This group designed for anyone who loves playing soccer and wants to meet others who share the same passion. Our goal is to create a fun, welcoming environment where players of all levels can come together, improve their skills, and enjoy the game. At each event, we’ll organize friendly matches, rotate teams to keep things fresh, and ensure everyone gets plenty of playing time. Beyond just competition, we’ll focus on having a good time, making new friends, and fostering a positive atmosphere both on and off the field.

Welcome !! We are a fun group that host a wide variety of events including hiking, visiting special exhibitions, coffee socials, happy hour events, wine tastings, dinners at popular restaurants, outdoor activities and urban exploration. Some of us have discussed planning road trips out of the area. You should join if you’d like to experience fun adventures while meeting new exciting people. Join so you don’t miss any opportunity to join our spectacular events.

**OUR MISSION:** After spending most of our lives traveling the world looking for adventure, Salli and I have found a new pastime - exploring our own backyard and having people join us in the fun. Our main purpose is simple: to bring together fun-loving people who not only enjoy getting out and discovering unique places, but also want to share their experiences with others. By attracting singles, couples and people from all age groups and ethnicities our hope is to create friendships that will last a lifetime. Our events will be varied and include visits to unique scenic areas that may not be familiar to most Clevelanders. Other activities will include kayaking local rivers, lake cruises, zipline courses, road trips, winter walks, wine and beer tastings, and seasonal attractions. Since there are plenty of purely hiking, biking and kayaking groups already out there, we do not plan to compete with them. Salli and I want our events to be done at a leisurely enough pace so that we can take the time to fully experience the places we visit. This will be our mission and how we will differ from other groups. **OUR ONLY REQUIREMENT:** The only requirement to membership is that you provide a REAL picture of yourself and a REAL name. No cartoons, nicknames or initials please! It causes a lot of unnecessary confusion at events when we don't know what somebody looks like and don't know their name. If you have a legitimate reason for not providing these please let me know, but I prefer having no exceptions. **FREE MEMBERSHIP:** I will never charge a fee to members of our group. Organizers should be able to pay for their own subscription. Meetup should be free to everyone! **ABOUT OUR "HIKES":** We are NOT a pure hiking group. Our "hikes" are not intended to be non-stop, cardio workouts. Walking for us is simply a mode of transportation - a way to access areas that have a particular scenic value. You can expect us to stop often to experience the surroundings, take pictures and maybe even have a conversation about what we are visiting. We will travel at no MORE than 3MPH (20 minute miles) and never leave anyone behind. If you need to move at a faster, non-stop pace or don't care about your surroundings, this is definitely not a group for you. **RESTAURANT POLICY:** I want to restrict restaurant attendance to those people who do the ENTIRE event. It is so difficult dealing with restaurants right now that I want to make sure that we have enough seating before allowing others to attend. Jeff & Salli events are never intended to be "restaurant only" so I hope you all understand. **ABOUT RSVPs:** Attendance at events is important to everybody. If you RSVP to something, please make every effort to attend and be on-time. If not, please do us a favor by changing it early enough so that we know you are not coming. It makes it very difficult to reserve space at certain venues when we don't have an accurate count. Also, if you have purchased a ticket and find out that you can't attend, please let me know and I can usually find someone who wants to buy your ticket before the day of the event. **RSVPing to PREPAID EVENTS:** If you are new to Meetup I need to explain how prepaid events work. Merely RSVPing to something doesn't guarantee you a seat or buy a ticket. It only tells an organizer that you are INTERESTED in attending. You still need to read the info on how to buy a ticket and complete that process before you can attend. RSVPs are simply a statement of interest and not a guarantee or ticket purchase. **NO-SHOWS:** These are always a problem with Meetups. There are so many people who will sign up for many events early and end up forgetting which ones they've committed to. Hello readers! This is a book club for all lovers of books. We will be rotating between various genres. Non-Fiction, Contemporary Fiction and Classics. Our meetings will be held once per month, generally the third Wednesday of the month. Locations will vary, at least initially. We will meet at coffee shops, outdoors, and when all else fails Zoom. Outdoor events will start with an initial book discussion followed by a short hike.

