We are Gloucestershire’s one and only Korfball club! 🦁 You’re probably thinking, ‘what on earth is korfball?’, please let us explain. Korfball is a mixed gender team sport, meaning men and women play on the same team (4 males and 4 females). It is very similar to both basketball and netball and the aim is to score more goals through the 3.5 metre high hoop (aka ‘korf’) than your opponents. 🏀 Looking to try something new? Korfball is a great way to keep fit in a light hearted environment, we also enjoy a post Korfball social at the pub! 🍻 The sport is easy to pick up and we welcome players of all abilities. Every Wednesday at leisure at Cheltenham 7pm. We play the wonderful sport of Underwater rugby, alway welcoming new players at all ages over 18. We are a really friendly bunch, we train every Wednesday in the pool normally followed by a trip to the pub. We also tend to go to international tournaments 2 / 3 times a year.

Welcome to the Cheltenham 7 a side football page, which aims to hold friendly and weekly 7 a side matches each week for all abilities so that you can get your overdue football fix post lockdown!. Last year, a friendly bunch turned up in good numbers each week, so hopefully more of the same this year! We paused temporarily due to COVID, however with outdoor sport soon to restart, we are firing up the group again and currently looking for venues at which to play. The usual method is pay as you go for each person (roughly £5pp) to cover pitch hire/equipment etc; all gear such as footballs, bibs provided each time. We no longer use this app. Come join us as a guest at Martineau Badminton Club where we play social mixed-doubles badminton at a standard of intermediate to inter-club competition level – over 18's only. Sorry, we can’t accommodate beginners as we have no coaching available. As a club of friendly people, we also arrange other social activities. We play on Monday evenings (except Bank Holidays) between 8 pm and 10 pm in Smethwick. We hire three well-lit courts in a local sports hall; car parking is available. There is no league match play. Plastic shuttles are provided. Guests/prospective members should understand doubles play and be able to keep a rally going. To see if you enjoy playing with us, when attending through Meetup, you join us for a trial as a paying guest (£5 per evening for three sessions, and £10 thereafter). After three evenings if you want to join us as a member and your standard of play is similar to ours, you’ll be invited to join us formally. Members pay £50 per quarter (Jan-Mar, Apr-Jun, Jul-Sept, Oct-Dec) by bank standing order. Players normally arrive changed with own racket(s), please bring trainers with non-marking soles to protect the sports hall floor. If after playing you wish to use the changing room facilities and showers, please bear in mind that the sports centre closes at 10 pm sharp. All players abide by the club’s rules. Finally, this Meetup site is for guests only (wishing to join) as our regular members do not book on this event. As we need to keep numbers manageable, new Meetup guests will be accepted to play with in sequence as numbers allow.
