This is the Walking and Hiking counterpart of our main social group Eclectic Music Events & More out of Monmouth County. There's no fee to join. Answer a few questions and if accepted yuu also get free membership in the main group. You also get special invites to private parties and free tickets to music events when available. We walk/hike mostly in Monmouth County but every 4-6 weeks head north or in other directions for a change of scenery and more challenges. Some hiking groups or organizers seem threatened by that and think they own the mountains in their area, lol, and together with a handful who were removed from the group for cause seek to use peer pressure or otherwise bad mouth us so your membership and participation is private. Hiking organizers from other groups are not admitted under most circumstances. Those needing more privacy can even text to join an event. Wer'e Eclectic and limit the hikes to around 15 people which better facilitates dining after and private parties. You won't find nor do we want 50 people on any hike we do. We may do other outdoor activities if not already posted in our main group. Main rule is please change your rsvp to not going at least one day before if not going.

Thanks for joining our Meetup Group! We want to welcome you to Central Jersey Ski & Snowboard Club and hope you will decide to join us in our on-snow and year-round social activities. Participating in our Meetup group will hopefully familiarize you with our club, but it is no substitute to coming to a Club meeting and experiencing what we are all about first-hand. We are an all-volunteer organization run by members, for members. CJSC was formed in 1971, and owns a Vermont lodge in the heart of the Green Mountains that we built in 1975 (it’s close to Killington and Sugarbush). So the Club has been around longer than Meetup has! Regular Club meetings are held at Town and Country Inn, Keyport NJ, 1st and third Wednesdays from October through March, and at pre-announced shore area bars and restaurants in Spring and Summer. Guests are welcome to attend all meetings -- we are a friendly group. We do enjoy sharing the passion for skiing, boarding and all types of outdoor activities with others who share this interest -- or those that are just learning to love the snow. Joining this group and joining the club are not the same thing. Current membership dues to join the Club are $75 per year. RSVP’ing here is just a way of telling other meetup group members that you plan to attend an event but in the case of trips, you'll need to attend a meeting to formally register and submit payment.
