Looking for a free, high-intensity workout for all levels? Join the RISE for an evening full of HIIT, Tabata, core, and cardio at Coachman Park in downtown Clearwater, FL. RISE x STRENGTH: Tuesday and Thursday evenings @7PM This free 45 minute workout will include a warm up, HIIT, tabata, possibly stairs?, and lots of stretching at the end. RISE x SPEED: Monday and Wednesday evenings @7PM This free run club focuses on speed and interval training. Join us on Monday for Left Turns: a 10min warm up, \~25min of intervals around the grass lawn, and a 10min cool down jog/stretch. Come out on Wednesday for Hills of Glory, a similar workout but with intervals going up and across the Memorial Causeway bridge. All levels are welcome and encouraged!

Hola, My name is Chris, I'm not a senior but I figured I'd try to find a group for my Dad to check out. Since there weren't many around St. Pete I decided to create this one and see if there was a demand for social senior activities. I think Meetup is an awesome way to connect people, I suggested to my Dad that he posts some of the stuff he does including getting coffee, walks, bike riding and kayaking. He's a snowbird and is down here during the winter months. I figured there's probably a good amount of people in a similar position as him and it might be a good idea to start a group like this. I have some experience putting together Meetup groups so I decided I could develop the framework for this one and let people run with it. Here's how it's going to work. Anyone who wants to step up and host an event can. Whether it's staying active or meeting for a happy hour, there's no restriction and no limits. Just shoot me a message if you want to become an event organizer and put on some events. Anyways I enjoy constructive feedback as well so if there's something you think could improve the group definitely let me know. I've been doing meetup events for about 10 years now and have a bit of insight on what makes a good group. For example an organizer who can put together regular events, negotiate with local business owners for happy hour specials, provide nametags and be welcoming definitely helps the group become successful. I'll set up a few membership questions so you can share a bit about yourself and learn a bit more about other people in the group. OK that's about it, let's see how this goes.

Welcome to Clearwater Coed Soccer Meetup Group! Whether you're a seasoned player or just looking to kick around for fun, we organize pick-up games and outdoor soccer matches for coed recreational players. Join us for friendly competition and FUN! All skill levels are welcome, so come out and join us for some soccer fun!

This is an adult volleyball group. All players must be 18 or older.  Our players range in age from the upper teens to 70's. We do try to play by the current rules. We have many levels of players and try to put teams together that will allow competitive play. If you are a novice, this is probably NOT the group for you. If in doubt about your level of play, come out to play at one of our regularly scheduled events, talk to one of the organizers, and we can help you determine whether you are a good fit for the group. This group used to hold both indoor and outdoor events, but as part of a reorganization of the group, it was split into an indoor group and an outdoor group. The indoor portion of the group stayed on Meetup. We play three to five times a week. Tuesday and Friday 1:00 - 4:00 at Belleair Rec. Center (these hours differ in the summer, so check our group's calendar). We also play from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the Morningside Rec Center on Friday nights and from 2:00 to 4:45 PM at Ross Norton on Sundays. If you are an A or above player and only want to play with A or above players, then you will not want to join this group. We do have a number of A players who play with us. As our name implies, we are semi-serious volleyball players and hence beginners are usually not a good fit for the group. Rare circumstances can cause changes in our schedule so if you plan to attend one of our sessions you may want to check the calendar of events as we try to keep this as up-to-date as possible. The Florida Center for Creative Photography is one of the largest and most active photography communities on Meetup.com. We are also the largest photography related organization in the Greater Tampa Bay Area. The group is for everyone with an interest in travel, learning, photography and travel. FCCP Director Jeff Donald has been leading PhotoTours since 1988 and has traveled the world with camera in hand. He’s also an experienced educator. Jeff and his wife Theresa (an award winning photographer and retired nurse) lead 6 to 8 PhotoTours every year. Several trips are in the works for 2018 including Yellowstone National Park in Winter, Dry Tortugas Bird Migration/Nesting, Western Montana Ghost towns, Yellowstone National Park in Fall and Yosemite National Park in Fall. PhotoTours planned for 2019 include Polar Bears in Churchill Manitoba Fall 2019.
