North Texas Women’s Golf Group

Prosper, TX

North Texas Women’s Golf Group
Hello, ladies!!! I am excited to start this women’s golf group to play golf, meet new friends, and create lasting friendships, and fun memories!! This group is open to all women, all ages, and all golf skill levels. We seek to enjoy each other’s company and raise each other up, to enjoy, to laugh, and to play more golf and improve our game!!! I am brand new to being a meetup organizer and I have not played golf in several years but love the game, the beautiful course settings, and being social, so I am driven to create an active, fun, caring, and open women’s golf group, here in North Texas. I invite others to be co-organizers as well in an effort to have more and more fun opportunities to connect and play!! Please let me know if you want to be a host……and thank you! I also appreciate any ideas or information on charity golf events or tournaments that our group can participate in, as I love to share our good fortune and enjoyment of the game for the goodwill of others! Please feel free to message me at any time. I look forward to meeting everyone, improving my game through more playtime, and laughing and enjoying everyone’s company on the course and off the course (there is always the 19th hole to congratulate and commiserate)! ;) Please note that the group is limited to women over the age of 18. \*\*\* Also, please note IF YOU NO-SHOW TO AN EVENT YOU MAY BE REMOVED FROM THIS GROUP ENTIRELY. If you can not make an event that you have signed up for you must notify the host and/or change your RSVP at least an 2 hours before the start of the event.\*\*\* Thank you.

Frisco. Food. Dance. Couples.

Frisco, TX

Frisco. Food. Dance. Couples.
This is a group for fun, positive couples (age 30s through 50s) who live in or near Frisco and are interested in socializing, dining out, partying, playing, dancing, fun adult games, open conversations, and making new friends. **About Us** We, Jennifer and Bob, are an open-minded, newlywed (July 2014) couple who recently moved to a new home in Frisco.  Jennifer is a 4th grade elementary school teacher and Bob works for a large Silicon Valley software company.  Jennifer has two children, a son 16 and a daughter 11, who both live with us.  Bob also has two children; a married son with two very small children who lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan and a married daughter who lives nearby in Flower Mound. Jennifer has lived in the greater Dallas area all her life and has a beautiful Texas accent to prove it.  Bob moved from the cold winters of Kalamazoo, Michigan to the sun and warmth of the Dallas area in 2011. On the weekends we enjoy going out to dinner, dancing, partying, playing, and having fun.  We occasionally attend sporting events (we're Cowboys season ticket holders), music concerts (recent ones include Katy Perry, George Strait, Pink, Jimmy Buffet, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Coldplay, Steely Dan, and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra), opera, and Broadway shows. **About You** We are looking for fun, positive, like-minded professional couples (age 30s through 50s) with similar interests who are also seeking to make new friends to join our group.  And even though Frisco is in the group name, anyone from our surrounding communities (e.g., McKinney, Plano, Allen, Prosper, Grapevine, Carrollton, The Colony, Addison, and Dallas) is welcome to join. Our hope is for this group to serve as a spring board for both you and us toward making new friends. **Meetup Events** We plan to host one event every three to four weeks on either a Friday or Saturday evening.   Each event will typically include cocktails and dinner at a fun restaurant in the area followed by dancing (for those interested) to the music of the 70s through today at a nearby nightclub. Additional event ideas we will pursue include ... (1) attending major (or minor) league sporting events, comedy clubs, or concerts, (2) Sunday brunch, (3) inviting members of the group to our home for drinks, BBQ, pool (billiards), and naughty adult games, (4) organized participation in a local charity or social event, and (5) celebrating New Years' Eve at the Dallas Inter-Continental Hotel with the Emerald City Band and several hundred other revelers (this past 2015 NYE was our fourth year in a row at this very fun evening). We will additionally welcome other group members to provide their own ideas for events as well. Our favorite restaurants in the area include Artin's, Perry's Steakhouse, Capital Grille, Jaspers, Seasons 52, Gloria's, Kenny's Burger Joint, Gordon Biersch, Roy's, Del Frisco's Grille, Stampede 66, Macaroni Grill, Carrabba's, PF Changs, Best Thai, and Henry's Tavern.  Our favorite nightclubs for drinking & dancing include Grover's Grill, Samba 360, Blue Martini, and Glass Cactus. **You Are Encouraged To Join The Group & Attend Our Events** If you think you would be a good fit for our group and the description of the group and our activities interests you, we encourage you to join and make this your group.  Before being approved as a group member we request you (1) have a current photo posted in your profile and (2) respond to five simple questions about yourselves and your mutual interests. **Fees** You will **not** be required to pay any dues or fees to join this group. Our only request is you pay your own way for drinks, meals, tickets, and other venue/event fees. **RSVP Rules** We request members to observe the following two rules regarding meetup events. > (1) Please don't RSVP "Yes" if it's unlikely you will be able to attend. > (2) Please don't cancel at the last minute without a reason. > **Fun Times Ahead** > Should you decide to join, we look forward to many fun times together. > > > Bob & Jennifer

