Rockingham Outdoors and More...
Hi all! My intention is for this to be a very friendly group of people (at least nearing 40 if not over) who love to do local things outdoors and fun activities indoors. I've lived in this county for the better part of 20 years and am finding there's lots to EXPLORE right here! Hiking the White Mountains is great, but this group will provide many options closer to home for outdoor fun. We'll have occasional distant excursions as well though. During the colder months, we'll do lots of active indoor activities too! Bring your sense of adventure as this will be MY first time doing some of these walks/hikes! And since I have a deep intellectual side, I'd also like to plan some discussions on topics of interest like or maybe even have guest speakers... A note on the current state of meetup affairs as it compares to R.O.A.M.: Because I'm concerned about the impact on the environment of bringing a huge group of people on a nature trail and because I feel huge groups negatively impact the experience of others who are trying to enjoy the beauty and quiet of the outdoors, our groups are limited to 20-25 people. While Mountain National Forest Rules recommend all groups be limited to 10 people and and require the limitation in designated "wilderness" areas. We also will never charge annual dues or membership fees, claiming that it helps with the cost of running a meetup group (seriously...collecting a $15 annual fee from thousands of members is a money making venture, not a group of friends getting together). This groups operates in the original spirit of meetup. We do this because we love to and want to share it! Please join if Rockingham County destinations are convenient for you, you love friendly people and you love to have fun!

4 Seasons Hiking Club

Welcome!
Have any interest in 1 day 2day or week long events well if you are then we might be your group ,we will be offering outdoor activities such as snowshoeing, cross country skiing, skiing, backpacking, biking, kayaking ,camping, white water rafting and much much more, you will find we are the friendliest, most welcoming organizers of any group ..

We are a sister club of 4 Seasons Hiking Adventure Club ...

KNOW YOUR LIMITS.
Our organizers are not tour guides, we're not rangers going out with us is the same as going out with a few friends expect the same risks, take the same precautions as organizers, we will do our best to give accurate descriptions of the hikes we post if you're a beginning hiker, a hike's elevation and distance may not mean much to you likewise, difficulty ratings are subjective, and a hike that is "easy" to one person may be "moderate" to another always Err on the side of caution. You're much better off going on a hike that's too easy for you than a hike that's too hard or too dangerous for you and as you go on more hikes with us, you'll become more familiar with our ratings and our descriptions, and you'll learn more about your own limits. Ultimately, it's up to you to keep yourself safe out there you're an adult Hike within your limits .

We are Solo Wilderness First Aid Certified ..

Whether you love to hike or are just starting to explore this great sport, this may be the group for you. Our group is also a terrific place for those people who enjoy getting to know others who share common interest. Hope to see you on the trail soon!

To join you must include a clear identifiable picture of yourself. It is important for the Organizers and members to be able to recognize you for safety reason. Please also include your first name.

Raymond Hiking Meetup Group

Raymond, NH

Welcome to the Raymond Hiking Meetup Group! If you have an adventurous spirit & love being in the great outdoors, then this is the group for you. We are a community of hiking, camping, kayaking, orienteering and fitness enthusiasts who enjoy exploring the natural beauty that Raymond & its surrounding areas have to offer. Whether you're a novice or experienced, come join us as we embark on adventures, forge new friendships, & create memories. Let's embrace the wonders of nature together! I used to be a member of the Raymond Area Outdoors Group. Over time it lost its leaders so it was purged from Meetup. I hope to restart the group & make it a fun, functional group, focused mostly on hiking. Most hikes will be in the Raymond area. Hikes will happen year round. Contact me if you want to assist as organizer, have suggestions or requests for a specific hike. Most meetup groups charge a small fee for each event. I do not want that pain so I paid all meetup fees for a year. Please don't try to pay me for any events. Instead of paying me, consider paying 25$, however, (any amount makes you a member) for a Bear Paw Regional Greenways membership. I'll try to have membership application forms at all hikes. Bear-Paw Regional Greenways PO Box 19, Deerfield, NH 03037 I also want to plug a local outdoor equipment company in Dover, NH called NEMO. They support many outdoor organizations and their equipment is as good or better than anyone's.

NH Hike & Brews Club (20s, 30s, & 40s)

Exeter, NH

NH Hike & Brews Club (20s, 30s, & 40s)
This group is for anyone in their 20s, 30s, or 40s (must be 21+) who is interested in hiking, regardless of experience. The reason for the age restriction is to encourage younger adults to get out and enjoy the outdoors and make friends! For this reason, we mostly do easy to moderate difficulty hikes, but we occasionally do some more challenging hikes and camping trips for those interested and able. Typically (though not always), we will go out after each hike to a brewery or pub for food and beer. Often, members will bring beer up with them to enjoy and/or share at the top. All members are encouraged to post their own events here. Members who host events will have their dues waived. Events can be hikes, other outdoor excursions, visits to breweries, brewfests, parties, etc. If you are not sure if people would be interested in your idea, feel free to use the Discussion feature to ask! When you join, you will have a 6 month free trial before you are required to pay dues ($10 per year). I will send out an e-mail reminder before this happens. If you host at least one event for the group, you will never owe any dues. Our dues help pay for the annual Meetup organizer fees, and it is a way to encourage active memberships and event organizers (which means more fun events!). Any leftover money will be used for occasional meetup socials and/or parties. And beer! Rules for Membership: 1\. Treat everyone with respect\. 2\. Keep your RSVPs up\-to\-date if your plans change\, and please message your event host if you will be late\. We do not officially have a "no\-show" policy\, but we do keep track of no shows\, and if it becomes a problem\, you will be spoken to\. 3\. Be safe\! Make sure you are in good physical condition to handle the difficulty of the hike\, wear proper footwear\, bring water\, appropriate clothing for the weather\, and read event descriptions for other suggestions of equipment to bring\. You are responsible for your own safety\!

MERRIMACK VALLEY STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHY -MVSP

Haverhill, MA

MERRIMACK VALLEY STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHY -MVSP
This photography group is open to all photographers and models interested in developing their in studio lighting abilities and techniques for glamour, portrait, modeling, artistic or any other modified lighting situation. We schedule workshops regularly ranging from beginner lighting instruction to portraits in motion such as ballet and at times artistic. They involve advanced lighting techniques to produce specific effects complementary to the workshops theme which varies with each session. We invite top models nationally and internationally. You will find the workshops are informative and indicative of highest professional standards. Locations for our workshops or seminars will vary from RiversEdge Studio of Photography, Haverhill MA to greater Boston studio locations, and when weather permits to on site natural settings in the New England area. In the Fall we will at times blend local sites and models for exceptional imaging opportunities. We are an adventurous and creative group....we are an active group! We do schedule sessions that are in the most creative sense of artistic, and I have therefore limited viewing to members only, as many in our communities have no understanding of the arts in photography, its value, or its satisfaction granted to its creators, and obviously do not visit their MFA's or other art oriented institutions. My first intro to Helmut Newton, Richard Avedon and other photography giants was at the Boston MFA, and I was always impressed by their insights into lighting and composition. One of my photographic endeavors is to emulate as much as possible in their styles, yet create my own style in the process. I am a professional photographer who began the metamorphosis in life careers some 15 years ago. It has been an interesting journey! We all want to find our creative niche! I ask of you that if you join this group, you take an active interest in photography, in particular portrait photography. We are very lucky to have a studio setting for many of our sessions! Be active, seek, learn and enjoy! I do review membership periodically and am inclined to delete inactive members or members who seem to be here for no reason at all from the roster. Thank you....Join accordingly! Please feel free to message me with suggestions or inquiries! Your organizer, Frank Simard
