PUG Sports Zone
Thanks for stopping by and checking out PUG (Pick Up Games) Sports Zone. While we play various sports, there is one common theme in every game we host; there are no set teams from week to week so a member who you were playing against one week could be your teammate the next. This helps foster an environment where we welcome anyone 18 or older who wants to play, whether experienced or just starting out, an environment where effort is valued over talent; all that we ask is that you give 100%. We're looking for people who like to compete but do not go overboard about it. Anyone who harps on other players inadequacies or has a negative attitude if the game doesn't go their way or is just a big jerk should pass us by because we will ask them to leave. Due to the cost of renting facilities and buying, maintaining equipment and insurance, we do charge for the events we post; $12.50 for Outdoor Soccer, and $10.50 for Volleyball. The schools we play at do not allow cash to exchange hands at the gyms or fields we rent so we have a online payment policy through Venmo. If you're interested in joining our group, please click the link below and review our message board which explains exactly how our group works (Payment Policy, Waitlist Policy, RSVP Policy, etc.): [https://www.meetup.com/PUGSports/messages/b...](https://www.meetup.com/PUGSports/messages/boards/) Failure to adhere to our policies could lead to your removal from an event (especially the Payment Policy) so it is your responsibility to review our message board. Email communication is very important in our group, therefore, please turn email notification ON. We hope to see you out on the court or pitch with us soon and please don’t be hesitant to contact Richard or Scott with any questions you may have.

LA/OC Social Melting Pot

Anaheim, CA

LA/OC Social Melting Pot
This is a group for adults, primarily in the 20s-40s age range, who are interested in building a community of friends and acquaintances in this great multicultural melting pot of Los Angeles and Orange County. A “melting pot” is a metaphor for a society where many different types of people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds coexist. So whether you’re new to the area, a long-time transplant, or you’ve lived here your whole life, come join us for an endless array of activities that include exploring locales, enjoying good food (a must!), playing board games, trying new hobbies and more! **Please note that entry to the group REQUIRES a real profile picture with a clear view of your face and a genuine effort at answering the intro questions**. This helps event host(s) and fellow members get to know you better and recognize you at events. As the group continues to grow and evolve, keep an eye out for the latest updates posted by our organizers!   **DISCLAIMER**   Attending and participating in events hosted by LA/OC Social Melting Pot is done at your own risk. You are responsible for your own health, safety, and well-being and will not hold the meetup group’s organizer, co-organizer(s), assistant organizer(s), event organizer(s), guest host(s), or other group member(s) responsible for any sickness, injuries, or issues that may occur at any time before, during, or after an event. You are personally responsible for obtaining essential information about an event and making the necessary preparations for participating in said event. This includes any precautions as recommended by the California Department of Public Health. Your membership to the group is at-will and can be terminated for any reason. The aim of LA/OC Social Melting Pot is to bring individuals of similar age and interests together in a safe, friendly environment built on a foundation of respect and kindness. We ask that you not only respect the group’s event rules and policies, but each other as well. Removal from the group will be considered for any pattern of behavior to the contrary.
