Looking to get out, active, and social with your dog? Perfect! You're in the right spot. Hi, I'm Tracy, a certified dog trainer and canine and human fitness trainer. I just relocated to Eugene and after hosting 70+ pack walks in Los Angeles, I'm excited to offer these monthly events for people and their dogs in/around Eugene. All dogs welcome. One dog allowed per handler. No dog required to attend. **Requirements:** * Dogs must be at least 6 months old. * Dog's up-to-date vaccine records (DHPP, Bordatella, and Rabies) shared at least 24 hours before they attend their first pack walk. * Signed liability waiver must be submitted at least 24 hours before you and/or your dog attend your first pack walk. * Dogs must be on a 6-8 foot standard leash. Retractable leashes and slip collars are not allowed. * Always bring water for you AND your dog (don't forget a bowl). * One dog per handler. **Have a DINOS (Dog In Need of Space)?** Our pack follows the Yellow Dog Project. Once you have more than 3 no shows, you will be removed from the pack. This is out of consideration to your fellow walkers as well as myself.

We are group of young professional in the Eugene and Springfield that do volunteer work to help the youth in the community. This is the Eugene chapter, we are one of many Active 20-30 clubs in the USA and Central and South America. We do a lot of work in the community including fundraising, and helping at events with kids. Active 20-30 is also for personal development and growth and a great place to meet new friends. We are currently doing a membership drive and looking for more people to join our club. We are new to Meetup, but our club has been around for 97 years strong!
Anyone is welcome to attend our events, but to join, people must be between the ages of 20-39. We have many socials, and a lot of national and international travel opportunities, besides volunteering .

Spencer Butte Sunset Hikers

Eugene, OR

We'll do a regular sunset hike up Spencer Butte every Wednesday evening. It's a great opportunity to see the amazing variety in the sunsets. We chat and get to know each other while we hike and watch the sunset. We often share information about other outdoor activities in the area.

Everyone is welcome. Spencer Butte is a challenging two mile round trip hike with 800' of elevation gain. We go at our own desired speeds on the way up, so do not feel that you need to be able to "keep up" with everyone. On the way down we make sure that whoever is last isn't alone. (If you haven't been physically active in some time or have health concerns, please confirm with your doctor that this activity is appropriate for you before joining us.)

Sometimes after the hike we get together at a restaurant or bar.

The Wednesday sunset hike is the core activity for the group. A few other hikes and activities may get posted during the year. There may be some other more spontaneous Spencer Butte hikes during the week, but we'll see how that works out.

The Eugene Go Club doesn't seem to have reformed since COVID started, and since things are looking better for the time being (knock on wood), I'd like to propose we start meeting again! My goals for the group are: 1. To be as inclusive as possible for both new players and people who are conscious about COVID precautions. This means dedicating time to teaching new players and wearing masks when possible. 2. To provide a regular meeting place for playing and potentially have lectures or study groups for players of all levels. 3. To have fun and grow a community :) I'd like to find a place that we could meet year round, but given that outdoor seating is still best to mitigate the spread of COVID, that will be difficult. For the time being I'm going to propose meeting at the 5th Street Market since it's covered and has some amenities around. Please let me know if you have any concerns or questions!

We will be doing fun social get togethers, such as potluck brunches or dinners, game nights, winery outings, book discussions on culturally relevant topics, and when we get a chance, political activism in the form of writing postcards to get out the vote, political watch parties, marching and protests. Most often our events are members only, but we also include welcome guests or partners for many. We welcome you to come and get your toes wet, to any event you might enjoy. There is no commitment here, just get acquainted and see if we add something to your life that you’ve been needing!
