Instead of the usual happy hour or office setting, we focus on getting away from the screen and enjoying activities like hiking, jogging, kayaking, skiing, or even catching a Timbers game or volunteering. Welcome to Sober Outdoors! This group is for outdoor lovers who want to connect with like-minded individuals in a sober environment. We meet to explore the community, visit dog parks, engage in trail jogging, hiking, backpacking, camping, paddleboarding, and other various outdoor hobbies. Our activities focus on staying sober with or without the 12-step program. This is not an AA affiliate so do not feel like you need to be in recovery to join. The only requirement is a desire to live a sober life outside. Join us for some fun and adventurous outings as we enjoy the beauty of nature together!

We’re two Portland families with four teens and tweens organizing in-person events. Come join us to hike, swim, bowl, camp, play board games, go to Escape Rooms and attend theater events—and other activities the teens want to do in person.

Ceasefire. Ongoing meetup every Wednesday afternoon at 6 PM on Hall Blvd across from Beaverton Main Library. Bring peace signs, meet fellow activists, make a statement in favor of peace in the middle east and against genocide. This is a peaceful vigil; everyone welcome who advocates for peace and justice. No registration required. Just show up any Wednesday at 6 PM. Stay for 10 minutes or stay for an hour.

Hi! The goal of this group is to meet up once or twice a week and hike at local nature parks. Hikes will vary between 2-5 miles. I'm hoping to meet new people with similar interests and create lasting relationships. On the hikes we will talk get to know each other and enjoy the outdoors.

This group is for meeting outdoors for meditation practice. Self explanatory! Meditating outdoors offers many benefits, including the sights, sounds and smells of nature. We will join for discussion, sharing of techniques and experience, and practice of moving, walking meditation, and seated meditation. People of all experience levels, ages, genders, ethnicities, body and personality types, and walks of life are welcome, as long as you are kind and respectful to others. Donations are optional. This group is for travelers who don’t want to wait on their friends to finally say “yes” to travel. Life is too short and the world is too big! The trips in this group are usually 90% solo travelers but everyone is welcome, female/male, solo/couple/friends, straight/LGBTQIA+! So let’s travel together with fun, like-minded travelers! This adult group is for 20-somethings and 30-somethings who love the outdoors and want to experience it with other like-minded people. All skill levels are welcome. Hikes will mostly be around Portland and the surrounding area and will vary in difficulty and length. Looking to meet people? The goal of this group is to create an atmosphere where you'll be sure to have fun and make friends, all while staying in shape or getting in better shape and clearing your mind in the great outdoors. Dogs are welcome on hikes, but note that a small number of trails will not allow them, and these will be clearly noted beforehand. For out-of-town hikes with limited availability, please only sign up if you are sure you will attend. For a little clarity on the group demographics, it caters to the 20-39 year crowd. We are unable to accommodate children under 18.

This is a group for people 55+ that are not done having fun and meeting new friends for the best time of our lives. While singles are encouraged this is not a group for finding a date or significant other. Couples and singles are welcome and diversity is encouraged in our group. Whether you want to make a fourth for a fun game of pinnocle, or take a beautiful hike in the gorge, boat the Columbia/Willamette or take an all inclusive vacation (paid) to the Baja Penninsula there will be opportunities to do fun things with like minded people.