Greater Social Life Union of Frisco

Frisco, TX

Greater Social Life Union of Frisco

The Thumoslang Network is an association of groups whose members use Thumoslang, the nomenclature for social clarity, as their basic strategy for greater social life. Part of the network is the Greater Social Life Union (GSLU). Its mission is long-lasting joy for its members through faster actualization of their personal ideals.

There are many steps on your journey to greater social life. Here are the first steps for members of GSLU. After reading the rest of this introduction, you should read the 2021 book The Guide to Thumoslang. Many of our members put this new knowledge into practice as suggested by The GSLU Handbook.

When you spend more time in damage control mode and less time benefiting from your various relations, you waste a great deal of effort in your social life. Such a cost of opportunity keeps you from going at high speed towards your ideals, in creating your ideal self, and in actualizing what you truly want to become. This is likely due to a lack of social clarity, which is essential for internal conversations and vital for meaningful relationships.

Unintentionally created in 2017, accidentally discovered in 2018, and first taught in 2019, Thumoslang is the nomenclature for social clarity. It is used as a language for faster communication, be it in complex collaboration or difficult conversation. The first widespread use of social clarity has been predicted by Thumoslang pioneers to be just as important as the first widespread control of fire. All is explained by The Guide to Thumoslang, which is backed by The Dictionary of Thumoslang.

Again, the Thumoslang Network is an association of groups whose members use Thumoslang, the nomenclature for social clarity, as their basic strategy for greater social life. Part of the network is the Greater Social Life Union (GSLU). Its mission is long-lasting joy for its members through faster actualization of their personal ideals.

Your ideals are the same as your ideal self, which means what you truly want to become. "Everything else is secondary," said Steve Jobs. Our group activities involve you with the first practical steps in the further development of your ideals, in keeping others from interfering with your life, and in building a group of in-person friends who keep on encouraging you and nurturing your ideals. To be sure, if you lack social clarity in your internal conversations, face unwanted drama too often, are not sure of your social life or your path into the future, or have no friends and no groups available on a regular basis to help create your ideal self, this group is for you.

*** MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS ***

Our group activities bring you the following benefits:

Benefit 1 - Mastery of Relationships

As new GSLU members participate in the union's activities, they will quickly find themselves having noticeable enhancements in their social lives. The further they participate in GSLU activities, the faster they naturally acquire the mastery of relationships.

Benefit 2 - Best Friends for Your Ideals

Our group activities include practical steps in building a group of in-person friends who keep on encouraging you and nurturing your ideals.

Benefit 3 - Internal Dialogues More Effective

Thumoslang is a set of terminology whose use is intended to benefit one's clarity in social situations. Consequently, Thumoslang allows you to have clearer communication with yourself in your mind.

Benefit 4 - Meaningful Relationships Much Stronger

Our members use Thumoslang to mend or strengthen their existing relationships, build new relations, and achieve greater social life.

Benefit 5 - Faster Actualization of Your Ideals

The actualization of your ideals goes faster when it regularly involves your best group, which is the small group of in-person, second-mind friends who are the best for the nurturing of your ideals. Our activities help you speed up the actualization of your ideals by reducing social roadblocks and increasing social shortcuts in your life.
