We are individuals in the 50+ age range who have a positive outlook on life, a desire to stay active, and a passion for trying new experiences. We welcome those who seek meaningful connections and enjoy socializing with others who share a similar mindset. Our group will organize a range of activities to cater to different interests and preferences. These activities may include outdoor adventures like hiking, biking, or nature walks, engaging in creative pursuits such as cooking or art workshops, participating in wellness activities like yoga or meditation sessions, attending cultural outings to museums or theaters, and fostering personal growth through guest speaker events. The goal is to provide a diverse range of events that promote social interaction, personal development, and an overall sense of well-being. By creating a welcoming environment and offering a variety of activities, the 50+ Vibe Crew aims to foster connections, enhance personal growth, and support a youthful and fulfilling lifestyle for its members. You may be wondering why the low $3.99 monthly fee? Here is the rundown. The fee would be to cover the Meetup fees, incidentals (example: utensils for pitch ins) , and paid event spaces when applicable. Also for me to check out places (gas, time, effort). And most importantly, charging a small fee often filters out people that may not be as serious. The group has a 30 day free trial to give you plenty of time to truly experience the value of the group.

Indianapolis Hiking Club

Fishers, IN

Indianapolis Hiking Club
If you like to hike, love nature, want to stay fit, want lifelong friendships, like to travel, love adventure, love history and want to be part of a club celebrating over 67 years of passion and the opportunity to hike more than 2,000 times a year with over 500 of your closest friends ....then the Indianapolis Hiking Club is for you! Come take a closer look at what might be the best first day of the rest of your life. Learn more about us and see our complete hike schedule on our website www.indyhike.org. While you are at it, check out our Facebook page too; it is entitled “TheIndianapolisHikingClub.” Our club, which on January 23, 2024 celebrated our 67th anniversary, has more than 580 active members in central Indiana and schedules more than 2,000 hikes every year (about six hikes a day) in the Indianapolis area and surrounding counties, only a portion of which are listed on Meetup. We also schedule social events, including a summer picnic, General Assembly and Winter Banquet. About six times a year our club also sponsors multi-day hiking trips to Indiana state parks, national parks, other states and international locations. Join us on any hike or away trip as a guest.  Everyone 18 years or older is welcome as are children and grandchildren as long as an adult is willing to take responsibility for them. You do not have to be invited to join us as a guest and there is no fee. Simply show up for any hike at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start time. It is a club tradition to start the hike "on-time". But please no pets unless the hike is designated as a "pet hike". We hope to see you soon. Joining Meetup is not the same as being a member of the Indianapolis Hiking Club. We have only two requirements to join our club; you must be 18 years old and have hiked with us on two occasions as a guest. That's it.  There is no one time membership fee, just annual dues which are very modest; $25 for an individual and $40 for a family.  After you become a member your hiking mileage with the club will be tracked. Prior to joining you are welcome to hike as a guest as often as you wish – again no fee. On our website and Facebook page you can learn a lot about our long history, hiking and social events, and see lots of photos of our members in action. A copy of our new member application can also be found on our website. What are you waiting for? Baha'i Faith and Spiritual Teachings Meetup Group

Indianapolis, IN

Baha'i Faith and Spiritual Teachings Meetup Group

About The Bahá’í Faith

The Bahá’í Faith is the newest world religion which recognizes that all these religions come from the same source. Every thousand years or so, God sends a new Messenger with a new Revelation addressing the individual and collective needs of humankind. Today the pressing need of humanity is unity, and the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh, the prophet-founder of the Bahá’í Faith, give spiritual direction for our personal and collective lives that will make this a reality.

Basic teachings include:

• One God, manifested in all major world religions

• The oneness of humankind

• Independent investigation of truth

• The essential harmony of science and religion

• Equality of women and men

• Elimination of prejudices of all kinds

• Universal compulsory education

• Spiritual solutions to economic problems

• A universal auxiliary language

• Universal peace upheld by a world federation

Group Meetings

Meetings will include a diversity of formats and topics, such as devotional meetings, videos, celebrations of Bahá’í Holy Days, topical presentations, Bahá’í teachings that relate to current issues, Race Unity, and discussions on various spiritual themes. Everyone is welcome, regardless of your background or beliefs. The focus will be on exploring and sharing, building understanding and connection. For now, most meetings will occur on Zoom due to the pandemic, but future meetings may occur at the Indianapolis Bahá’í Center or other venues.

To learn about the Bahá’í Faith

An excellent resource is the official website of the Bahá’í World Center, www.bahai.org. To contact Bahá’ís in any locality in the U.S., call 800-22-UNITE. For information on local Bahá’í activities in the Indianapolis area, email meetup@indybahai.org or call 317-297-9999.
