Wekiva Wilderness Trust - Family Hike & Outdoor Discovery

The Wekiva Wilderness Trust, is the non-profit Citizens Support Organization that supports the work of the three state parks that make up the Wekiva River Basin Parks - Wekiwa Springs, Lower Wekiva and Rock Springs. The WWT's mission is to promote educational and environmental aspects of the park and to work with the park staff to protect and preserve the almost 50,000 acres of the real Florida. We will be hosting a family hike once a month! This is a short hike (unless otherwise stated on the event), usually about an hour, taking you thru some of our trails, and teaching you about the history of our beautiful park. This hike is open to all ages! We will also be hosting weekly "Discovery Hours". In this "meetup" you will learn anything from Endangered Animals in our area, Florida Raptors, Reptile Exhibits, Edible Plants, and more! Some of the Discovery Hours are geared towards the little ones where we will have story time. All events are free (other than the cost of admission to the park), and are open to all ages! We can't wait to see everyone out there!
