Group Goal: The goal of our Meetup group is to create a welcoming community for neurodivergent adults where we can connect, share experiences, and support one another. Looking to Meet: Looking to meet fellow neurodivergent individuals who are eager to make friends, share their stories, and build a supportive network. Whether you're newly diagnosed or have been navigating neurodivergence for years, everyone is welcome! What We Will Do at Events: At our events, we’ll engage in fun activities, share interests, and create opportunities for meaningful connections. We’ll host social gatherings, support group discussions, and various activities tailored to our members’ preferences. Whether it’s game nights or casual meetups, the focus will be on having fun and fostering friendships in a supportive environment.

Do you live in the Harrisburg/West Shore area? Are you looking to meet some like minded individuals who share similar interests? Exploring local activities, Hiking, Volunteering and Dining out is what we are all about. But, this meet-up can be whatever you would like it to be. Feel free to use the "Discussions" section to post an idea and one of our organizer will co-ordinate with you to make it happen. 

We are an all inclusive group and welcome everyone. We encourage you to voice your opinions and suggestions. We would appreciate if you could have a profile picture that clearly shows your face. This makes it easier for members to recognize each other when we meet. 

We would like to maintain an active member representation. If you haven’t participated in at least one event per year or haven’t checked out the HALO meet-up site for more than a year, we will remove you due to inactivity. You are welcome to rejoin this group if you feel that this group can provide the activities that fits your interest.

We are geared towards enabling EVERYONE to have outdoor adventures; experienced & beginner alike. Also if you have a physical, mental or emotional disability of any type & require special support, guidance or even special equipment. For experienced folks we have challenging hikes, paddles etc that will help you to push your limits & miles. For beginners & disabled we have shorter events as well & are able to make accommodations & provide support as needed. If you have a disability that requires special attention of any type, please private message me as soon as possible upon RSVP so we can make accommodations and acquire special equipment as needed. Also, if you’re a beginner & simply need to borrow gear. I can accommodate a few kayaks, canoe, tents, fishing gear and other misc outdoor equipment during participation in the group.

Current members please observe this rule or your membership will be revoked.** If you love the outdoors or think you might, welcome! The goal of our group is find people who have similar outdoor interests and get them together while allowing those who would like to do something different from their normal activities a chance for new experiences. And, of course, to have fun while doing it! From exploratory kayaking on many of our local creeks and rivers to backpacking on the Appalachian Trail, from rock climbing to skydiving, you'll find someone here who shares your interests. The Event Organizers are the key that keeps this group running. When inquiring about an event, please make sure you contact the person organizing that event, as they will have the most up-to-date information. Remember to thank your Event Organizer, as they volunteer to create the events and keep things fun for everyone. So let's get outside and play! Looking for a relaxed and leisurely hiking/walking group? You've come to the right place! Welcome and I hope you enjoy your time with us! What is mindful hiking? * Being present while on a hike, aka no cell phone, headphones, etc. activity. * Uniting with nature using all senses as a guide to appreciate all it's offerings. * Talking, laughter, and community is **strongly encouraged**, however, members should refrain from controversial topics of political, religious or gossip in nature and ALWAYS remain respectful to fellow hikers. Disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated and will be cause for immediate removal from the group. What isn't mindful hiking? * Not hiking point A to B as fast as you can. * Not a group where the sole purpose is to get exercise on a hike. * Not affiliated with any religion, but more a way of life…a peaceful and drama-free life! While most of the events will be leisurely hikes to appreciate nature, fresh air and outdoor activity, we will also welcome meditation, yoga, bird watching, and similarly aligned events. In order to be accepted in this group you must 1) have an identifiable photo of yourself in your profile picture and 2) use the name you'd like to be referred to in your profile and add your last name initial. It's suggested you do not provide your full last name, but it is up to you. I'm looking for event leaders so please send me a message if you have an idea for a mindful hike or other similar event.

This group is for 20-somethings and 30-somethings who love the outdoors and want to experience it with other like-minded people. All skill levels are welcome. Hikes will mostly be around Central Pennsylvania and will vary in difficulty and length. Looking to meet people? This is a great laid-back group where you'll be sure to have fun and make friends, all while staying in shape or getting in better shape and clearing your mind in the great outdoors. Dogs are welcome on hikes, but note that a small number of trails will not allow them, and these will be clearly noted beforehand. Attendance/RSVP rules: - Members must RSVP and attend at least one event every 6 months to remain active in the group - After 2 no-shows in a 6 month period (RSVP'ing yes to an event and not showing up for the event), members will be removed from the group

The ***PA Parks and Forests Events*** group is for anyone who loves PA's state parks and forests! Join us for volunteer days, educational trainings, fundraisers, conservation efforts, or being a part of one of 40+ Friend's Group chapters across the state. This group will show events hosted by Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation (PPFF). PPFF is a nonprofit that supports the 124 state parks and 2.2 million acres of forest across the commonwealth. We work towards helping removing accessibility barriers so everyone can experience the outdoors, host trainings and education opportunities, organize volunteer days, and assists 40+ Friend's Groups help support their park or forest. Welcome to the Enola Pickleball Group! This group is perfect for pickleball enthusiasts and people who are new to the sport and looking to learn. The Central PA ADHD Education & Support Group has been organized by BuxMont CHADD since 2020, when the previous organizer of this group stepped down. As an active CHADD chapter outside Philadelphia, the team at BuxMont knew we could fill the need for ADHD support in Central PA, as we had already moved to Zoom.
