LA/OC Social Melting Pot

Anaheim, CA

LA/OC Social Melting Pot
This is a group for adults, primarily in the 20s-40s age range, who are interested in building a community of friends and acquaintances in this great multicultural melting pot of Los Angeles and Orange County. A “melting pot” is a metaphor for a society where many different types of people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds coexist. So whether you’re new to the area, a long-time transplant, or you’ve lived here your whole life, come join us for an endless array of activities that include exploring locales, enjoying good food (a must!), playing board games, trying new hobbies and more! **Please note that entry to the group REQUIRES a real profile picture with a clear view of your face and a genuine effort at answering the intro questions**. This helps event host(s) and fellow members get to know you better and recognize you at events. As the group continues to grow and evolve, keep an eye out for the latest updates posted by our organizers! **DISCLAIMER** Attending and participating in events hosted by LA/OC Social Melting Pot is done at your own risk. You are responsible for your own health, safety, and well-being and will not hold the meetup group’s organizer, co-organizer(s), assistant organizer(s), event organizer(s), guest host(s), or other group member(s) responsible for any sickness, injuries, or issues that may occur at any time before, during, or after an event. You are personally responsible for obtaining essential information about an event and making the necessary preparations for participating in said event. This includes any precautions as recommended by the California Department of Public Health. Your membership to the group is at-will and can be terminated for any reason. The aim of LA/OC Social Melting Pot is to bring individuals of similar age and interests together in a safe, friendly environment built on a foundation of respect and kindness. We ask that you not only respect the group’s event rules and policies, but each other as well. Removal from the group will be considered for any pattern of behavior to the contrary. Whether you want to "ride along" on someone else's trips, plan & host your own, or just ride with new friends on the mountain - Meet up with your skiing, boarding, and MTB'ing peeps here! Join the fun!
Mammoth Riders revel in skiing and boarding in the Winter and/or mountain biking and hiking in the Summer, and we want to share in the adventure with other like-minded individuals. Our goal is to offer a forum for skiing, boarding, and other mountain sports enthusiasts to get together, organize, host, or simply participate in group trips and adventures, and to promote and enjoy our sports in the most relaxed, fun, and social environment possible.

Overall, this group is social but laid back. We pretty much plan our trips well, and then play our “plan” by ear depending on each group’s dynamic. It works out quite nicely for the diversity and interests of our members!

ALL SKILL LEVELS AND SPORTING INTERESTS ARE WELCOME—We may even venture into summertime hiking, climbing, kayaking, and more, because Mammoth is so versatile, and our adventure palette is so diverse!
We plan group trips skiing/boarding/biking mostly at Mammoth, but encourage and welcome you to join in and plan and post adventures in the many other wonderful resorts both at home and abroad.
