Hugs 4 Harlequins Wargaming
We are starting a discord for people to play various games or chat together on, and talk about 40k too. If you would like to join it please message Brent or Alian for a link. Welcome to Hugs 4 Harlequins, we are a friendly group focusing primarily on Warhammer 40k game nights. Other events possible based on interest. The wife and I have started this group as a way to find like minded people to share the hobby with, while also introducing new players to 40k. We have been playing for just 2-3 years now, and are open to anyone be they are long time vet who grumbles about the old days or a new rookie. Our group currently has 3 tables to play on complete with gaming mats and terrain. We also have some community armies for people to learn with if they aren't sure about 40k yet.  Skill wise you will find people who are just starting to people who like to play competitive games attending events like LVO. We ask that you try to get a base coat on your models and hopefully another color at your earliest convenience, it won't upset anyone if you play with bare plastic models, its just a way of encouraging people to paint. We generally meet on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month the second being mostly a game day and 4th saturday being open for hobby work or games. Disclaimer: While we are open to players of all age we do ask anyone under 16 be accompanied by a parent/guardian. There is often people enjoying a beer, so this is a notice for parents. We will not however allow anyone underage to have any alcohol.

Disabled People Want To Meetup Too!

Littleton, CO

Disabled People Want To Meetup Too!
This is a group for anyone with a disability, whether it be **visible** (requires the use of a wheelchair, walker, or cane) **or invisible** (Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, Fibromyalgia, TBI, MS, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Neuropathy, Arthritis, Stroke, Parkinson's, etc.). Also, anyone who experiences chronic pain, extreme fatigue, dizziness, severe depression, weakness, and/or cognitive impairment is welcome in this group. ![](http://photos4.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/a/6/1/5/event_21342517.jpeg) We meet in the Denver, CO metro area (Littleton) we also have an active Facebook page if you would like to join us online. We are neither activists nor educators; we meet to socialize and enjoy the company of others who understand what it is like to be living a life that does not fit the expectations and norms of mainstream society. Our coffee chats also include an emphasis on attitude to help us Live Again! (a prominent feature on our logo) \~ the always supportive atmosphere of our meetups enables members to increase their health, wellness, fitness, and psychological contentment in whatever manner is meaningful to them - becoming more physically active, learning new wellness techniques (psychological and physical), escaping victim behavior/psychology, and of course, making new friends who understand. The first Saturday afternoon of each month we enjoy conversation, crafts, puzzles, and coffee house drinks and snacks at Solid Grounds (Broadway and Panama). We also have an opportunity to purchase treats from " Mountain Man" who stops by with his goodies or to shop at an upscale resale shop ("Renewed Treasures") a few doors away, and always great socializing. Members may also participate in outdoor activities that offer sunshine, fresh air, and physical activities: bicycling, kayaking, and sailing with an adaptive sports company, and our Annual End of the Summer Heat Picnic to celebrate the onset of cooler days! **LET'S** **MEETUP \~ SHARE SOME LAUGHS AND FRUSTRATIONS!** Even if you aren't able to physically join us at a meetup, I hope you will become a member so we can get to know you. Those of us who meetup have created lifelines that help us get through the day, and any member who connects to the group online will be similarly rewarded. An online connection can be as valuable as one made in person. These relationships can be very rewarding to those of us who are feeling lonely, frustrated, isolated, anxious, or depressed. **We all have tough times and everyone in this group understands what it's like to suffer through them. You won't be alone any longer when you become a DPWTMT member.** **Your new friends are waiting!!!**

Denver Metro Pick-up Tennis

Aurora, CO

Denver Metro Pick-up Tennis
Hi Tennis Friends. Our group has grown quite a bit over the last few months, so we have expanded to include other areas and more organizers. If you are interested in becoming an organizer, please let me know. I would like to see our calendar full of tennis meetups.  Anyone who wants to play tennis can join. Tennis meetups are more fun when people with similar ability levels play together, so please let us know your level when you sign up for a meetup so others at that level can plan. 2.0: beginner (you've never really played tennis before) 2.5: upper beginner (tennis is pretty new to you, but you are getting the basic down) 3.0: intermediate (you know the basics of tennis, you can serve and return) 3.5 upper intermediate (you know where to stand on the court, can strategize, and can volley) 4.0 high intermediate (you can hit consistently, set up yourself or your partner, and have a variety shots) 4.5 advanced (you can cover the court, serve strongly, predict where the ball will go, and hit winning shots) 5.0+: pro-level tennis  \*These levels are cumulative. It is recommend that players stay within 0.5-1.0 of each other when they opt to play to keep everything more competitive. I want to make sure everyone who participates in this meetup is on the same page, so I’ve created a list of rules for the group. These rules are so members can feel that the RSVPs are reliable, the play is equal, and that everyone is welcome. (1) Always make everyone feel welcome, no matter their level. Some people are new to tennis and we want to encourage players to continue to play and improve their tennis skills. Help new players, give friendly advice, and make sure to have fun. (2) Please be aware that everyone’s comfort level for socializing is different. Some people would like to maintain distance and not touch. While it’s difficult not to want to high-5 each other, please tap rackets or give air high-5s instead. (3) Please bring a new can of balls to every other meetup you attend. Different people should be opening balls each meetup. Talk to each other when you come on the court to see who will open a can that day (don’t open the can until you communicate, someone might have already opened some and we don’t want to waste that new ball smell). (4) If you need to cancel, please communicate with the other players at least two hours in advance. If you are no longer interested in waiting, please take yourself off the Wait-List. Anyone that shows up to an event that does not have an RSVP, will need to give up that spot to someone who is on the RSVP list, until a spot opens up. It is not recommended to just show up without an RSVP. Please only come to events you have RSVP'd to. Please add all guests to the RSVP lists. (6) If you will be late – even just 5 minutes, please communicate with the other players at least 10 minutes before the start time. (7) If you want to change your RSVP to “not going” please message the other players if you are doing so less than a day in advance. (8) Please be mindful that everyone has a bad day and encourage your fellow tennis players. Some players get frustrated which happens in sports, but please do not throw equipment, hit the ball erratically in anger, or yell at other players. Remember, your court etiquette can effect other players.   If you are unable to abide by these rules, I will send you a message and if you continue to break the rules I may ask you to leave the group or put you on probation. I hope everyone can be respectful and I encourage more players to be organizers so we can have more tennis events on our calendar.
