Sonoran Desert Wheelers
ALWAYS AN ADVENTURE! \*\*\*This is a Virtual 4x4 Group\*\*\* The purpose of the group is to provide an organized forum for offroad adventure events, particularly for people with highway legal 4X4 off road vehicles. Most adventures require a bit of highway driving to get there, and many will be point-to-point, non-loop trails. Please consider this before you request to join because there are many other groups for SXSs and ATVs. We intend to schedule a run every other month, somewhere fairly close to Phoenix. There may be additional runs posted outside of the greater Phoenix area, as well as the possibility of overnight camping trips. It will all depend on how active each and every member becomes. Since this is a Virtual club, there are no real rules, however there are certain guidelines: 1\. When on the trail always remember to T\.R\.E\.A\.D\. Lightly \( [http://treadlightly.org/](http://treadlightly.org/) )! 2\. Don't drink and drive\. 3\. While taking part in one of our runs\, please\, do not engage in any type of target shooting\. Rules/Guideline: The Sonoran Desert Wheelers is a "Virtual" club. There is no President, VP, Treasurer or Secretary. The SDW is and most likely always will be only semi organized. This group will provide as much organization as there most likely ever will be. If organization is what you desire, we suggest you look at the Arizona State Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs web site [http://asa4wdc.org/](http://asa4wdc.org/) ... ( [http://asa4wdc.org/](http://asa4wdc.org/) ) and find an organized club that suits you. This does not mean that you cannot be a part of the SDW; anyone and everyone can belong. Trail Runs: By participating in trail runs planned through SDW, you are permitting the use of your name, nickname, and any photos taken of your person or vehicle during the run. Disclaimer & Assumption of Risk/Liability: The Sonoran Desert Wheelers (SDW), is a non-established, not for profit, nonofficial club. The SDW is simply a collaboration of individuals sharing a common interest. The SDW and its members cannot be held accountable for the actions of any member of the SDW. Off roading, like all sports, has inherent risks and dangers. All participants (on behalf of him or herself and his/her minor children) are responsible for their own safety during events, voluntarily accepts any and all risks of injury, harm, medical conditions, or property damage, assumes all liabilities, and waives any and all damages against SDW (including its organizers, hosts, and members). \*If you haven’t visited the group site in over a year you may be removed, but you can rejoin at any time.
