Hi everyone and welcome to the Frederick Women's Social meet-up page 😊 This is a womens group dedicated to connecting women of all ages and backgrounds and helping support each other. The goal of this group is basically just to make friends, hangout , chit chat, and do fun activities. Activity ideas: Movie nights, book club meetings, art activities (pottery, painting, etc), coffee group dates, volunteering events, and hikes. Open to suggestions as well!😊

Many of our members are like family here, and you are more than welcome to join our family...We're quite often told we're the most fun and funniest meetup around - there's several members that will leave you in stitches if you hike with them...We're also HUGE into themed style hikes so if you're in that, you might just have found your tribe... Our secret to our success is our charmingly small events...We like to preserve woods for future generations and are strong into Leave No Trace ethics here, so you won't see many large social events offered here except for anniversaries or charities...If you need to be in the woods with 50 other people, this isn't the group for you...Loudness in the woods with parade style hiking is not our thing... Our members tend to be 45-55 on average, but we certainly welcome older and younger folks as well...We have everything from beginner hikers/kayakers/bikers to people who regularly hike 50+ miles, live on kayaks, and competition mountain bike... In order to join, you must have a clearly identifiable profile picture. Picture of you and not you and others. This is for safety reasons and so members can recognize each other at events. If you feel the need to be anonymous among 6000+ members, this is not a good fit for you...Safety is a priority to our members here... Welcome new members!

**Welcome to your fifties!** Kids are (mostly) raised, career's going well, and now it's your time to get fit, have fun, meet other active people. Let's hike, bike, walk, kayak, explore, laugh, converse, and live well. This group is for you if you like to keep fit through fun activities, and enjoy stimulating conversation with new friends. Our group has been active since 2011. **Our Locale:** Most of our events occur in *Carroll County*. Few go outside of that area. Our main exception is our long distance strenuous hikes. These hikes are within 1 hour (or a bit more) driving distance from Westminster, MD. Consider your driving distance/time to join us on any of our adventures. **Membership Dues: CCFF@50** requests annual contributions in January that is used to pay for the site. This may requested again later in the year if contributions have not covered that expense. **Profile Photo Requirement:**  Out of respect and courtesy to our event hosts and organizers, as well as other group members, we do require a clear profile photo of your person upon request to join our group.  This is so that we can recognize you at our events. **Dog Policy:** CCFF@50 is a meet up group for "older adults." Some of our members may have allergies, osteoporosis, thin skin and other maladies as we age (sadly, we do). So, we ask you to keep Fido at home. **CCFF@50Liability:** By signing up for this event, participant is warranting that (s)he is in good physical health and can safely participate in the exercise. Participant further warrants that (s)he is aware of the risks inherent in participating in this activity, including but not limited to dehydration, falls,twisted ankles, getting lost from the group,etc. and acknowledges that it is the participant's sole responsibility to guard themselves from any and all risks in participating in the activity. Participant further acknowledges that the activity host and organizers have no special skills or knowledge that the participant can rely on in participating in this activity. Participant further agrees to hold harmless the event hosts and organizers from any injury which may occur to them through their participation in this activity. Welcome to the Carroll County 20's and 30's Social Meetup group! This group is for young adults in the area who are looking to connect with others who share similar interests. I wanted to start this group to fill in the gaps of social opportunities for young adults in the area without needing to drive to Baltimore or DC. There's a ton to do locally in Sykesville, Westminster, Eldersburg, and Manchester, and there have to be more than 3 of us here! Whether you enjoy exploring local breweries, trying new restaurants, listening to local bands, hiking on weekends, or just hanging out and making new friends, this group is for you. We're all about low-key meetups at local places, and if the group grows and trends towards a common interest, we'll certainly plan more events around that topic. Welcome to the Frederick Hiking Group for people in their 20's and 30's! Our group is perfect for those looking to explore the beautiful outdoors, get some exercise, and make new friends in Frederick, MD. We organize hikes of varying difficulty levels and distances, from easy nature walks to more challenging summit hikes. Our members are in their 20's and 30's and come from diverse backgrounds, but we all share a love of nature and adventure. We welcome hikers of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced hikers, and encourage everyone to challenge themselves and try new trails. In addition to hiking, we also organize social events and other outdoor activities, such as kayaking, picnics, and post hike breweries and winery meetups. These events provide an opportunity to connect with other outdoor enthusiasts in a relaxed, fun setting. Check the discussion board to see events planned for the current month. We prioritize safety and environmental responsibility on our hikes and ask that all members follow Leave No Trace principles to minimize our impact on the environment. So if you're looking for a fun and active way to explore the great outdoors and meet new people in Frederick, MD, join us for our next hike! Many of our events have waitlists on them and as a result if you are a no show at an event you may be automatically moved to the waitlist on the next event. The Frederick County Nature Council is a "friends of the park" group serving the Catoctin Creek and Fountain Rock nature parks in Frederick County Maryland. Our mission is to support the parks and improve the park experience. Maryland Master Naturalists are enrolled in or have completed a University of Maryland Extension Master Naturalist program. Maryland Master Naturalists are a state-wide volunteer network who are trained to lead and organize nature-related educational activities and service projects. This group is for anyone interested in hiking and hanging out! We hike an hour or two and then meander over to a local coffee shop, smoothie spot, or health food place!

All skill levels are welcome! Hike 2 Heal is a great combination of fantastic outdoor exercise and fun social interaction. The people in the group include different generations, genders, backgrounds and cultures and we all bond over hiking, coffee, food, chocolate, desert, fruit etc! This is a great group to be part of!

This group is simply friends coming together to hike through the woods and hang out after. Consider your skill level when deciding which hikes you would like to participate!

The Frederick Gay Men's Fitness Meetup is a diverse group of guys from the Frederick, MD area who plan regular fitness, boot-camp, runs and recreational events. Each month we will schedule events that range from a group runs through Monocacy Park, stretching and core exercise in Baker Park to an outdoor full-body HIIT workout to weekend wellness getaways. We will meet monthly to workout together, discuss training routines, nutrition, and current news in fitness.
We strive to foster an inclusive environment for all fitness backgrounds and age ranges. Open to singles and couples and everything in between!
