A group that is dedicated to providing unique, sophisticated, and fun social events for the ever-evolving taste and interest of today's bi/lesbian woman of color.

Social activities range from art openings, brunches, plays, movies, poetry readings, yoga, dinner parties, book clubs, after work drinks, outdoor adventures, wine tastings, group travel to DC, Philly, New York, and Toronto, and team sports etc.

NOTE: All bi/lesbian women of color (Black, Latina, South Asian, Asian, and Native American), including all transgender women of color who identify as lesbians, bisexual, and queer, from the tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT) are welcome to join. Because this group serves as one of the few spaces for gay and bisexual women of color, particularly feminine lesbians and bisexual women of color, to socialize free of the forces of racism, sexism, and homophobia, we ask that you do not apply if you are not a woman of color who identifies as a lesbian or bisexual.

CRITERIA: As criteria for membership, all applicants must include a headshot that clearly includes their faces in their profile pictures. Profiles with avatars, non-human subjects, cartoons, or photos that in any way, shape, or form, obscure members' faces will be rejected. Profiles should include members' faces in order to ensure that their profiles are legitimate in order to ensure members' safety. Profiles that do not meet this criteria will be rejected. The Southern Connecticut Shooting Meetup Group brings together local people interested in all levels of recreational and personal protection shooting, for the exchange of information about firearms, shooting sports, and home and personal defense.

Whether your passion is Pistol, Shotgun, Rifle or even black powder Muzzle-loading Rifle or Pistol we will have events for you! Maybe you're a long-time Trap Shooter who would like to get a pistol permit and learn defensive pistol techniques. Perhaps you're a Rifle Marksman who would like to learn to shoot Trap. Whatever your situation, you will find like minded shooters!

Our major topics include continuing education and advancement, skills development, and firearms comparison.

We welcome all Shooters, from beginning pistol shooters looking to get their permit, to weekend sport shooters, to those wishing to become more advanced marksmen, to very experienced Distinguished Experts.

The Southern Connecticut SCUBA Meetup Group brings together local people interested in all levels of SCUBA Diving for the exchange of information about underwater exploration and adventure.

Our major topics include continuing education and advancement, diving in Long Island Sound, and dive adventure travel.

We welcome all Divers, from snorkelers looking to get SCUBA certified, to Divers returning to the sport, to those wishing to become more advanced, to very experienced Dive Leaders.

Come, join us, and meet and socialize with other avid divers, while enhancing your skills and broadening your SCUBA horizons!

This group for anyone with an interest in learning all the different disciplines of photography with the purpose of learning from and sharing with others the skills and experiences we all have. We will seek ideas from the group and hold events based on what members are interested in. The goal is to explore everything from the basics such as exposure and depth of field to advanced lighting and fill flash. We will also explore sports, pet, portraits and still life photography along with anything else members want to suggest. This group is about meeting other people with the same interest in photography, learning and most importantly having fun with the hobby we love. The  gear does not matter, shoot with what you have, the best camera is always the one you have and carry with you.

Whether you are new or a life-long member of the area, come out to meet new friends and explore a variety of places in South Norwalk and the surrounding areas (including an Occasional museum or show event in NYC). Knowing that many people are not always free on the same night, our plans vary by day and are based in or around SoNo.

We're a mix of fun 20s & 30s & 40's and above!  We will host meetup events around dating and cultural themes including but not limited to mixers,   Broadway shows, museums, sporting events, happy hours and more.  Have something else you would like planned?  Just email us and let us know!   Some of the events are planned by Weekenddating.

Thank you for your interest and Welcome to Trail Cranks MTB-Long Island  (TCMTB).  I created this group for Mountain Bike Enthusiasts interested in riding with other like minded enthusiasts who love to ride the trails and enjoy nature. The idea is to organize group rides on and off Long island.  Nothing better than to enjoy the freedom that MTB brings to our lives.  

TCMTB is for riders who are both experienced or just starting out. It is open to all  who enjoy the sport.  Please get familiar with  Policy and Liability Waiver found on the discussion board. This is also a good time to take a look around the site and check out our past rides and activities(when available). If you agree to our policy, and want to be part of this group.  All I ask is that you participate in at least two rides per calendar year and help post or help with ideas on events we can post.
