Welcome to Rammy Mountain Bikers! We meet regularly and offer a variety of rides to suit all abilities. From beginner cross country rides to more adventurous challenging off road rides. Our aim is to provide a friendly and supportive atmosphere in which to enjoy our sport, with all the benefits of riding in a social group. As well as regular rides, we also arrange days out to Trail centres, weekend trips away in the UK as well as overseas. We welcome new members to join us but please be aware our ride leaders are not instructors and do not hold any formal qualifications. We will always help and support each other when needed, and will never leave a group member behind, but all riders must accept that mountain biking is a dangerous sport, and that individual riders are responsible for their own safety. Rides will each have one or more designated hosts, who will be familiar with the route. Hello and thanks for passing by and checking out our meet-up group. Let us introduce ourselves, we are Mark and Lorraine, founders of RVSP, the Ribble Valley Social Pursuits Meet Up Group. We are both keen walkers but also enjoy running, cycling, climbing, skiing and playing football, tennis, badminton and the odd swim. We also enjoy a bit of fun with good food, the odd drink, a bit of culture and most importantly, meeting new people like you. We aim to be a social group hosting a variety of activities both outdoors and indoors for people in their 30’s and 40’s and 50s in and around the Ribble Valley, Trough of Bowland and West Pennine Moors area. We will also venture out further afield to the Lakes, Dales, Snowdonia and Peak District from time to time. As well as doing a variety of sporting activities, we also aim to relax and do a wide range of social events from nights out to sightseeing trips. We also want your input so if you have any suggestions then we’ll be really happy to hear from you. As we have to pay for using the meet-up facility, we will charge a small rate of £1 per person to anyone who wishes to join any of our events, with many of our socials free to attend. Free bi-weekly event - Inside Plug and Taps Enjoy getting a drink, sitting with like-minded people, and splitting into teams. We discuss three big questions within an hour surrounding different insightful topics. Then we re-group and discuss the ideas together. Topics change each session. We are a group for males interested in naturism who would like to socialise with other naked men. Our aim is to hold events in the area from  Manchester up to the Lancashire/Cumbria border.,and as far as Derbyshire. We hold social evenings in members homes and other venues. There is also a naturist swim at Levenshulme Acadia Sports Centre, Yew Tree Avenue, M19 3PH every Thursday evening 7.00pm until 8.30 pm, at a cost of £5.00. On any one evening the numbers of swimmers are limited to 30 so admission will be on a first come first served basis and late comers may not be admitted if there are already 30 attenders.  **New members must show a photo when they join,** but please remember that this is a naturist group and photos must not show semi ,or full erections. and please no photographs concentrating,on the genitals alone ,these are deemed inappropriate.The photo is to identify you when attending events. We are a casual gaming group which means we do not require members to turn up every week to keep their place in the club. We meet every Wednesday evening (7PM to 11PM) in the function room of The Kings Head in Warrington, to play board games, chat and socialise. The function room is located via the double doors in the left-hand corner at the rear of the pub. **As modern board gamers we're often asked  'what type of games do we play' - you won't find monopoly, scrabble etc being played as these are “traditional” boardgames. We play “hobby” boardgames, a good starting point would be to check out TableTop on YouTube. It's an online TV show that gives a great overview of the types of games we play at the club.** Take a look at the comments section for an upcoming Wednesday, and you'll see the games available to play. If you see something you fancy, comment on it to let the game host know you want join the game. Alternatively you can turn up on the night to see what games are on offer, but availability will vary and sometimes there may not be any open spaces left. You are also more than welcome to bring your own games along and post them up on the comments section specifying how many open spots you have for people to join as this helps members to track when a game has become full. Hi and welcome to the Lancashire metal detecting group. I'm Michael, and originally from Lancashire, Burscough I decided to start up a metal detecting group, as I've always had an interest in anything old with history to it. I started the hobby a couple of years ago, so I'm fairly new to detecting and it would be great to find like minded people who have the same interest. When started I purchased the Simplex detector and headed to the beach after work. Unfortunately for me I had my steel toe cap boots on and almost dug up most of the beach. :D A lesson learnt , don't make the same mistake! This is a group for anyone interested in metal detecting, outdoor activities, exploring and living life to the fullest. There are no charges for joining the group, and no charge for the attending. Our English Language Lab is designed for pre-intermediate/ intermediate and pre-advanced students, who wish to develop their communication skills in a small group, practising English in a dynamic but relaxing and friendly way.

These sessions will help you gain more vocabulary, improve your fluency and confidence and use your skills effectively in real-life situations. They are structured around:
- conversation about everyday topics such as sports, arts, lifestyle choices, hobbies, global issues etc.
- improving pronunciation
- improving intonation
- increasing fluency
- enriching vocabulary
- correcting common grammar/syntax mistakes
- paired activities (mini scenarios, games) 

Public sessions are led by a Kristina, a QTS UK qualified school teacher and modern languages tutor, who has been working as a teacher in local schools, adult education colleges and as a private tutor for over 15 years. Private sessions are taught by language tutors, native or native-like speakers, who are university graduates and professional school teachers.

All international students or professionals are welcome.

Currently, the venue for the group will be [Rock Over Climbing](http://www.rockoverclimbing.co.uk/) **in Manchester**, one of the North West's premier world class bouldering centres. The reason for this is that it's central to Manchester so highly accessible for all members, it provides excellent climbing routes for all levels and we have established an excellent relationship with the staff who work there. At each Meetup, we will introduce ourselves, and make sure you feel welcome and at ease, especially if this is your first time climbing! **Beginners are usually split up into small groups and assigned to an experienced climber to ensure that we maximise climb time for your first time.** We usually climb for two hours, although if there is a large amount of us, we will more than likely split into smaller groups and spread out across the centre, so that we all get a good amount of climbing time. Once beginners are comfortable with what they have learnt, it is expected that you will progress to climb with our more experienced members. However, members are never forced to climb with a particular group and are always welcome to remain with beginners until they feel comfortable to move on. **After the climb, we often go for a post-climb meal and/or drink** depending on who is available, and this provides everyone with a great opportunity to discuss the routes they've done with other climbers, as well as socialise in an informal setting. We encourage ALL new members to attend this if they can as it gives you an excellent opportunity to get to know more of our members in a social setting and provides a familiar face the next time you attend. **Prices for first time climbers at Rock Over are £13 plus £3 shoe hire for a total cost of £16. This is a group to bring together solo travellers from all over UK (and beyond) who want good company for their ski holidays. Many of our members are single but others have partners at home who do not ski. We usually have about 8 ski holidays , we aim to have a minimum of 30 guests on each trip but the maximum in Courchevel is always higher , that way you can always find ski buddies of your ability and apres buddies too! . Some holidays include lessons whilst others are guided & some have neither so you can choose the holiday that suits you best no matter what your ski ability is.

We also have summer beach club holidays including all water sports plus mountain biking tennis etc usually in June & September
