, we expect your participation and willingness to lend a hand when needed, whether it's during boarding, underway, docking, anchoring, handling water toys, or demonstrating snorkeling and paddle-boarding techniques. Punctuality is essential for the success of our adventures. Please arrive 15-20 minutes before the scheduled departure time, allowing you to park, gather your belongings, and meet us on time at the dock. The boat will not wait for more than 5 minutes beyond the designated departure time, so please be prompt. To conserve space and weight onboard, we request that you travel light. Each member is allowed to bring only one small carry-on item containing essential items such as a beach towel, cotton long sleeve, dry shorts/pants, wallet/purse, phone, and sunscreen. Only flip-flops or water shoes are allowed on board. Shoes, sneakers, and hard bottom sandals are not permitted on the deck of the boat. Before stepping aboard, please ensure that your feet, flip-flops, or water shoes are clean by rinsing them in the water. This helps maintain the pristine condition of the boat's deck, which will be freshly cleaned for your arrival. Courtesy towards your fellow adventurers is of utmost importance. Remember that you'll be sharing the boat with others, so please be respectful, considerate, and mindful at all times. The captain reserves the right to address any inappropriate behavior and may cancel your passage if conduct does not meet the expected standards. Such cancellation will result in automatic removal from the group. Lastly, we greatly appreciate donations from our members to help cover the high costs associated with running this meetup. Your contributions play a vital role in sustaining our community and allowing us to continue organizing exciting adventures on the water. We are thrilled to have you as part of our Boat Adventure "Meetup" Group. Prepare yourself for unforgettable experiences, new friendships, and a deep connection with the ocean. If you have any further questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out to us. Let's create amazing memories on the water! Fair winds and following seas,

Girls Wanna have fun
Welcome to Girls Just Wanna Have Fun! This group is for you if you like to have fun while meeting new people and forming friendships. We are a fabulous group of women in our fifties, sixties, and up! Married or Single! Our activities include restaurant tours, outside events and activities. Check out our events. We like good food, fun, and meeting great people.  Don’t forget to ‘turn on’ meetup notifications to be notified of our fun events as soon as they are published. We want everyone to have a great time in the group, we’ve had to adopt some ground rules: MEMBER REQUESTS must be approved by the organizer, you must be 50 years old or older to join, your profile must show a picture, profiles that are empty or nearly empty may not be approved. GUESTS: There will no longer be Guests accepted to our events due to Security and Legal Considerations. Your friend(s) are welcome to join our group and RSVP for themselves.
CONTACT: A contact phone number will be required for ALL reservation and pre-pay events. Valerie will reach out to you via meetup message, do not post personal information in a comment or public forum. The event organizer will text each attendee two days prior to these types of events to confirm attendance, a response is expected within 12 hours or we will assume the attendee is no longer interested and allow the next person on the ‘waitlist’ to fill that spot. We understand some members may prefer not to share their personal contact information, there will be many events where reservations/pre-pays are not required and we hope you will join those, but we will not be able to accommodate you for events requiring reservations or pre-pays without contact information. Unfortunately too many reservation events have had last minute ‘no-shows’, this is a problem across many Meetup groups, to the point where some groups have been told not to return to some venues, we have experienced that as well. It’s not fair to the venue as they prepare for the number of attendees on the reservation; or the members on the waitlist that miss an opportunity to attend. Please be assured that your personal contact information is kept 100% confidential and will never be shared.  WAITLIST: Turn on notifications to be sure you are notified when an event spot has opened up. Meetup automatically moves the next person on the ‘Waitlist’ to the ‘Going’ list. If you’re no longer able to attend please remove yourself from the ‘Waitlist’.  NO-SHOWs:  If you respond to an event and are unable to attend please remove yourself from that event at least 24 hrs prior to the event and allow the next person on the waitlist to have that spot. For events requiring reservations, after one NoShow you will be restricted from events requiring reservations for 3 months. For all other events after three NoShows you will be restricted from events for 3 months. It’s not fair to ‘Waitlist’ attendees that could miss an opportunity to attend that event. We do understand that last minute emergencies can happen, in this case please contact the event organizer. SPAM: No spamming members, sending unsolicited emails or in any way harassing members, you will be reported to Meetup.com with a request to remove you from the entire site. NO DRAMA ZONE: We want everyone’s time here to be enjoyable therefore we cannot tolerate excessive complaining or negative comments about events or members. Not all events will interest everyone, look for ones that you’ll enjoy. We aim to plan a wide variety of fun events that should appeal to a variety of members. This IS A SAFE environment for all our members and disrespecting a member will not be tolerated, you will be removed. This is a no drama zone. We DO WELCOME improvement suggestions and event ideas and would love to hear from you. CHARITABLE DONATIONS: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun prides itself on supporting its community.  At this time the group supports St George Soup Kitchen. COSTS: Meetup charges a yearly fee for each group. Valerie covers this cost and has chosen NOT to pass that expense along to the members. RESPONSIBLTY: Your participation in any of our activities is your acknowledgment that you are solely responsible for your own assessment of your abilities and your physical fitness to participate in that activity. By joining any event you agree to waive all rights and claims for damages against Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, it's Organizers and Assistant Organizers.
