Looking for a free, high-intensity workout for all levels? Join the RISE for an evening full of HIIT, Tabata, core, and cardio at Coachman Park in downtown Clearwater, FL. RISE x STRENGTH: Tuesday and Thursday evenings @7PM This free 45 minute workout will include a warm up, HIIT, tabata, possibly stairs?, and lots of stretching at the end. RISE x SPEED: Monday and Wednesday evenings @7PM This free run club focuses on speed and interval training. Join us on Monday for Left Turns: a 10min warm up, \~25min of intervals around the grass lawn, and a 10min cool down jog/stretch. Come out on Wednesday for Hills of Glory, a similar workout but with intervals going up and across the Memorial Causeway bridge. All levels are welcome and encouraged!

Hola, My name is Chris, I'm not a senior but I figured I'd try to find a group for my Dad to check out. Since there weren't many around St. Pete I decided to create this one and see if there was a demand for social senior activities. I think Meetup is an awesome way to connect people, I suggested to my Dad that he posts some of the stuff he does including getting coffee, walks, bike riding and kayaking. He's a snowbird and is down here during the winter months. I figured there's probably a good amount of people in a similar position as him and it might be a good idea to start a group like this. I have some experience putting together Meetup groups so I decided I could develop the framework for this one and let people run with it. Here's how it's going to work. Anyone who wants to step up and host an event can. Whether it's staying active or meeting for a happy hour, there's no restriction and no limits. Just shoot me a message if you want to become an event organizer and put on some events. Anyways I enjoy constructive feedback as well so if there's something you think could improve the group definitely let me know. I've been doing meetup events for about 10 years now and have a bit of insight on what makes a good group. For example an organizer who can put together regular events, negotiate with local business owners for happy hour specials, provide nametags and be welcoming definitely helps the group become successful. I'll set up a few membership questions so you can share a bit about yourself and learn a bit more about other people in the group. OK that's about it, let's see how this goes.

Tampa Bay Sailing …   Where ACTIVE sailors and crews … meet, greet and sail!!!! Let’s Get on the Water!!!!!!!   Tampa Bay Sailing is a meetup group focused on giving everyone a fair chance to get out on the water, and we work on maintaining a balance of crew to skippers as even as we can to allow this to happen. As with any outdoor activity, there are inherant risks to sailing. We want everyone to have a fun and safe time out on the water. Please be aware: * Organizers do not warranty the seaworthiness of vessels, or the seamanship of captains, crew or of other participants. I understand I have a duty to exercise reasonable care for my own safety and I agree to do so. * I will notify the skipper of any limitations that I may have that may impact my safety while on the boat. * Space is limited and captains count on crew showing up.  I will not sign up for more than one event on the same day/time and will provide timely notification to the host if I cannot attend or running late. * I will be respectful of others and will work cooperatively with members of the group. NOTICE ON JOINING FEE! Skippers who post 3 sails per year can join for free. Anyone who owns a boat but does not want to post sails can join as crew for a $15 annual fee. Crew (people who do not own a sailboat) may join by paying the annual fee of $15. By collecting this fee, our group can cover costs to remain on the Meetup Platform, reserve venues and purchase supplies and items for some of our events and initiatives. The membership period is from October 1 through September 30 annually. We are an active, friendly, social group for singles age 50 and up. We are open to all Tampa Bay singles whether widowed, divorced, separated, or never married. If you like dancing, dining, theater, movies, picnics, board games, beach parties, local plays, live bands, and other social events, you will find activities on our monthly calendar to enjoy with others in a friendly environment. We get together for fun and friendship with a variety of indoor and outdoor events.
