Pirate School

Marc was the first Navy Seal to die in Iraq.  Google his name, you will be impressed.  We have named our facility after him with the approval of his mother.

The paypal link of this club goes to Forsyth Area Sports Teams, Inc. and all deductions are approved by the IRS as a donation to a 501 (c)(3).

The lake is now high enough to use our dock for “small boat” sailing at anytime by making a reservation. This is open to any member who passes a 1 hour proficiency test or who can show suitable qualifications. Use of the sailboat is free.

Our aquatic club supports employment for challenged adults through the nonprofit Forsyth Area Sports Teams, Inc. (FAST)

If you are going to donate to the nonprofit anyway, we have made it fun for you to watch your donation disappear. We have added a new fundraiser this year “Pirate Poker”, the only poker game we play is “Plunder”. There is absolutely no chance of you winning and you are better off just throwing the money to us from a distance. You do not get to hear the rules until after you break them and they change constantly. There is some rum involved so you must be over 21 to lose money. The minimum you are allowed to lose is $10. After people depart from the every sail, the others can stay at the clubhouse to play pirate poker until their money runs out or they walk the plank into the pool.

As wonderful as our sailing courses are, we must acknowledge that the best place to take sailing is the Lanier Sailing Academy. http://www.laniersail.com/lanier.htm We are not affiliated we them, we simply know they are the very best, and they win awards. Single boat operations simply do not compare to learning on their large lake fleet and with their other sailboats in many places around the world. Do you have a question about a sailing school, ask us?

20s to 40s Pickle Ball, Social and Fun (PBSF)

Duluth, GA

20s to 40s Pickle Ball, Social and Fun (PBSF)
Pickleball has been growing exponentially in America. It is something between tennis and Ping-Pong. For those of you don’t know, a pickleball court is about half the size of a tennis court. And it’s very common to see neighborhoods converted some of their tennis courts into pickleball courts. It gives very good aerobic exercise and fun. Let’s do it! Beginners and intermediate players are welcome (advanced players are also welcome to coach:) If you don’t have a pickleball paddle yet, go get one at local sports shops or online. We will play singles or doubles depending on the number of attendees. If you want to be an organizer, please do let me know. We have seen frequent no-shows. If you can’t come to an event. Please make sure you update your RSVP status to show respect to the organizers and other players. If you fail to do that for three times (we won’t count accurately but we will notice those frequent no-shows), you may be removed from a future event or the group. By participating in our activities, you acknowledge that the activities involves inherent risks and dangers, including but not limited to physical exertion, unpredictable weather conditions, and possible injuries. Our group does not guarantee the safety or well-being of participants, and all individuals join us at their own risk. Ladies....Let's Golf!

Alpharetta, GA

Ladies....Let's Golf!
This is a women’s only, all levels, social golf group. Our goal is simple…have fun & meet new friends while learning the game of golf together. We will play 9 or 18 holes at public courses, hit the driving ranges & arrange group lessons (if interested) & social events at Top Golf. All I ask is if you RSVP please come. I understand life gets in the way, so if you need to cancel try to do it sooner than later, otherwise a spot is taken from someone that may be on a waitlist. I need your help! I can’t always be available (work, family, kids, etc) to host or attend events and I don’t want you to miss out on fun because I’m not available. So If you would like to arrange an event you can either send me the information and I will post with you as a host or if you want to be a host and arrange the events your self let me know and I can make you an event coordinator. Here are a few tools to help get started:  Watch this YouTube tutorial all about you as the golfer:  [https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLRByAYKVBw0oExSDupGQ66mfqaEWpTZhS&si=dNKiE5_8xwV7gYeO](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLRByAYKVBw0oExSDupGQ66mfqaEWpTZhS&si=dNKiE5_8xwV7gYeO) Golf course etiquette:  [https://youtu.be/lmjg7QacQ9I?si=an9Q4zrXT2HP4v94](https://youtu.be/lmjg7QacQ9I?si=an9Q4zrXT2HP4v94) [https://youtu.be/pp4qNDHQfL4?si=DeE0zuj7H5YZQj39](https://youtu.be/pp4qNDHQfL4?si=DeE0zuj7H5YZQj39) All about your clubs: [https://youtu.be/9XsO7Qu9EE4?si=7t48CQ_vckRWeJdW](https://youtu.be/9XsO7Qu9EE4?si=7t48CQ_vckRWeJdW) Other key points:  Don’t bring your clubs in the clubhouse. There is always a spot outside to set them. Talking: don’t talk (or where they can hear you)  while someone is teeing off or playing. Standing: don’t stand right behind someone playing. Walking: don’t walk across a player line between ball and pin (especially in the green). Gloves: wear when using your driver but don’t need for rest of course (especially for putting).  I just keep my on all the time😁. If you don’t have clubs, I suggest going to a resale shop, like Play it again sports Or the PGA shop, and purchasing a driver, a putter and some sort of hybrid and a small bag to carry them in.  Tell them that you’re a beginner and you want an entry-level set of clubs. When you start you reall need 3-5 clubs and athletic wear. The courses that will play our public courses, so the dress codes are not strict/old school , but you should wear appropriate/comfortable clothes. If you want, you can get yourself a glove & some golf shoes (gym shoes are fine) but you don’t really need any of that. Hope this helps. Can’t wait to see you all!!  Text or call me with questions.
