Unless otherwise stated, all of our events and activities are free of charge.

We also offer weekly worship services and open-discussion Bible studies to anyone who wants to join. We encourage anyone to join and participate as they feel comfortable.

"Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid." - Matthew 5:13-14

DMV Weekend Road Trippers

Catonsville, MD

DMV Weekend Road Trippers
Love nature and out-of-the-way places? Tired of three day weekends sitting at home? Are your friends sick of you trying to talk them into last minute road trips with you? You've come to the right place! We DMV Weekend Road Trippers are men and women with a passion for exploration and sightseeing. We are lovers remote landmarks and overlooked treasures. We're here to see all the natural landmarks and historic sites we can find, anywhere in a weekend travel radius around the DMV area. Most importantly, we're all about sharing the travel experience with each other, making new friends, and chilling together after a long weekend adventure. Events posted here will be short 1-3 day trips from the coastal DMV to anywhere we can get to and enjoy in that time frame. Some events may require external booking or charges, depending on what we're doing, but the group will never charge for an event; this group is not a business, and where possible the goal will be to do things cheap and enjoy things money can't buy. This group is meant to be accessible to people who want to meet new people and explore new places without spending crazy amounts of time or money. Carpooling can be organized among members where possible to help make event even more accessible. Most road trips will be planned around natural landmarks or wilderness activities, such as camping, backpacking, hiking, kayaking, etc., though some may not be. New road trip tips and ideas are always appreciated. Exploration is a team sport! As with many groups of this nature, there is potentially an element of risk inherently involved in physical activities. While we will always do our best to look out for each other, each participant is ultimately responsible for their own comfort and safety, understanding their own physical limitations, and assuming any risks that might be inherent in any group activities.

People Interested In Eliminating Stress

Lutherville Timonium, MD

People Interested In Eliminating Stress

What would your life be like if you had much less stress…without having to manage it?
Would you love more? Live better? Have more fun at work? Have more fun and be happier overall?

Do you value self-reflection, personal growth, telling the truth, and being empowered by others? If so, then this educational, personal growth meetup group is for you.

Organized by Dr. Mort Orman, M.D., a local physician, author and stress elimination expert, this group will explore mastering your emotions, succeeding in your interpersonal relationships, raising healthy kids, and having a career that nurtures you instead of stressing you out. Regular meetings will be held once or twice a month, on weekday evenings, from 7:00pm to 8:30pm at various locations in the Towson, Lutherville and Hunt Valley areas. As the group grows and expands, other special events, activities and learning or networking opportunities will be scheduled.

WHY THIS GROUP WAS FORMED
This group was formed for people who are interested in sharing ideas and strategies for eliminating stress, not just managing it forever. This group is NOT about meditation, yoga, relaxation procedures, deep breathing exercises, or other stress management techniques, all of which are valuable—they’re just not what we will be talking about or exploring in our meetings.

WHO IS THIS GROUP FOR?
This group is for anyone interested in having a better life, reducing stress, discovering how to be happier, discovering how to avoid relationship failures, how to have more fun at work, and how to become a calmer, more focused and more decisive human being.
