Didcot Korfball Club are a mix-gender, 18+, sociable sports club! We play korfball which is similar to netball and basketball. We train every Tuesday, 8pm at Didcot Leisure Centre and also hold social events. We welcome anyone of all skill and experience levels to come along!

Regular weekly Tag Rugby Matches in Oxford at the Oxford Rugby Football and Cheney School Sports Field near South Park. The fun and friendly sessions are welcome for players 14 years or older (male & female). **All under 18 participants must be accompanied by a guardian.** Players of all sporting abilities and Rugby experience levels (Rugby League, Rugby Union, Touch Rugby etc) including complete Rugby novices are welcome! Tag Rugby is a great way to meet you new people, improve your fitness and mental wellbeing, but there is no need to be super fit to start playing. The sessions are a gentle introduction to the game and suitable for all levels of fitness. This group is about French learners who are looking for a new way to learn the language! We believe the best way to pick up and speak a second language confidently is through an immersive experience, and especially when it’s personalised around something you enjoy doing. The structure loosely follows A traditional book club, such that participants are encouraged to listen to or watch the content beforehand. However we also have a one page AI generated summary of the podcast transcript, which you may read upon arrival. Following an initial structured conversation, is an informal social space for discussion of any topic, networking,Politics sport technology etc. All are welcome to join. We meet the second Thursday of every month at a location to be announced ad hoc.

This group for anyone in the LGBTQ+ community whose identity includes woman. We’re a friendly bunch who like to get together and try new things and have a good natter with friends.  We are open to singles and couples who enjoy socialising and meeting other women. Hi guys, My friends and I run a social football group in oxford and are looking to add a few new players in the coming weeks/months. It’s amazing social football group based in oxford city that began 4 years ago via the Meetup app and is still going strong to this day. It is made up of around 10-20 different nationalities and a range of ages from 20s - 40s. We play: 8aside on a Monday evening - on 4G pitch, 8-9pm 5aside futsal on a Wednesday evening - indoor sports hall, 7.30-8.30pm 5aside futsal on a Sunday morning - indoor sports hall, 9am-10am The group would not be suitable for any beginner players, but anybody ranging from intermediate/used to play when they were younger to a few higher level players that are not looking to play competitively and just like the run out. I joined the group 3 years ago when I arrived in oxford and didn’t know a single person…. forward time and I now find myself helping to run the group and we currently have 49 members in it! As people come and go from Oxford for many reasons such as work, study and family, the group is ever changing and and has had 100s of players in the previous 4 years. Some people play for a few months, some stay around for years. Because the group is large, it allows people to dip in and out whenever they fancy a game, but also allows people to play every week if they choose to sign up (first come first serve). Along with the football side of things, we occasionally have socials for whoever fancies joining, be that a pub quiz, a curry night or a bbq in the summer. Again, not everyone joins as some people just want to play the football, whereas some people like the social aspect as well. Due to there being so many people in the group, there’s always lots of banter/convo (mostly regarding football/sport) in the group whatsap chat.. and once again, some people choose to speak socially in the whatsap, some just like to sign up for the football and then stick it on mute. The process works so well which is why we have had such success and managed to run the same group for so many years. Due to a few people recently leaving oxford and having changed circumstances (such as new born babies, different working hours, injuries etc)… and to ensure we get the next cycle moving… we are looking to find some new players to potentially join the group. The numbers fill up quite quickly each week but on an occasion whereby we need a player - I will make contact with you to see if you fancy a game… and we can go from there! The best thing about the group is the people in it - all working professionals with a range of backgrounds that is simply Oxford in a nutshell. Each week the teams are picked to make sure it’s fair and teams are mixed up, and although it is somewhat competitive by nature, we’re all friends and there’s no real competition, no hard tackles or ref etc…. just a great group of lads enjoying a medium competitive blow out on the football pitch where we can all catchup before during and after each match. A group for people under the age of 40 who want to undertake social activities which are either only possible or better as a group. 40 is not a rigid cap but is designed to show the kind of things this group is about and prevent it being dominated by an older generation like other social groups.

The plan is for this group to organise group social activities at least twice a month across both weekday evenings and weekends. The group will be a pay for what you participate in.
Please ensure you RSVP and pay for activities well in advance to allow things to be booked. Activities will NOT be booked until I receive sufficient funds from attendees. Please note a number of activities have minimum numbers and will be cancelled if this amount is not reached.

Meetups will be organised with sufficient notice to receive payment beforehand. Places will only be booked for those who have paid and no refunds offered unless someone else is willing to pay for the place.

Meetup charges for the running of such groups therefore in order to recoup these costs a small admin charge will be added to bookings however I hope to receive group discounts where possible. The price offered reflects this fee
