Cincinnati Vegan Meetup (Active 2024)

Cincinnati, OH

Cincinnati Vegan Meetup (Active 2024)
🌱 **Join Our Vegan & Vegetarian Social Club!** 🌱 There used to be some vegan groups on here but they became inactive over time. Here's a new one that promises to be active in organizing events. I hope members are active in joining and following through. Anyways: Looking for a fun, inclusive community to connect with like-minded individuals? Our Vegan & Vegetarian Social Club is the perfect place! We focus on socializing, enjoying diverse activities, and discussing a variety of topics, all while sharing our passion for a plant-based lifestyle. Whether you're a vegan or vegetarian with some vegan preferences, come join us for: 🍲 Potluck dinners 📚 Book club meetings 🎥 Movie nights 🍳 Cooking classes 🚴 Outdoor activities 🎲 Game nights 🍴 Restaurant outings We welcome everyone who shares our love for delicious plant-based food and great company. Let's build friendships and have fun together! Disclaimer: While the events will be vegan/vegetarian, the group will not be an activism first type group. Feel free to discuss important issues but please no uncivil debates or gatekeeping or trying to outdo one another. Please do not actively debate politics. Please be people that are vegetarian/vegan with personalities and unique stories to share. Please do not "only be" vegetarians/vegans. Let's socialize and have some fun. Please also do not debate every event activity we choose. Every business does something wrong. Every product has ancillary impacts on something. Some are worse than others. Some ought to be better. We are imperfect people and we are looking to be vegetarian/vegan and have fun. Let's unite in that rather than looking for division. If something does not fit your moral compass, please abstain and I'm sure the next event will be right for you. You're always welcome to suggest activities as well.

Camping is at our core, but we also enjoy hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking, boating, and local entertainment. We also have joint events with other like-minded groups so you may see our events posted elsewhere. We organize campouts in the SW Ohio region primarily but as adventurers, we also explore Ohio and our neighboring states! Have an idea for a campout? Let us know! Come as you are, everyone is welcome to bring their hammock, tent, sleeping bag, camper, RV, or whatever it is they wish to camp in. Event details will indicate if the campout is at a group camp or if you should make your reservation. We prefer to stay at county, state, and national parks if possible! My role as the organizer is to facilitate the creation of a community of campers who enjoy being around each other and the outdoors. If you’d like to join our group your profile must have a photo of your face with no sunglasses. The exception is if a person on the leadership team has met or knows you. Don’t know anyone? DM the organizer to see if you can come as their guest. Stayed tuned to this space, we're going camping!

Helpful Friends of SW Ohio: Herpes Social and Support Group

West Chester, OH

Helpful Friends of SW Ohio: Herpes Social and Support Group
Helpful Friends Network of SW Ohio – Support and Social Events for the Herpes HSV-1 and -2 Community What we're about: Helpful Friends Network is a PRIVATE member-run social group for adults in Southwest Ohio (the Cincinnati and Dayton areas) and northern Kentucky. Our organization is for adults 30 and over who have been diagnosed with Herpes Simplex Virus Types 1 and/or 2 (HSV-1, HSV-2). We are also open to their partners. We serve those who may be interested in meeting, sharing their experiences and socializing with others without fear or stigma. It's good to share social encounters with those who face the same uncertainties and challenges of living and/or dating that you do. Our community strives to not only be a social network for our members but also a group that promotes support and education rather than ignorance and shame. Helpful Friends Network is a Members-Only community. Therefore, information posted on our site will only be accessible to other members of this Meetup group. We welcome everyone 30 and above who is interested in making new friends, sharing fun monthly activities together, and meeting and interacting with others who share our surprisingly common situation. While our group description is viewable to non-members, only people who carry genital herpes (HSV-1, HSV-2) viruses or their partners may join. Since this population of those with the virus includes 1 in 6 adult Americans, you know that you are not alone. Isn't it better to know that, even if you are non-symptomatic now, you are among people who share your concerns? Only approved members can view info about our monthly group “Talk-It-Over” discussions and fun social events and other content. As you are well aware, herpes does not discriminate and neither do we. We welcome people from 30 to 100, all ethnicities, all professions, religions, political affiliations and outside interests. Whether you come as a single or a couple, are introverted or outgoing, we are here for you. We're a diverse and wonderful mix of people and we strive to make the most of it! Those who are new to this situation are especially welcome to the group. We make special efforts to introduce you to other friendly members so that you’ll feel right at home. We are also a very discreet group. If you would not like for others to see this or other groups you are part of, you can hide your groups in your Meetup settings. This can be done by clicking on "My Groups" in the middle of your Meetup profile and choosing to hide your groups, making them private. If you share our condition and situation, we urge you to join us! You are not alone!

