Outdoor activities groups near Dayton, OH

This is a group for people who are interested in hiking (and other outdoor activities (and also burgers and beer)) as a way to get exercise, explore the city, and meet other outdoor enthusiasts.

I've recently fallen in love with hiking, so beginners and experienced hikers are welcome. I would love to have other hikers who know the area to join and help lead hikes. We're looking to add hikes of multiple difficulties and speeds.

Most hikes will be from 2 to 3 hours, and we will post the speed and difficulty for each hike.

Meet friends, have fun, and participate in diverse activities! If you are new in town, new to the country, a native to the area, single, married, divorced, or something else that hasn’t been categorized, and you want to make friends, this group may be for you.

What makes us different? The area between Cincinnati and Dayton is fast growing and under-represented in the Meetup arena. We are trying to bridge that gap with social activities that take place all over this region.

What else? If you’re shy, come early and meet with the organizers first. We will do our best to make you feel at ease and introduce you to others as they arrive for an event. 

Is that all? Remember, we can organize events, but without you, there is no group. So sign up and get active!

Dayton Running Club is a social group for runners. We host a speed workout, social run, and bike path run every week. Our Social Run Thursday meets at a different local bar every Thursday night. The course is marked, with cones, signs and chalk arrows, by club volunteers. Afterwards, we celebrate with food and drinks at the bar. Tuesday we have Speed Training at a local outdoor track where we work on running techniques, perform drills and sprints to improve pace. On most weekends, we meet for local races or organize a bike path run.

Do fun stuff around Dayton with some amazing people! Experience the best of what Dayton has to offer with folks who have a lot in common with you. Some activities will be planned weeks in advance. Some will be last-minute pop-up events. Contact the organizers if you have ideas for other fun events.

Miami Valley Cycling is a meet up group that post a variety of bike rides and events in the Dayton area. Any cycling group or individual is welcome to post rides. We want people to enjoy the many cycling activities going on in our area.

We have ride postings from the Dayton Cycling Club, Major Taylor Cycling club, Five River Metro Parks,Greene Country Trail as well as, informal groups and individuals

Post your next touring or training ride.  Share your favorite routes ! Any one can be a ride leader. Members have access to free ride mapping software to post and share rides.

Hello everyone! When we have our game nights it ranges from Beer pong,, pool, bowling, darts, video games, board games

Games: Friday the 13th,Warframe, Gears of War, Halo 4, You don't Know Jack, Rock Band 3, LIPS, Fibbage XL, Drawful, Word Spud, Lie Swatter, Cards Against Humanity, Poker........ and so on

Festivals and concerts.

We like to go out as well to restaurants and some places to catch a drink or two in groups.

We enjoy Comic and Anime Conventions in groups.

Airsoft is another thing we are into.

We love to go to the theaters and such in groups to watch movies. 

Also when we have major gaming events at our house we have these following separate areas for the different gaming events, sometimes all at once.

• dining area has pool table/air hockey game and a dart board

• kitchen has dining room table for cards against humanity and such

• garage has beer pong

• Rock band room has Rockband 3 and Lips

• Game room has of course a crap load of tv's monitors for video games via lan parties

• Theater room also for fighting games, singing games, rock-band games, and movies of course

• living room has Fibbage XL, Drawful, Word Spud, Lie Swatter, and You Don't Know Jack

• Card or Board Game area as well

For all who love to camp, sit around the fire with friends, and enjoy the outdoors, or just want meet people and try it out, join us as we explore state parks. We will be staying in the campgrounds with electricity. Water, showers, and flush toilets available. Many will have full hookups.
