We are Gloucestershire’s one and only Korfball club! 🦁 You’re probably thinking, ‘what on earth is korfball?’, please let us explain. Korfball is a mixed gender team sport, meaning men and women play on the same team (4 males and 4 females). It is very similar to both basketball and netball and the aim is to score more goals through the 3.5 metre high hoop (aka ‘korf’) than your opponents. 🏀 Looking to try something new? Korfball is a great way to keep fit in a light hearted environment, we also enjoy a post Korfball social at the pub! 🍻 The sport is easy to pick up and we welcome players of all abilities. We look forward to welcoming you at one of our sessions!

Every Wednesday at leisure at Cheltenham 7pm. We play the wonderful sport of Underwater rugby, alway welcoming new players at all ages over 18. We are a really friendly bunch, we train every Wednesday in the pool normally followed by a trip to the pub. We also tend to go to international tournaments 2 / 3 times a year.

This group is for Internationals living in Cheltenham & surrounding areas & for those who have returned to the area from living abroad/extensive traveling.  It's for people who wish for more than just eating out & drinking. We offer numerous activities such as exploring the surrounding areas, including towns, cities, & places of interest & natural beauty belonging to the National Trust. We'll also visit museums, theatre, movies, sports events, the many local Festivals & other activities. Prospective members must complete the profile questions & submit a recent photo to be considered for membership. Membership fees are £5 every 6 months. Welcome to the Cheltenham 7 a side football page, which aims to hold friendly and weekly 7 a side matches each week for all abilities so that you can get your overdue football fix post lockdown!. Last year, a friendly bunch turned up in good numbers each week, so hopefully more of the same this year! We paused temporarily due to COVID, however with outdoor sport soon to restart, we are firing up the group again and currently looking for venues at which to play. The usual method is pay as you go for each person (roughly £5pp) to cover pitch hire/equipment etc; all gear such as footballs, bibs provided each time. Welcome to Cotswold Adventures Outdoors. Over the past 6 months, this group has grown and developed into what it is now—previously known as North Gloucestershire and Severn Solo Adventurers. The core members feel that the name needs to represent the group and not be so confusing. The group's aim is to provide friendship and community, whilst having fun outdoors. Activities will include, Hiking and Walking, Standup Paddleboarding, Pub Meets, Camping Trips, comedy nights, and more... In 2024 my life had a dramatic change, I began a journey of doing more of what makes me happy. So I started this group, with the aim of doing more activities, and if individuals wanted to join me, then that is great, if not I'd still be having fun. All that is left for me to say is welcome to the group and I look forward to meeting you. **Below are some basic housekeeping group rules that you agree to by being part of this meet group. Should not need to mention these, so far everyone has been lovely and respectful, let us keep it that way.** 1. Members must have a current **headshot**. Those who become members have 48 hours to update their picture for the group. 2. Members must have a **given name**. Not their hobby, job, etc. 3. The group has a **3-strike rule** within **6 months.** A "no show" to an open event is 1 strike. A no-show to a numbered event is 2 strikes. 4. Please ensure you are fit and well enough to complete the duration of the hike\. 5\. In wet weather\, waterproofs are recommended **Standup Paddle Boarding** 1\. Please ensure you have a Personal Floatation Device or **Buoyancy Aid**. 2\. All paddlers are recommended to have a **quick-release waste strap** for fast flowing water. 3\. Please bring with you a **change of clothes**. 4. **Shoes** are recommended for paddling as rivers and banks can have **sharp objects** even **needles** occasionally. 5\. Recomend the use of a **dry bag** for your possessions. 6. **A helmet** is required when SUPing on dangerous fast-flowing shallow rivers with rocks 7\. In colder months **wetsuit**, **thermal wet gear,** and layers are highly recommended

The purpose of this group is to inspire and evoke higher level thinking of Performance orientated individuals. **Who is it for?** This is specifically for people seeking high performance in business and careers, sports and athletics, and financially. There is no charge for membership, just a commitment to succeed and step into Flow through High Performance. **How is it run?** **Grant Hamel** a highly qualified, therapist and business/executive coach facilitates the sessions and brings in guest speakers to make it inspirational and engaging. It is **affiliated with High Performance People Ltd** based in the UK which conducts Personal Profile Assessments enhancing performance through measuring behavioural patterns.

The novices club is a club for people with little or no experience in Pickleball. We are currently seeing a high level of interest and are operating a waitlist to join. All prospective members who are new or newish to the game must complete an introduction session whereby we go through the basic rules, strokes and positioning for an hour and then play for an hour. This session costs £9 to include paddle hire. These are usually at the weekend and subject to our and court availability. If you are an experienced player i.e. been playing regularly at another club for at least 6 months you may not need to attend the introduction session. Once this is complete you would be added to the waitlist. All events will take place in Thornbury so people from this locality or its surroundings will be given preference. All ages welcome (over 18's).  No experience necessary as we offer tuition re the rules and how to play. It is easy to pick up the basics.  We welcome players of all abilities. Sessions are £5.50 per two hour session for members and £7.50 for non-members for evening and weekend sessions.  £4.50 per two hour session for members and £5.50 per two hour session to non members for off peak sessions (daytime). Paddles are available for hire at £1 per session from the club.  Balls are provided. By joining this Meetup group you are not actually joining the Thornbury Pickleball Club to do that you need to attend a number of sessions, complete a membership form and pay a fee - this is subject to availability of spaces at the club Please ensure you wear sports kit with non marking shoes. If you cant come after booking please send us a private message to advise us and remove yourself from the event. If you cancel within 48 hours of the event you will be expected to still pay as we have comitted to the courts by then and uneven numbers reduces the value of the event for others. We are a friendly bunch and we hope you will try out this new sport which is a lot of fun.
