Problem Structuring
If a solution exists, how does one solve a problem? The first and most important step is to structure the problem. If you have done that correctly, the rest is easy. This is based on my 45 years working in industry, solving problems in strategy, machine capacity & throughput modeling, scheduling, engineering yield systems, credit risk, default risk, medical statistics, company valuation and company credit. I invented the Capital Premium Model, and Economic & Funding (E&F) Statements to better model company credit risk and market-based valuations. Invented Wilcoxon Regression to better model probability distributions, Collated Distributions to model credit risk and infectious disease spread, and Levy/Black Swan Distribution to model black swans. And have written parsers. Lookup my landmark paper that proved that Multiple Sclerosis is not an unpredictable disease (https://drive.google.com/file/d/19O_QAG6-Y4J_GputX6lRgpdin0-x7Ode/view). I proposed how to reduce bank capital requirements for mortgages by 70% (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZVfZLt_P5E). As a hobby I proved the difference between probability and randomness. I discovered the first formula g=τc^2 for gravitational acceleration in 337 years (1687-2024) that does not have mass in the equation, and that the gravitational constant G is not. Have a decision theory paper, Asymmetric Information Resolution (AIR) Models, pending publication. Most of my work has either been published or is pending publication. Please bring problems you want structured but remember this is a public forum.

Lightwave - Redwood City Dragon Boat Racing

Lightwave - Redwood City Dragon Boat Racing
Join us if you want to work out with a group of fun-loving, competitive dragon boat paddlers! Be prepared for rigorous exercise! **About Lightwave:** Formed in 1996 when dragon boat racing first became a sport in the Bay Area, Lightwave is a group of committed athletes who paddle year-round and race competitively 4-5 times per season out of Redwood City. Our team is made up of veteran paddlers and newcomers to the sport. We all share similar passions, to feel the boat glide above the water when we are paddling in sync, to motivate each other on and off the water, and, importantly, answer life's biggest question: "Where’s Lunch?" **About our practices:** * Lightwave is currently recruiting! Any new member gets 3 free trial practices. After that, we ask that you pay a once a year membership fee to keep coming out. This is a flat fee and covers all boat, site, and equipment usage. Once you are on the team, you will get access to all our team communications including information about races, events, and practices. * Beginners to the sport are welcome. We will teach you everything you need to know to race in a Dragon Boat! Practice starts with a 15 minute warm up on land involving a series of stretches and dynamic movements focusing on core and full-body strength. * **A typical practice may consist of:** * An introduction to the paddle and safety commands. * Technique and the parts of the dragon boat stroke. * A long paddle warm-up (sometimes up to 2000 meters or 15 minutes straight of paddling). * Technique and race drills (endurance, strength). * 250 - 500 meter race pieces. * Practice ends with some cool-down stretches. **Some tips:** * Dragon Boating is a water sport. Dress in exercise clothes that you don’t mind getting wet. * We highly recommended you **eat well** and **hydrate** your body prior to coming to paddle in the dragon boat. This is an anaerobic sport. **Water is essential!** * You will be sore for the next few days after your first practice! Remember that this is a sport that utilizes your whole body. * Like any other sport, we paddle hard and you will be paddling for the majority of practice. While you may be sore for a few days, you will get stronger! **What to bring:** Water bottle, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, jacket/windbreaker (it gets cold at night). Paddles and PFDs (Personal Floatation Devices) are provided. Must be 18 or older. **Technique video:** [Team LightWave rotation technique](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lN3yCtLYnDY) **Race video:** Check out our latest race in Vancouver Canada: [Vancouver Finals Mixed E](https://youtube.com/clip/Ugkxxvn1sn75nQf65V-gseb97JMolCR-h9oD) ! Lightwave takes the GOLD!! We were in Lane 3 under the combined team name of Dragon's Wave.
