Welcome to Andover Area Dog Lovers Looking For Friends! I recently moved to Andover and am hoping to meet new people and make genuine connections with other girls in their 20-30s. I have a puppy golden retriever (Gilligan!) that is my whole world, so looking for other active dog owners that would want to meet up for walks. Ideally, we could do other small group activities as well like coffee meet ups, board game nights, book clubs, etc. I'm don't drink and am not into the party scene, so I'm hoping to find like-minded people that are looking to create lasting friendships through wholesome experiences :)

This Group was created **temporarily** as two paid Organizer subscriptions (rising recently to $300/yr. each) were being merged into one subscription. No activities planned for this group. The **Walking Group** does walks on paved surfaces and light hikes in town forests Northwest of Boston. The **Exploring Group** does somewhat more ambitious hikes Northeast of Boston and may include an occasional bicycling or ski event. Both value social interaction and could end with a gathering at an eatery nearby. You are encouraged to join either of these two groups if not already a member.

Every season is an opportunity to walk. Walks will be in nature (riverwalk, woods, beaches) for approximately 30-45 minutes and will be local as well as in surrounding areas

This group is for anyone over 30, living the area, who would like to meet others and participate in some fun events and activities. It’s a very laid back, low pressure group and the main objective is to make friends and have some fun. Guidelines for being accepted into the group: \* We ask that you have a profile photo where your face is visible, in order to be accepted into the group. This is so you will be easily recognizable to everyone. The leader of the group is a dog named Maddie and she does not like strangers. This women-only, 50+ group will be a mixture of social gatherings, dining out, biking, hiking, kayaking along with crafting, book clubs, games, short trips and whatever else the group organically develops into over time. Note - We will occasional make an exception to all women when an event is opened up to guests or when necessary. Do you want to jump up and down in the park but feel silly doing it alone? Does paying for a trainer sound like too much of a commitment? Do you wish Gordon Ramsay was less shouty and didn't just make you feel bad about food? If the answer is yes to any of these, join the MOFOs and get a sweat on at your own pace. Join a semi-self-directed workout - all you need is yourself, although a yoga or beach mat would make it a little more comfy. And probably water too, that seems sensible. On cold days, I'll bring tea to keep your hands toasty. On hot days, I'll bring tea because it's nice to drink tea. I'm a firm believer in the restorative powers of movement - connect with your body, revel in your own energy and find your center. And at the very least, make getting out of bed just that little bit easier. This is suitable for all ages, but mostly tailored for adults. We'll have no-equipment exercises and work at a pace that suits you - if you saw something awesome on fitness video, bring your ideas!

Associated with AANE, this group was created to bring people together who share a love for the outdoors! Practice your English, meet new friends and explore different places around Boston! This is a free in person meetup group that is open to anyone who wants to improve their communication and language skills, make new connections, and see different parts of the city! This group meets in the heart of Boston right next to the Common. You will meet at FLS International, which is a premier English language, test prep, and university preparation school. The conversations and activities will be run by FLS staff, who are all trained and qualified in English-language teaching, and also enjoy interacting with other cultures! By joining these activities, you can meet current and former FLS students of varying ages and backgrounds, as well as other Boston-based language and culture lovers! Right now this group will start as a book club to talk about a cozy mystery book or book series. Cozy mysteries are easy reads, and though it won't create a ton of deep discussion, it will be enough to start a conversation. Ideally, I'd love to expand "comfy cozy" activities - maybe getting afternoon tea, sitting in someone's porch and drinking lemonade, going on a picnic, watching cosy TV shows or movies etc.
