Cambridge Yin Yoga and Self-Care, Breathwork Meetup Group
This is a slow phase "Yin Yoga and Self Care Session" with lot of breathing, meditation, deep strecth and joint works. Aim is to develop body, mind and heart connection, creating deep relaxation, reducing strees and anxiety, cultivating self care and compasion. Yin Yoga is very effective for joint health, flexibility and mobility. It is great for well-being because it helps with releasing tension from body and mind. I have tailored this class as a self-care session by combining yin yoga, somatic practices, breathing, mindfulness and some visualisation practices. Each session is unique. You can try it and see if it works for you or not. Postures are held a bit longer anf all are on the floor, no standing postures involved. It is really therefore doable for most people. I highly recommend this one for those who are inflexible as wll as those who do a lot of active sports such as running, football, cycling, gym work etc, because it really helps with releasing tension from joints and muscles and provides deep stretch. It is a great one to do at home as this would bring more comfort and ease to your practice. Remember if you feel safe and comfortable your body would respond to it and open up much better. All levels are welcome, no experience is needed, just have some pillows and blankets with you and join the class. No yoga mat is needed. I look forward to seeing you soon. 5 a Side All Nations Football League Finsbury Park

5 a Side All Nations Football League Finsbury Park

I run 5 a side football leagues in Finsbury Park on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and we are currently looking for new teams/players to join us for our next season in January 2022. The league has been running in the area for over a decade and is expanding once again due to the demand to play outdoor sport. We are always keen to have teams on board that represent all boroughs of North London.

I believe that the league is an excellent platform for players/teams to keep game awareness sharp and also gives you more of what every footballer needs - competition! We already have players and full teams from SAL, AFC as well as Barnet, Camden and Edmonton Sunday Leagues with us - lots of these sides use the league as a training opportunity as they cannot attain that with their club, others as a fitness boost

We currently have two divisions on each night with 8 sides in each, so there is guaranteed to be a standard to suit any player. The league also differentiates itself from other options in London as we always work with the players/teams to ensure that all teams can attain help to fit their needs. Whether that be always kicking off early/late, help with kit or extra players - or even a last-minute cancellation - we will work with team captains and ensure that you never lose your time on the pitch, money from your pocket or points on the board.

The matches take place between 18:45pm - 21:30pm and are based on being highly competitive, having fun and providing a social element - both at the venue and at the pub after. We offer some of the most competitive rates in London, starting at £45 per team per week/£6 a match per player.

The location is a 5-minute walk from Finsbury Park station; which is an excellent transport hub of North London - on the Piccadilly and Victoria tube lines, as well as being a National Rail station servicing Thameslink and Great Northern. We are also a short walk from Crouch Hill (overground) as well as multiple bus routes (FP bus terminus 5 min walk).
If this is of any interest to you or your team, I would love to hear from you.
