Welcome to the Lancaster Rock Climbing Meetup Group! Whether you're a seasoned climber or just starting out, this group is for anyone who loves the thrill of scaling rocks. We organize indoor and outdoor climbing events in the Lancaster area, as well as trips to nearby climbing destinations. Join us for fun, challenging climbs, meet like-minded individuals, and expand your skills in a supportive and encouraging environment. Let's explore new routes, conquer new heights, and bond over our love for rock climbing together!

Exploring local activities, Hiking, Volunteering and Dining out is what we are all about. But, this meet-up can be whatever you would like it to be. Feel free to use the "Discussions" section to post an idea and one of our organizer will co-ordinate with you to make it happen. 

We are an all inclusive group and welcome everyone. We encourage you to voice your opinions and suggestions. We would appreciate if you could have a profile picture that clearly shows your face. This makes it easier for members to recognize each other when we meet. 

We would like to maintain an active member representation. If you haven’t participated in at least one event per year or haven’t checked out the HALO meet-up site for more than a year, we will remove you due to inactivity. We'll connect with nature and history through travel, crafts and exploration; pursue good physical health and wellbeing through activities such as pickleball, yoga and walking; we'll strive to maintain mental health and acuity with games such as Mahjongg; and enjoy a great time with new friends. We are a friendly and welcoming group of women from Mount Gretna and nearby communities in Lebanon and Lancaster county who enjoy getting together in the outdoors, mostly for hiking on area trails. This group was started several years ago after I moved to this area and realized there was an abundance of hiking trails in a close proximity, but being new to the area I was lacking anyone other than my husband with whom to hike. Over the past year I haven't been able to lead many hikes due to family issues, but now I'm hoping to rev things back up and get more hikes posted on a regular basis. Our hikes are generally close to home and relatively short so we can fit outdoors, exercise, and good conversation into our busy lives.

Welcome! This group is designed for those in the Lancaster area who LOVE getting social, active (usually outside!) and/or want to make new friends in the area.

We may do activities like: pick-up games of soccer and frisbee, hiking or camping out in the woods, biking a rail trail, dressing up to go out to dinner, dance or karaoke with live music, or just staying in for a board game with a lot of laughs.

All skill levels are welcome and we won't be super competitive with the sports, but if these activities bring you to life and you love to a bit of fun competition, let's goooooo!

Membership in atheist organizations is growing steadily and more people are standing up for their rights to be free from religion. The formation of the LFS is in response to the desire of Lancaster area free thinkers to become a part of this growing movement. **What is a Freethinker?** A freethinker is one who forms opinions about religion, independently of tradition, dogma, authority or established belief, in favor of rational inquiry. **Our goals:** \- Provide a social and intellectual **community** for freethinkers and their families. \- Enrich and empower our membership through education and activism \- Educate the public about non\-theists and church\-state separation \- Teach critical thinking skills and promote reason \- Defend and promote the separation of church and state   **Community** **is the primary goal of the Lancaster Freethought Society.** We strive to provide a community in the Lancaster area for Atheists, Agnostics, Secular Humanists, Skeptics, and Freethinkers of every stripe. We will search for ways to help our local community and help put a positive face on atheism. Some of these activities will be “Adopt a Highway” clean-ups, food drives, an “Ask An Atheist” booth at Lancaster Central Market, and participation in local festivals. We want to dispel the public perception of atheists as immoral self-centered people and secure a positive place in the hearts and minds of the community. **Family** is important to LFS. One of the things that religion does so well is to create a social support system and a sense of community for its members. LFS wants to fill this role for nonbelievers in the Lancaster area. If you are sick in the hospital, a member might be able to visit or watch your kids while your significant other goes grocery shopping. If you lost your job, LFS might be able to assist you in locating new employment. You will have a network of friends to lean on. We want to grow as a community with you and your families. **Education** is an important part of being a prepared organization.  Each monthly meeting will include a discussion. This can be a talk on anything related to freethought, science, religion, counter-apologetics, philosophy, or activism. Members are encouraged to write and present a talk concerning any of these subjects. Let us know if you are interested in doing so. We also plan on bringing in guest speakers from time to time to share their knowledge with us. **Events** are a great way to get to know each other, learn as a group, or just have fun. Join us at our monthly meeting. Come hang out with us on LFS Pub Nights. Families are welcome at picnics, play dates, pizza parties, bowling nights, and more! We try to mix up the days of the week that events occur on in order to give everyone the best chance to attend at least some of our events. **Activism** is sometimes needed to defend the separation of church and state in our area and nationwide, but picket lines are not the only form of activism. Charity events to help our local community, litter pickups, and helping those in need are also a form of activism. We are not haters in LFS but we will defend our rights. Carlisle MINI Motoring Club was formed in Carlisle Pennsylvania by Santiago Gabela and his wife Lois in 2006. Their first attempt to set up the club and develop an active membership was a slow process. Over the years our little (MINI) club has grown. We now have more than 450 members. We are geared towards enabling EVERYONE to have outdoor adventures; experienced & beginner alike. Also if you have a physical, mental or emotional disability of any type & require special support, guidance or even special equipment. For experienced folks we have challenging hikes, paddles etc that will help you to push your limits & miles. For beginners & disabled we have shorter events as well & are able to make accommodations & provide support as needed. If you have a disability that requires special attention of any type, please private message me as soon as possible upon RSVP so we can make accommodations and acquire special equipment as needed. Also, if you’re a beginner & simply need to borrow gear. I can accommodate a few kayaks, canoe, tents, fishing gear and other misc outdoor equipment during participation in the group.

Whether you are an experienced meditator, have done spiritual healing work or are just interested in perhaps bringing spirituality and healing into your daily life to make it work more smoothly, you are all welcome. I am hoping to meet both in person and to have virtual capability if someone can’t make it. Some of our activities can be different modalities of guided meditations (I’m open to anyone who wishes to do this and can do it as well); healing activities - self-healing, one on one healing, and group healing - both hands on and distance; sharing and socializing.
