Personal Development in Chester

Personal Development in Chester

This Meetup is for anyone who is looking for a different, deeper conversation, one that goes beyond the surface of TV, celebrities, newspapers, sport etc. It’s for people who are interested in life design and understanding more about how we can be the best version of ourselves while still being happy with who we are. For me, I love asking questions that make me and others think… What is the purpose of my life? What makes us happy & how can we do/be/have more of that? What have you learned recently that’s changed how you think? What books and podcasts have you been reading/listening to? What’s your favourite quote? Are we being the best version of ourselves and if not what's stopping us? Can we help each other to help ourselves? <br>What about some fun, this is all a bit serious & deep. Let’s do something fun, meaningful, kind, different, positively scary! Anything but walking around asleep, lost, on autopilot. Let's inspire each other. <br>Let's create something that we wouldn't or couldn't do alone or do something like go for a walk as a group with great conversation, just because it feels so much better to do things together with people who share similar values. Not sure where this is going but I feel I could write a book. Why don't I? 😂 <br>I know what I just said will sound a bit too airy fairy to most but if you're still reading this far and this tugs on a few strings of curiosity or awakens something inside then join me for some... 'I don't know what'? Experimentation! Deep discussion? Half marathon?! Some volunteering? A walk in the mountains? A cup of tea with some thought provoking questions? Vision boards? – Yes I did say vision boards!! BUT followed up with a plan, some dates and accountability for those that want it! My reason for starting the group is just to connect with more likeminded people and make some new friends, hope to see you soon x

Wirral Wine and Walking
Congratulations on finding us! The group is focused on attending local events and activities with an emphasis on walks, dining out, concerts and plays. Also, experiences further afield will be included and members are asked to feel free to make suggestions and see who is interested. We have a policy that new members should not belong to more than 7 other social groups of any kind. We believe this ensures our group will have active members who not only value participating in our group & our events but also have an interest in contributing/maintaining the group’s development for the future. Who is Meetup? 21 years ago, Meetup began with the goal of helping people build community over shared passions. Today, Meetup is a platform in 5,000 cities, with more than 55 million members who meet each other at thousands of events happening every day. The world has changed, and so have we. Meetup’s rolled out new features to help you host events where you and your members will feel safe and comfortable. Easily indicate whether your event will be outdoors, have mask requirements, and more. Let’s make the next 21 years of Meetup even better—together. Warrington Board Games Club

Warrington, C5

Warrington Board Games Club
We are a casual gaming group which means we do not require members to turn up every week to keep their place in the club. We meet every Wednesday evening (7PM to 11PM) in the function room of The Kings Head in Warrington, to play board games, chat and socialise. The function room is located via the double doors in the left-hand corner at the rear of the pub. **As modern board gamers we're often asked  'what type of games do we play' - you won't find monopoly, scrabble etc being played as these are “traditional” boardgames. We play “hobby” boardgames, a good starting point would be to check out TableTop on YouTube. It's an online TV show that gives a great overview of the types of games we play at the club.** Take a look at the comments section for an upcoming Wednesday, and you'll see the games available to play. If you see something you fancy, comment on it to let the game host know you want join the game. Alternatively you can turn up on the night to see what games are on offer, but availability will vary and sometimes there may not be any open spaces left. You are also more than welcome to bring your own games along and post them up on the comments section specifying how many open spots you have for people to join as this helps members to track when a game has become full. If you're still unsure about what to play, message an organiser and we'll point you in the right direction, introduce you to other members, and answer any questions you may have. **Our rules are simple: To cover the use of the function room everyone must buy a drink from the bar, be responsible, respectful, and most importantly, have fun!** **Member fees to cover Meetup costs are £5 every six months, and are collected around April and September.** We hope to see you soon! -Andre, Craig, John & Scott (the organisers)
