A group for people who like exploring central texas lakes and rivers together. Outings consist of a planned daytrip of kayaking, canoeing, or paddleboarding on a lake or river in Central Texas. Fishing is welcomed but the trips are also great for people who just want to explore nature and get outdoors. We pick routes that we know are fun so you'll have a great time without having to do the research, and we provide help with all the logistics to make trips easy. You provide your kayak, canoe, or paddleboard and a PFD.

Along these lines, this meetup is a great way to meet new people. No experience necessary. All skill levels welcome. \ We usually meet twice week, once at Mesa Rim and once at ABP Springdale. We also do outdoor excursions regularly, but our “official” events take place indoors because it's a lot simpler from a logistical perspective. After each session we sometimes also grab food and drinks at the nearby Friends and Allies Brewing Pub or Eastciders. \ This meetup is a collaborative, fun and chill environment where people can get to know each other and help each other grow as climbers. If you have been climbing for several years, great, come on in. If not, that's fine too. We are more than willing to show beginners the ropes.

This group is for active Texans who are 45+ and enjoy getting together with other active adults for interesting and entertaining events which reflect our positive lifestyles. We get together for fun adventures, socializing, dancing, playing sports, and engaging in intellectual pursuits. Some examples of our regularly scheduled events are dancing to live bands, playing sports like tennis, pickleball, and volleyball, happy hours, house parties, and intellectual games and activities. Active Texas Lifestyle (ATL) events are predominantly in the North Austin area including Round Rock, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Leander, Georgetown, and the Lake Travis area. Membership is open to singles and couples. Living an Active Texas Lifestyle is a requirement for membership and membership is intentionally limited to a small group (<200) of active participants. What is a **Nature Nerd** anyway? A Nature Nerd is someone who wants *field based or hands-on experiences* (e.g. hikes, citizen science, etc.), but is also interested in the *current scientific research* (i.e. astronomy, biology, ecology, physics, etc.). Anyone who wants to share what they know and what they are learning is included. **Anyone is welcome and encouraged to join regardless of skill level, ability, or location!** **Our basic expectation of behavior from everyone is "Be Considerate!'** The outdoor activities we schedule range from the Austin area, across all of Texas, and to other states. Hikes, observational activities (e.g. birding or astronomy), service/restoration/remediation projects with other groups (e.g Sierra Club), kayaking, and climbing are some examples. This includes more challenging back-country excursions with increased costs and skill requirements. **If you have an idea for an activity or would like to participate as an event leader please contact any of the organizers.** "Men and women wanted for hazardous journey.
