Seattle Outdoor Adventurers (SOA)

Seattle, WA

Seattle Outdoor Adventurers (SOA)
SOA hikes everywhere from cities to mountains to deserts. We go backpacking, biking, and climbing; ski and snowshoe, kayak, sail and swim, and in many other ways celebrate nature and the great outdoors. While exploring the Pacific Northwest is thrilling and restorative, we care about our delicate environments and promote Leave-No-Trace principles and good trail etiquette. To better protect ourselves from injuries and other life-threatening conditions, all members should take safety and preparedness seriously, carry the Ten Essentials, and be self reliant. Check our calendar and join us on an upcoming adventure. We're eager to welcome new friends and hope to meet you in person soon.  Your Organizer, Michael Songbird DISCLAIMER: All activities hosted by Seattle Outdoor Adventurers (SOA) involve risk. **BEAM** Bellevue-Eastside Active Moms Group

Bellevue, WA

**BEAM** Bellevue-Eastside Active Moms Group

WELCOME TO BEAM!

BEAM is a fun loving group of moms of all types. Moms range from 20 to 50 years in age. Our kids range from gestating to around 6 with some members having older siblings. Most of the activities are centered on preschool children with siblings welcome. Our group is a mom’s only group. We don't allow grandparents, dads or nannies to join - but they are welcome to attend certain meetups.

What makes BEAM unique is we try to make connections from mom to mom to build a community and support network with you!

We are an active membership group, which allows members to build relationships by attending events on a regular basis. You will get out of the group what you put in; the more you attend, the larger your support network will be! We encourage you to build personal relationships and take them offline from the group, but hope you remain active with those same people at events in the group and also encourage you to host events if you are interested.

We have a large variety of events to offer. We usually have 3-7 events during the week (mostly weekdays with some on weekends) that include play dates at homes, parks, children’s museums, community centers, etc. We generally have 4-8 moms at meetups, with some larger at 10-12. This allows you to get to know other mom's more intimately than larger play groups. We also have mom nights out and in, bookclub, family events, educational workshops, charitable activites and other fun things that members like to host.

Take a look at our sample calendar here to see if our events may interest you or meet your schedule.

BEAM is free to join, with an optional donation. We do ask that you agree to the following guidelines below or your request will be denied. To keep things streamlined, we approve our members once a week so please note, depending on the day you apply, it may be 1 to 7 days before you hear from us.

Attend an event within 4 weeks of joining or reapply when you are ready to attend

Attend or host at least one event every two months

Post a current photo that shows your face so we may find you at events

Fill out a profile questionnaire and update it once a year

Be located on the Eastside of Seattle

You have read and reviewed our policies and practices for the group and will adhere to them as a member of the group

Seattle Christian Faith Network

Seattle, WA

Seattle Christian Faith Network
Seattle Active Faith Network Meetup - We are a group of interdenominational, mostly single Christians (Protestants, Catholics, and those with no church affiliation) who like fun and who serve people in our Greater Seattle area. We enjoy concerts, the arts, conversation, dancing, hiking, exploring, eating great food, horseback riding, you name it. And if we can impact our community for Christ, we look for those opportunities as well. Also one might say that we are a bit restless for service: to minister and provide encouragement to each other and to our community - to reflect Christ’s love, grace, compassion, and hospitality. "For Thou hast made us for Thyself and our hearts are restless till they rest in Thee."    \~ from St. Augustine’s “City of God” John W. – founder/organizer edited 09/17/2018 Legal Disclaimer and Liability Information: Participation in Seattle Active Faith Network Meetup group is at your own risk. Outdoor activities might be strenuous. This Meetup group and its organizer, co-organizers, assistant organizer, event organizers, and event hosts (the "Organizers") are not responsible for your safety. By becoming a member and signing up for events, you agree to release the Seattle Active Faith Network Meetup group and its Organizers from any responsibility, liability or claim in law or in equity. If you don't agree to these terms, do not join Meetup events offered by this group. Seattle Active Faith Network Meetup group of Meetup.com does not certify the expertise of the Organizers. The Organizers in this Meetup.com group are volunteers. You are responsible for yourself.  .

Asian 2100

Lynnwood, WA

Asian 2100
ASIAN 2100 in its core is a neighbor gathering meetup group.  People with Asian background come together to create great ideas.  Although when we were living in our own countries, our culture/history background seemed very far apart.  When we immigrated to America, our culture differences became insignificant compared to local Americans.  If you are not Asian in ethnicity, as long as you are truly interested in Asian cultures, you are welcome to join. My name is Luke, I grow up in Taipei and I speak English and Mandarin.  I earned my Bs and Ms Degrees in aerospace engineering from UCLA in 2002.  I have worked as an engineer for many years.  Currently, I am concentrating on investment. We will have outdoor activities every weekend, include but not limited to hiking, (beginner level) mountain climbing whenever weather is fair.  The idea is to come to the indoor meetup first and get to know each other before going out together. The idea of ASIAN 2100 is sit down together and fully express ourselves with great or not so great ideas.  When I was eight, I was told that Taiwan was not my home, my true home was in a village I have never heard of in the northern part of Mainland China.  Although this eccentric idea seemed unacceptable for most people in Taiwan, it is the truth and the only truth.  I later learned that Baze Malbus was born and grown up in the same village as my ancestors.  After all, great people came from the same place. Chinese culture, language and politics will be one of the recurring theme throughout our future meetups.  It is summer time, so free soft drinks will be provided to every meetup event.  Please just come with your good spirits and ready to freely express yourselves.  We hope you are interested to know us and also let us to know you.