Dues/Fees: There are no set dues to belong to this Meetup group. Donations are always appreciated and will go back to the club. Meetup charges organizers roughly $100 every six months, any donations will first go to paying those charges. If you are willing and able to donate please contact Liz.

Lets find a friend, a companion, a mate, or even a date! You must be at least 58 You must be single You must live in Lorain County or a nearby city. Most events will be within the Cleveland area. Please note all events are scheduled as a group outing.

Hi! We have changed the name of our group from Female Friends at 49+ to Life Begins at 49. We have six new organizers that are ready to revive this group and plan some fun events around the Cleveland area. We are all brand new to this group and we are ready to welcome new friends. You can also check out our Facebook page which is under Life Begins at 49. Have you spent your 20’s, 30’s, and 40’s dedicated to career, children and family? In doing so, you may be in the same boat as many of us… through time, those early life connections with our female friends were lost and as we are getting on in age, we want to connect in meaningful relationships with other like-minded successful women. This group’s genre of gatherings will likely be eclectic. It will evolve with its members. We have discussed events such as meeting for dinner/lunch, Cedar Point, events at the Cleveland zoo, hiking, book club, knitting, pickleball, wine tasting, theater, volunteering, movies and exploring new things. We are open to ideas! Our organizers are active professionals. We are looking forward to meeting new women and building new relationships. Studies show that meaningful friendships are just as important to your health as eating proper and exercising! Women of all walks of life are welcome! The purpose of the group is for females to have a place to meet other females and build meaningful friendships. Please be responsible regarding signing up and showing up for events. We will meet a different locations and enjoy an activity such as Hiking Biking Driving range Frisbee Cornhole Walking the beach Geocaching Most of my activities will not include dining as we will be about promoting a healthy lifestyle. All will be encouraged to bring water and a healthy snack. Helmet are encouraged as well as hiking poles but not mandatory. Some trails may be uneven and may have roots sticking out of the ground. By attending the meet up, you assume ALL risk for your safety and will not hold the organizer responsible for injury. ATTENDANCE:. IMPORTANT! Please don't sign up for an event that you know you may not be able to make. People that sign up for these meetups should treat it like an appointment, not a last minute thing to do. Welcome to Spokes N' Jokes. We are Cleveland's Oldest Running Social Bike Riding Group on Meetup! This is a local Co-ed biking group ages 21 and up that likes to ride their bikes in a group setting. This is a non competitive group that is created to build social networks of bike riders. This is a social group, which means we put social and fun first. Anyone looking to race or brag about their bike might not fit in too well here. Spokes N' Jokes is a judgement free zone. Whether your bike is expensive or found in a dumpster, everyone is welcome here at Spokes N' Jokes. This group is laid back with the goal of exploring new trails, meeting new friends and trying new places to eat. Spokes N' Jokes is a casual cycling group. While it is not a "speed group" it is not a beginner group either. Usually speeds are between 10 to 12 mph. The group was founded with the no rider left behind motto and I stand by it. Each event organizer understands this as well. Spokes N' Jokes has evolved into a "Traveling" bike group. We feature one trail a month that is out of the area to try. We have gotten board doing the same trails over and over again so once a month, we feature something out of the area to explore. We still occasionally put up the local rides, dubbed Spokes N' Jokes classics to enjoy. Trails consist of rail trails and metro parks with the occasional Single Track thrown in there. Spokes N' Jokes is open to people who enjoy life and are not easily offended. Bikers who are compared to Lance Armstrong, Greg Lamond, or anyone attempting "X-Games" stunts are NOT going to enjoy this leisure activity especially for these rides. On our casual rides, there is a no "Lancing Policy." That means this ride is not a full throttle Olympic time trial. Faster Riders must understand the speed of the group. So if you feel like riding, trying new places, have a good sense of humor and want to meet new friends, welcome aboard! \ \*\*Spokes N' Jokes is not liable for any injuries that may occur while attending our events.
