If you enjoy meeting new people and getting to know them while your hiking, biking, walking or some other activity where you instantly share common interests, this is the group for you. My approach is basically to bring people together while being active and enjoying the great outdoors.
This is a great group to make new friends, activity partners, meet local singles and most importantly, stay active in all four seasons. You do not have to be single to join. We welcome all couples looking to make friends. Anyone over 18 is welcome to join us.
I'm not a fan of events with large numbers of people. I like to keep my events small so we can enjoy the company and the experience.

Budo Active Meditation, Fitness, and Flexibility
Fairfax, VA
See a quick introduction video here: https://youtu.be/zjnIhLwnF7Y
Learn an active meditation method based in budo practices. This form of meditative exercise builds a strong “hara" which enhances focus, sensitivity, awareness, and creativity. It also relieves stress while building mental fitness--it helps with memory, focus, and calmness. Classes include stretching much like in a Yoga class, but they also include breathing and movement. Movement works the heart, improves cardiovascular fitness, coordination, endurance, flexibility, and strength. As an old master once said, "running water never goes stale." Finally, much of what is taught here is part of a self-defense system that's designed for real-world threats to our safety.