Cingles.Net: a Social Network for Cincy-area Singles Over 45

West Chester, OH

Cingles.Net: a Social Network for Cincy-area Singles Over 45
**Welcome to Greater Cincinnati's largest singles organization** where Cincinnati-area singles over 45 can meet, network, socialize with and get to know other single professionals just like you! Come to the CINgles.Net Meetup and develop new friends...and maybe more! We generally host social events around Cincinnati and the surrounding areas, mainly for singles from 45 through 75. If you fall just outside that range, don't worry, we don't check IDs at the door. These events include cocktail parties, dinner parties, dinner dances, wine tastings, theme parties and dances, after-work gatherings, charity events, festivals and other low-key but fun social get-togethers. Attendance varies widely by event, from anywhere around 20 singles to over 100 singles. It is a great way to meet and get connected! When an event is planned you will get a notification. Please choose "Yes" if you would like to attend. There is no need to choose "No" if you don't wish to attend. The "No" designation is for those who previously said "Yes" but now need to notify us that they have changed their plans. Please read our "[Crew Rules](https://goo.gl/Cd4sj5)" This is a group for anyone looking for good times, new adventures, and meeting new people. If you would like to be a host just let us know via message or when you join in your answers. Everyone was a new member once so don't let that hold you back! [https://www.meetup.com/Cingles.Net-Social-Network-for-Cincinnati-Singles-Over-45/](https://www.meetup.com/Cingles-Net-Social-Network-for-Cincinnati-Singles-Over-40/) **MEMBERS**: If a stranger messages you, please let an organizer know; we will do everything we can to stop unwanted messages. We will ban them. It is creepy (and probably a scam or player) if someone messages a member they have not met (other than hosts on an event you are going to or interested in). Don't send instant messages through Meetup to folks you haven't met. Propositions to meet outside of Meetup events to a virtual stranger are creepy. Of course, a relevant message to an event host regarding an upcoming meetup is different. Thank you for your consideration. Players, there are plenty of other sites if you just want to hook up one on one, don't make folks feel unsafe here. If you have done a meetup with someone and want to send them a good-to-see/meet-you follow-up that is totally different, but if they do not reply or aren't interested don't be a "Meetup creep". Of course, it's great if folks "meetup" and some magic develops. So please remember while it is fun to "meetup", this group is not "hookup.com" or "match.com". Not everyone here is single or seeking a romance. Remember if you receive an unsolicited message or suspicious or inappropriate behavior, please report it to Senny, as it can be grounds for immediate dismissal of violating party. They probably are spamming others here and in other groups. We will ban them. LEGAL DISCLAIMER AND LIABILITY POLICY: By joining this group, RSVPing to events, and attending events, you are confirming that you have read, understand, accept and are legally bound by the following: 1\. This is a Meetup group\. Attending events or trips is voluntary by you as a member\. Participation in any activity with us by you is at your own risk\. You assume the risk for any guest you bring\, adult or minor\. 2\. By joining us as a member you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the group\, its organizers\, co\-organizers\, assistant organizers\, event hosts\, other members and guests from all claims or liability of every type \(including court costs and legal fees\) for injury or death to any person or for damage to property\, loss of personal property or any other wrongful act arising out of or relating to your participation as a member\. This agreement applies to you and to other persons who may accompany you in these endeavors\, adult or minor\. 3\. You also agree to hold the organizers as well as other group members harmless\. By participating voluntarily in the group\, you expressly waive any and all such claims against each and every other member and their guests in the group\, including without limitation any and all claims against the group organizers\, co\-organizers\, assistant organizers\, and event hosts\. 4\. Any social events or trips that we sponsor\, hold or provide information about will fall also under the same Disclaimer and Liability guidelines listed above\. 5\. Negative or adversarial comments\, posts or actions can result in the removal and banning of the offending party\.
