EMPTY NESTERS - Women of Tarrant County

Fort Worth, TX

EMPTY NESTERS - Women of Tarrant County
If you're a woman whose children are "all grown up" (even though they never really grow up), and you're in need of some new friends, this could be the group for you! Although there is no age limit and you don't have to be an empty nester, this is mainly for **women ages 50+** who are looking for some new friends to kick back with and and have some fun. Some of us are single; some are married. Some have children; some don't; some even have children still living at home.  **Please note that most of our activities occur in northern Tarrant County (the area bounded by highways 35W/114/121/183/820)**.  We occasionally go outside this area but not often. If you're considering joining our group, but you want to know what kinds of activities we do before you join.... some of our activities include game nights in our homes, dinners out, craft afternoons, theater and movies, shopping, community events, travel (cruises, guided tours, weekends away), and we've even gone boating, fishing, and camping! We're a group of every-day women who like a variety of activities. We schedule events on weekends, week nights, and once in a while, daytime during the week. Members are encouraged to suggest activities. Once you're a member, click on the "Calendar" tab (right above the featured meetup). Look through our calendar, and see if any of our upcoming events appeal to you! This group can be whatever we want to make of it. Give me your ideas for some meetups! Let's have some fun, and while we're doing that, let's make some forever-lasting friends! "Life was meant to be lived, and curiosity must be kept alive. One must never, for whatever reason, turn his back on life." -- Eleanor Roosevelt **NOW, FOR A FEW GUIDELINES:** 1. We use the picture on your profile as a way of identifying you . We require a picture where we can see your face well enough to recognize you. You can have different pictures for different meetups, and ours is private, so only members will see you picture. Also, please use your real name (first name or first name and last name initial are fine) as your member name, otherwise we won't know what to call you. 2. Please RSVP for events. If you do not RSVP, you will be considered a "No." Additionally, if you RSVP that you will attend an event, please honor that commitment. Don't be a "no-show." If you are a no-show three times in a six-month period, you will be removed from the group. 3. We are interested in maintaining an active membership. If you do not attend at least one meetup per six month period (Jan-June, July-December), you will be removed from the group. 4. WITHIN ONE MONTH OF JOINING, please pay your meetup membership dues ($5/year). You may pay through PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle (instructions are under the Discussion section on the Empty Nesters website). 5. This is not a networking club. Promoting your business on our site or at meetups is not permitted. 6. We will occasionally have co-ed or family-friendly events, but typically our events are for women only. 7. The organizers reserve the right to terminate any membership at any time. Thanks!

Girlfriends of Mid-Cities/Keller/Southlake/NFW Reboot

Keller, TX

Girlfriends of Mid-Cities/Keller/Southlake/NFW Reboot
Since 2009, the Girlfriends of Mid-Cities has been providing local women the opportunity to meet others with similar interests and build friendships!  Whether you enjoy movies, dining, cards, games, crafts, or clubs, there is an activity out there for you.  We are adult women of all ages, both married and single, with or without children. We have so many upcoming events to choose from, join today. We hope to see you soon! Group Guidelines: This is a very casual group. We do not have a lot of rules for membership, but a handful are provided below. * • Our events are 'kid-free' unless specifically invited.  Moms need "me time" too! • Keep events social - not salesy. (see more below) • Be respectful of other members. • If there is an event you want to see on the calendar, consider hosting it! • If you RSVP for an event and can't make it, please let the organizer know and change your RSVP. • Be aware of the refund policy for any event that requires prepayment. • Know and respect your personal limits - whether related to physical activity, alcohol consumption or anything else.  We are all responsible adults and are expected to behave as such. (A gentle note about how we approach sales with the Girlfriends:  The Girlfriends of Mid-Cities is a social group and our goal is to develop friendships. We do not hold networking parties, sales parties or engage in sales-y activities at our events. So the question comes up occasionally “If I have a business, can I sell to other members of Girlfriends?” The answer is a qualified “Yes”.  Remember that most Girlfriends are not coming to an event to hear a sales pitch. So start by making friends first - that's why you are joining, right? The fact that you have a business will naturally come out of the connections you make and conversations you have with your new friends. Those girlfriends who are interested in what your business offers will let you know.  If you are unsure about anything related to promoting a business, it is always best to ask the organizer of the event first. )

