St Helens Makers is a place for the tinkerers, artists, creatives, crafters, and techies within the St Helens area to meet and discuss their projects with like-minded people. We'll hold regular events online and within St Helens. The aim is to eventually have a physical makerspace within St Helens that provides facilities for people to work on projects, share ideas, and utilise tools and equipment that they may not be otherwise able to access. Whether you’re a seasoned professional, a beginner, or just curious to find a new hobby, there is something for everyone.

Hi, this is a group for anyone who likes photography and would like to get together with other photographers, of any level, to talk and take some pics. My aim is to build a group where members can inspire and learn from each other, with the more experienced photographers passing on some of their knowledge to those newer to the hobby. I have been a photographer for many, many years and enjoy passing on my experience to others of all levels. So, if you are a beginner and looking to understand all the features of your camera, or just someone wanting to hang out with other photographers and pick up a few tips and ideas, this is the group for you. I am not offering planned workshops, I want to be taking my own pictures at meetups, but rather I am happy to help out with your questions and give advice and suggestions, if you need it. I am based in Southport but travel around a fair bit to shoot. I see that the group has members from a quite wide area, so I will try and organise events that include those some distance away. Many events will be based simply on my desire to shoot somewhere and inviting others to join me. Some events may be weather dependent, photography is a hobby where weather can be important so it may sometimes be necessary to cancel, or change, an event.

Free bi-weekly event - Inside Plug and Taps Enjoy getting a drink, sitting with like-minded people, and splitting into teams. We discuss three big questions within an hour surrounding different insightful topics. Then we re-group and discuss the ideas together. Topics change each session. Doesn’t require any previous knowledge of philosophy. Any and all people and opinions welcome. Official time is from 7pm-9pm but all are welcome to stay longer. Hello and thanks for passing by and checking out our meet-up group. Let us introduce ourselves, we are Mark and Lorraine, founders of RVSP, the Ribble Valley Social Pursuits Meet Up Group. We are both keen walkers but also enjoy running, cycling, climbing, skiing and playing football, tennis, badminton and the odd swim. We also enjoy a bit of fun with good food, the odd drink, a bit of culture and most importantly, meeting new people like you. We aim to be a social group hosting a variety of activities both outdoors and indoors for people in their 30’s and 40’s and 50s in and around the Ribble Valley, Trough of Bowland and West Pennine Moors area. We will also venture out further afield to the Lakes, Dales, Snowdonia and Peak District from time to time. As well as doing a variety of sporting activities, we also aim to relax and do a wide range of social events from nights out to sightseeing trips. We also want your input so if you have any suggestions then we’ll be really happy to hear from you. As we have to pay for using the meet-up facility, we will charge a small rate of £1 per person to anyone who wishes to join any of our events, with many of our socials free to attend. Welcome to Rammy Mountain Bikers! We meet regularly and offer a variety of rides to suit all abilities. From beginner cross country rides to more adventurous challenging off road rides. Our aim is to provide a friendly and supportive atmosphere in which to enjoy our sport, with all the benefits of riding in a social group. As well as regular rides, we also arrange days out to Trail centres, weekend trips away in the UK as well as overseas. We welcome new members to join us but please be aware our ride leaders are not instructors and do not hold any formal qualifications. We will always help and support each other when needed, and will never leave a group member behind, but all riders must accept that mountain biking is a dangerous sport, and that individual riders are responsible for their own safety. Rammy Mountain Bikers, its organisers, hosts and leaders will not be held liable for any injury or loss incurred. Rides will each have one or more designated hosts, who will be familiar with the route. We are a group for males interested in naturism who would like to socialise with other naked men. Our aim is to hold events in the area from  Manchester up to the Lancashire/Cumbria border.,and as far as Derbyshire. We hold social evenings in members homes and other venues. There is also a naturist swim at Levenshulme Acadia Sports Centre, Yew Tree Avenue, M19 3PH every Thursday evening 7.00pm until 8.30 pm, at a cost of £5.00. On any one evening the numbers of swimmers are limited to 30 so admission will be on a first come first served basis and late comers may not be admitted if there are already 30 attenders.  **New members must show a photo when they join,** but please remember that this is a naturist group and photos must not show semi ,or full erections. and please no photographs concentrating,on the genitals alone ,these are deemed inappropriate.The photo is to identify you when attending events.
