Women's Social & Outdoor Community

Kent, OH

Hello to all the incredible, kind, and trailblazing women out there! Welcome to our Women's Social and Outdoor Community, where all are embraced with open arms. If you're seeking connection, an outdoor family, travel opportunities, and a safe, loving environment, then look no further – you've found your tribe. Our collective is all about exploring the great outdoors, hiking, and coming together both in nature and indoors during the colder months. We're dedicated to empowering women through genuine connections and our shared love for adventure. Whether we're hitting the trails, gathering for social meetups, or simply enjoying each other's company over a meal, this is a space where authenticity reigns supreme, and everyone can feel free to be themselves. Our schedule is flexible, but you can expect a weekly meetup, along with a monthly social gathering where we bond over good food, perhaps engage in a workshop or two, or simply enjoy each other's company. And once a year, if circumstances allow, we'll plan a special women's retreat – an empowering journey of hiking and self-discovery. In Ohio's great outdoors, we'll come together for weekly hikes, and as the weather warms, we'll host more frequent outdoor socials – camping trips, extended hikes, potlucks, and gatherings centered around our shared passions. This group is inclusive and adaptable – it's whatever we make of it, together. We can't wait to hit the trails with you and forge lifelong friendships along the way. Join us, and let's embark on this adventure together!

Kick A** Cleveland

Independence, OH

Kick A** Cleveland
This group is for people who don’t want to wait on their friends to finally say “yes” to get out to enjoy events around Cleveland and see the world. Life is too short and the world is too big! **The local events in this group are member-driven** so if you’d like to host a Meetup in your area (i.e. hike, snorkel, take a walk/jog, play pickleball, go for a picnic, or any other outdoors activity), feel free to let me know and I'll help you get it set up in the group! The trips in this group are usually 90% solo travelers but everyone is welcome, female/male, solo/couple/friends, straight/LGBTQIA+! So let’s travel together with fun, like-minded travelers! If you have an open mind and are kind to fellow travelers, you will fit in perfectly on these trips! **NOTE:** The people on these trips are from all over the States but you’ll always be connected with people from the same city on a trip so you can meet up face to face and get to know your future travel buddies prior to the trip. You’ll also be connected to the whole group via email prior to the trip so you can virtually get to know those that are from different areas. On average, the people on each trip are 90% solo travelers but it’s hard to predict the exact demographic for each trip so please keep this in mind. Feel free to join the Facebook group to connect with past travelers on these trips, see pictures, ask questions, funny travel memes, travel-related articles, etc: [https://www.facebook.com/groups/613025845523107](https://www.facebook.com/groups/613025845523107) The trips in this group are put on by a tour company called Globe Drifters and they focus on small group trips geared towards solo travelers with the mission of giving new meaning to travel by putting the human experience at the heart of their trips. The groups are small, usually with 12 people maximum per trip and about 90% of everyone on each trip are solo travelers so you’re not stuck being the odd man out on trips with mostly couples. You’ll have the best of both worlds, solo travel with the security of a small group of other solo travelers for some company on your adventure! To contact Globe Drifters directly, you can email [info@globe-drifters.com](mailto:info@globe-drifters.com).

WhyNot Adventures

Akron, OH

WhyNot Adventures

WhyNot Adventures Who we are and what we do.

WhyNot Adventures is a social group that in various forms has been sponsoring hiking and outdoor activities of several decades. Our most frequent regularly scheduled activity is hiking on Sunday mornings beginning in October and continuing through April.

As our members have multiple interests including biking, kayaking and camping, these activities are also posted on our site, especially during our non hiking summer season.

Our Sunday Hikes begin at 9:30. Please allow yourself enough travel time to arrive, introduce yourself, and be ready to leave promptly out of consideration for those who have.

We hike rain, snow, or shine throughout the winter and spring, so dress accordingly for the conditions. Our hikes are social events but they are hikes, and though we stop frequently, they are not usually a stroll in the park. It is not always be the case, but depending on conditions, you should expect and be prepared for stream crossings, elevation gains, rough and potentially muddy trails.

Also depending on conditions and the group makeup we may have trail options of distance and difficulty. We stop and regroup during the course of the hike so none are left behind. Always let someone know if you are having difficulty.

Dogs and children who are well behaved and under control so as not to interfere or endanger others are welcome. Park regulations require dogs to be on leash. Leashes for children are optional unless behavior is a problem.

Please come prepared to enjoy the day and your fellow hikers. Many of us go to lunch together at a nearby restaurant following the hike. Food has always an important part of our group activities