Eckhart Tolle/Spiritual Community

Roanoke, TX

Eckhart Tolle/Spiritual Community
A true and authentic community where you matter and you belong regardless of your background, beliefs, or challenges. Are you struggling in life, trying to understand your purpose, tired, anxious, or worried about what's next? Or, are you really clear that you are over it all but not sure how to get where you can be at peace and enjoy where you already are at in life? As we do this practice together, you will raise your own awareness, and as a result, impact the collective consciousness on this planet. If you want to be seen, heard and felt in a way that leaves you feeling transformed and ready to take on whatever arises next in your world, then you will want to join these meetings each week. We meet once a week & listen to a spiritual teacher (most often Eckhart Tolle) with some time for silence/stillness. Meetings are simultaneously both in zoom and in person. Looking forward to you joining this tribe! (FYI - there is no cost to attend) About Darla: My own awakening journey started during a time in my life when I was completely disassociated with myself. I had a person close to me dealing with addiction who later overdosed, a partner dealing with major business legal issues. I was pregnant, we moved homes and my dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer. I was suffering a lot, feeling helpless and overwhelmed. I was living a life disconnected from my true self and disconnected from the people around me. After reading the book [“Chasing Daylight” by Eugene O’Kelly](https://www.amazon.com/Chasing-Daylight-Forthcoming-Death-Transformed/dp/0071499938/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2W6ZJXXNKI1WR&dchild=1&keywords=chasing+daylight&qid=1634739243&s=books&sprefix=chasing+dayli%2Cstripbooks-intl-ship%2C286&sr=1-1), I walked away with one single aha that I have since committed my life to: In every encounter, I am aware that I am doing what Eugene called “creating moments”. Being present with people. Telling them what they mean to me. NOW. Showing gratitude and most importantly creating impact in every single encounter. This was just the beginning of my lifelong mission. My deepest purpose is to partner with people on deep awakening journeys to get to the depths of their very being, uncovering the truth of who they are in this world.  At the end of this journey, they are in conscious alignment with the possibility of who they are; without the stories of the past, instead, living their future in this moment, right now. As a Certified Co-Active and Professional Coach, I have successfully helped hundreds achieve the next level of their journey in relationships, business and spiritually. What began in 2010 with me consciously leaving my ten year career in corporate America for a sabbatical, eventually manifested into my own coaching business, Darla Beam Spiritual & Life Coaching. Today, I’m blessed to help people all over the world through my Workshops, [Masterminds](https://www.darlabeam.com/mastermind-groups), [Speaking Engagements](https://www.darlabeam.com/speaking), and [1:1 Coaching](https://www.darlabeam.com/awakening-journeys). In my work as a spiritual guide & life coach, I guide individuals, groups, and teams from all walks of life to discover their inner and outer purpose and to create exponentially from it. From professionals, entrepreneurs, executives, and boards to spiritual seekers, coaches and parents. My background in corporate America and experience as a coach have given me a unique toolset to resolve conflicts and achieve significant breakthroughs by combining my tactical skills with empathy, intuition, and acceptance. I help individuals and groups achieve the unachievable by awakening their inner leader, identifying & removing blocks, sharing how to lead from the future, and actualizing their dreams. Clients who have worked with me were able to overcome old patterns, heal and cultivate their relationships, become the leader of their life, find fulfillment, and are now living their dream life. I’m a strong believer in personal connections and the power within each of us. My desire is to impact the individual on a profound level and ignite change in our communities and ultimately our world - the collective. While my coaching work involves helping humans, I also have a strong passion for nature and animals and their well-being.

Savvy Seniors

Hurst, TX

Savvy Seniors
We are a spirited, friendly and welcoming group of members over 55-ish. We meet up in and around Hurst, Euless, Bedford and some Fort Worth areas. There could be an occasional road trip. Most of our members live in the HEB and surrounding areas. We are not a dating site, but an opportunity to make new friendships, enjoy social time, meet others, and do fun things together. Our events include dinners, live theater, concerts, museums, educational events, and a variety of different and fun activities. BASIC GUIDELINES • For safety reasons, your profile must have an easily identifiable picture of yourself. Please be sure your profile picture is a close-up picture of you so we can recognize and greet you when you come to our events. It should be only of you and not a group photo. Requests to join without a compliant profile photo of yourself will be declined, and please do not hide under hats or behind sunglasses. Here are instructions for updating your profile photo: [https://help.meetup.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002878591-Changing-or-removing-a-profile-photo](https://help.meetup.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002878591-Changing-or-removing-a-profile-photo?_ga=2.73144853.745794859.1641356504-1923679009.1600014369) Please use your given name, doesn't have to be your full name, just your first name is sufficient, but please, no alias’. If you RSVP that you will attend an event, please honor that commitment. Keep your RSVP current and up to date. A "no-show” is disrespectful, rude and frustrates everyone. No one likes to be stood up. If you have 3 no-shows in a 6 month period you will be removed from this group. If you are inactive for more than 6 months you could be removed from the group.
