Active Singles Over 60

Seattle, WA

Active Singles Over 60
Active, mature, single, Seattle-region people gathering for widely diverse activities. Among events our group may schedule are: park walks, museum visits, cultural and music festivals, meals and beverages at locally-owned businesses, picnics, concerts, talks, movies/theater performances, live music in parks, trivia nights, short lessons/workshops taught by members or others, hikes, kayaking/canoeing, sports events, regional road trips, and more. We strive to be inclusive, kind, and considerate to each other. Please ensure that you ask permission before taking photos of other members or posting them online. Please do not contact anyone you have not met and have not gotten to know first during group events for purposes other than brief communication for group activities. All potential and current members: Please include a recent photo of your own face (minus others in the pic) that is close enough for people to recognize your face. It really helps in recognizing people gathering in public locations. If it's an old pic we may miss each other. If you wish to upload or change the pic you submit or submitted in the past, please see these instructions: [https://help.meetup.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002878591-Changing-or-removing-a-profile-photo](https://help.meetup.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002878591-Changing-or-removing-a-profile-photo "https://help.meetup.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002878591-Changing-or-removing-a-profile-photo") If all potential members and members, would please go to Settings and enable [check off] messaging from organizers and members (who may also be leading activities as event hosts) it would help greatly in communications around gatherings. [Click on the down arrow beside your photo to begin, Settings, then Privacy.] Under the same category you can also choose to show your other Meetup groups or share your interests by checking "Show interests on profile." Your organizer cannot admit anyone to the group who does not at least enable communication with the organizer. Dues for yearly membership are a minimal $5, donated in person to the primary organizer, or alternatively by Fundraising through the Pledge system, plus a $.45 "tip"[the Pledge fee.] Without both your dues and participation this group cannot exist. It now costs nearly $200 every six months to simply pay the Meetup site to host the group, along with time spent researching and planning events. Any person without good reason to do so who no-shows twice (fails to go to an event to which they said yes for an RSVP without prior notice or post-event communication with the event organizer) may be removed from the group. It takes considerable time and effort to plan some events and it's simply an inconsiderate thing to do. Thank you. Your organizer and fellow group members look forward to meeting you soon! Seattle Travel Buddies & Activities Group

Seattle, WA

Seattle Travel Buddies & Activities Group
This group is for travelers who don’t want to wait on their friends to finally say “yes” to travel. Life is too short and the world is too big! The trips in this group are usually 90% solo travelers but everyone is welcome, female/male, solo/couple/friends, straight/LGBTQIA+! So let’s travel together with fun, like-minded travelers! If you have an open mind and are kind to fellow travelers, you will fit in perfectly on these trips! **The local events in this group are member-driven** so if you’d like to host a Meetup in your area (i.e. a brunch, happy hour, travel talk, coffee, movie, play, concert, hike, etc), feel free to let me know and I'll help you get it set up in the group! **NOTE:** The people on these trips are from all over the States but you’ll always be connected with people from the same city on a trip so you can meet up face to face and get to know your future travel buddies prior to the trip. You’ll also be connected to the whole group via email prior to the trip so you can virtually get to know those that are from different areas. On average, the people on each trip are 90% solo travelers but it’s hard to predict the exact demographic for each trip so please keep this in mind. Feel free to join the Facebook group to connect with past travelers on these trips, see pictures, ask questions, funny travel memes, travel-related articles, etc: [https://www.facebook.com/groups/613025845523107](https://www.facebook.com/groups/613025845523107) The trips in this group are put on by a tour company called Globe Drifters and they focus on small group trips geared towards solo travelers with the mission of giving new meaning to travel by putting the human experience at the heart of their trips. The groups are small, usually with 12 people maximum per trip and about 90% of everyone on each trip are solo travelers so you’re not stuck being the odd man out on trips with mostly couples. You’ll have the best of both worlds, solo travel with the security of a small group of other solo travelers for some company on your adventure! To contact Globe Drifters directly, you can email [info@globe-drifters.com](mailto:info@globe-drifters.com).
