This Meetup Group will build on its reputation of providing high-quality Photoshop, Lightroom and other photo-related events and workshops (primarily in central New Jersey, New York City and other locations across the Northeast US).

The group was originally founded in 2011 by longtime professional photographer and Photoshop professional Susan J. Meyer, and it is currently managed by Andrew Darlow, a NJ-based author, photographer and consultant.

Below is my bio so that you know a bit more about me, and in what areas of photography I specialize. I encourage you to suggest Meetups on specific topics from the link on the top of the group’s main webpage.

BIO: Andrew Darlow

Andrew Darlow is a photographer and consultant based in New Jersey. For over 20 years, he has consulted on the topics of digital photography, digital output, and color management. Andrew Darlow is photographer, writer and digital imaging consultant.

He is the former Editorial Director of Digital Imaging Techniques Magazine, and the current editor of ImagingBuffet.com, an online imaging magazine. His photographic work and technical articles have been published internationally and featured in numerous magazines and websites, including Photo District News, Popular Photography and Rangefinder magazine.

He has lectured and conducted seminars and Master Classes around the world at conferences and for photography organizations and schools, including the Arles Photo Festival (Arles, France), Columbia University, WPPI and the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York. His work has been widely exhibited and his prints are held in numerous private collections.

His book, "301 Inkjet Tips and Techniques: An Essential Printing Resource for Photographers," covers tips and techniques for prepping, printing and displaying prints made using inkjet printers. The book was chosen as the winner in the “Photography: Instructional/How-To” category of The National Best Books Awards, sponsored by USA Book News.

His pet photography has been featured in many publications and websites, including Animal Fair magazine, The Home News Tribune, NJ.com and The AKC Gazette, the official publication of the American Kennel Club. Darlow has photographed a wide variety of people and their pets in both formal and informal situations, and his photo sessions have included custom prints on watercolor paper, photo paper and canvas using inkjet and photo printmaking material.

Over the last 20+ years, Darlow has photographed numerous dog shows, including the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. He has appeared on radio shows and his pet photography has appeared on the News 12 New Jersey Television program. Darlow has donated his photo and custom printing services over the years to a number of causes, including the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Women's Venture Fund, The Seeing Eye (Guide Dog Training Institute), and the garden tour for Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (a no-kill shelter for dogs and cats). His book, "Pet Photography 101: Tips for Taking Better Photos of Your Dog or Cat," contains over 100 tips for getting better images of people and their pets.
