Welcome to Andover Area Dog Lovers Looking For Friends! I recently moved to Andover and am hoping to meet new people and make genuine connections with other girls in their 20-30s. I have a puppy golden retriever (Gilligan!) that is my whole world, so looking for other active dog owners that would want to meet up for walks. Ideally, we could do other small group activities as well like coffee meet ups, board game nights, book clubs, etc. I'm don't drink and am not into the party scene, so I'm hoping to find like-minded people that are looking to create lasting friendships through wholesome experiences :)

This Group was created **temporarily** as two paid Organizer subscriptions (rising recently to $300/yr. each) were being merged into one subscription. No activities planned for this group. The **Walking Group** does walks on paved surfaces and light hikes in town forests Northwest of Boston. The **Exploring Group** does somewhat more ambitious hikes Northeast of Boston and may include an occasional bicycling or ski event. Greetings All! I had a moment of clarity this morning while mountain biking. I was somewhat deterred by the heat and humidity but could not let the weekend expire without a ride in the woods. I was prepared for a belabored ride but surprisingly, it was not although I did appreciate the breeze coming over the surface of the swamp and at other points during the ride. TMI? I hope not and rather was thinking and hoping that there are others like me that appreciate and long for more moderate to high intensity outdoor activities, across the four seasons and to include mountain or rail trail bike rides, hiking, fast-paced walking and snowshoeing. I will not be planning ski trips since there is more planning and logistics involved and I don't care for road biking since I find vehicles and the traffic very distracting. I am an avid mountain biker and would be glad to organize a few low impact/easy rides and provide tips and pointers but not for absolute beginners. So as members join, realize that most events will likely be on the North Shore and feel free to express your preferred activities. Founded in 2004, A3D (African Development through Drum and Dance) started with a group of friends who traveled to Senegal, West Africa on a two week journey that forever changed their lives. After experiencing the sights and sounds of Africa, it became clear that many of the things we take for granted, most of the people there either never had or need more of, but will likely not be able to achieve without help from outside. Some of those things include medicines, school computers, and much more.

The A3D group is always looking for friends and volunteers who can put their skills to good use. We host an annual festival in Salem every July (complete with artists and vendors, musicians and performers, even a moon bounce), we raise money for useful items (desks and computers for a school in Senegal), to name a couple of active projects, and we have a good time doing all of this. We meet regularly in Salem, Massachusetts and welcome you and any guests you would like to invite to attend any and all of our gatherings. As a member YOU are solely responsible and must be present with your guest at all times. We appreciate your cooperation. Sorry, but NO CHILDREN are allowed at any of our events at any time - or for any reason \* **YOUR RSVP:** When you rsvp "YES" to an event, that means that you WILL be attending the event. If for any reason you will not be joining us, it is your responsibility to be mindful and update your status to, "NOT GOING." Not doing so is not only rude and inconsiderate to the Organizer/Event Host & Members, but most times will cause a fellow member who may have been on a wait list not to be able to participate in the event. Meet up and Organizers send out and comment several reminders for each and every event. Any cancellation unless you have directly contacted the Organizer/Event Host within 2 hours of an actual event will be noted as a NO-SHOW. ALL no-shows are noted when we take attendance (Yes, we take attendance) " 2" NO-SHOWS will remove you from the group. If you are removed from this group - the same goes for any other meet up group affiliated with this one. \***WAITLISTS:** The Wait List, unless noted auto-populates. Once a member on the rsvp list attending changes their rsvp, the next person on the wait list is auto-added at ANY time. If you rsvp to an event and end up on the wait list, it is YOUR responsibility to stay in the loop if an opening becomes available. If for any reason there are changes - you changed your mind, etc. ? it only takes a moment to update your status to" not going." We definitely understand if an opening becomes available too close to the actual time of the event obviously leaving you without time to get there etc... and will definitely understand such circumstances. \* **LIABILITY RELEASE:** As a condition of attending our meet ups, you agree to hold harmless, and indemnify the Organizer/Event Host and his/her heirs, and all members and participants of this Meet Up group from any claims for injury, illness, death, and/or property damage including those caused by negligence, ignorance, inexperience and other reasons. You also agree to assume all mental, physical, financial, and/or other risk associated with this meet up. All Meet Up activities pose inherent risks and dangers. Participation in these activities is voluntary and dependent upon your own personal judgement.
