**PLEASE READ....NOT FREE!** Welcome to the **Nature Coast Dragon Boat Club Community Team Meetup**! Join us and experience the power of teamwork as we embark on a journey to get in shape and boost our metabolism and energy levels through regular exercise. Let's paddle together and explore beautiful nature and plan exciting trips and outings. This group is open to recreational paddlers with a passion for outdoor activities. Come join us and indulge in the wonders of nature while keeping fit! **Please read the following, then sign the waiver at https://forms.gle/NXC5VW7vorfansB87** **No paddlers will be allowed in the boats without a complete waiver.** The ancient sport of dragon boat racing is the fastest growing water sport in the world.  It is a team sport in its purest form, and encompasses the elements of power, speed, synchronization and endurance. Twenty paddlers, one steers, and one drummer work in total harmony.  We have two 20-person boats and one 10 person boat and we are based in Homosassa and train on the beautiful Homosassa River. Advanced level coaching and equipment is available to all new paddlers.  All padlers will be coached on the proper paddling techniques including basic paddling commands, (Paddles Up, Go, Slow the boat, Hold the boat, Back the baot, Brace the boat, Let it ride). All paddlers must be proficient in comands to create a funa while safe environment. All fitness levels are welcome; it's our goal to train you to succeed.  We encourage a healthy lifestyle through physical activity. Let this be a regular part of your workout routine and train to become a dragon boater. **Cost:** **COMMUNITY TEAM**: Member - Free, Non-member $10 per paddle event regardless of type of paddle event. Membership $150 yearly. $20 per month available for non year round paddlers. Must be paid in full for all months you expect to attend, (ie; snow birds). ***COMMUNITY TEAM WILL NOT BE RACING.*** Community Team paddle: For those wishing to be introduced to the sport in a leisure-casual practice environment. Paddling is two times weekly, currently Wednesday and Saturday mornings. Paddle type will be posted for each paddle with various destinations and events to participate in including a paddle and lunch monthly (no alcohol may be consumed by paddlers at lunch paddles).
