About The Bahá’í Faith
The Bahá’í Faith is the newest world religion which recognizes that all these religions come from the same source. Every thousand years or so, God sends a new Messenger with a new Revelation addressing the individual and collective needs of humankind. Today the pressing need of humanity is unity, and the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh, the prophet-founder of the Bahá’í Faith, give spiritual direction for our personal and collective lives that will make this a reality.
Basic teachings include:
• One God, manifested in all major world religions
• The oneness of humankind
• Independent investigation of truth
• The essential harmony of science and religion
• Equality of women and men
• Elimination of prejudices of all kinds
• Universal compulsory education
• Spiritual solutions to economic problems
• A universal auxiliary language
• Universal peace upheld by a world federation
Group Meetings
Meetings will include a diversity of formats and topics, such as devotional meetings, videos, celebrations of Bahá’í Holy Days, topical presentations, Bahá’í teachings that relate to current issues, Race Unity, and discussions on various spiritual themes. Everyone is welcome, regardless of your background or beliefs. The focus will be on exploring and sharing, building understanding and connection. For now, most meetings will occur on Zoom due to the pandemic, but future meetings may occur at the Indianapolis Bahá’í Center or other venues.
