Boston Social Sports
Boston, MA
Boston Social Sports and Recreation is a Meetup featuring one day sporting meetups, discounted event tickets, and sports leagues. Our goal is to offer a unique social experience where meeting new friends and making a connection are just as important as the sports themselves. We pride ourselves in running the most fun, welcoming, personal leagues in the city!
We are currently featuring singles social sports. By matching you on a team of players within your age group and from your neighborhood, making connections have never been easier! To learn more about singles social sports please check out our website or email Jess.
Do you want to start a pickup game? We invite our members to offer social sports events! Please email us and let us know what you would like to do (the more details, the better). If we feel this is a good fit for the group, we will post the meetup.
Southern New Hampshire RPG
Nashua, NH
The Southern New Hampshire RPG group is about Role playing games! Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, Shawowrun, and pretty much any other type of table top RPG. Our members are a broad base of new and veterans RPGers, from D&D 1st edition, to 3.5, to the current edition. Our goal is to help people from the southern NH area, and certainly any one from northern Mass, and NH, find a game. We hope that our members will host/run events, and join existing games. We are always looking for members who are willing to meet new people, and join in on all of the fun we are having playing games.
We we are also looking for people who are interested in playing online RPG's and helping those people find a good group.
I moved to NH about 8 years ago, and since joining SNH RPG in January, I have played more D&D since moving up here. If you are looking for a game, or to run a game and cannot find players or a GM, this is the group for you.
Finally I want to express that we are not about any types of role playing that involves games of a sexual nature. I am sure there are other places for that, just be aware that this is not that place.

New England Orienteering Club
Belmont, MA
Orienteering...More than navigating or roaming the outdoors! Orienteering is a compass and map navigation sport done for exercise and fun. Participants are challenged to find a series of unique three-sided flags hidden on various courses in a park or a forest using only a map, compass, and their wits. The sport is enjoyed by walkers, hikers, runners, and families with kids. All events are timed, but it is up to each participant to decide whether to casually walk a course, or run it like it was their own personal amazing race. Very easy, beginner, and intermediate orienteering courses, along with training on how to use a compass and read a topography map, occur at all New England Orienteering (NEOC) events.
The New England Orienteering Club is an all volunteer non-profit dedicated to promoting the sport of orienteering. More information on the orienteering schedule is available at www.newenglandorienteering.org. NEOC was founded in 1972 to promote the sport of orienteering and develop suitable maps. Today, NEOC has over 400 members, organizes approximately 40 events per year, and has produced nearly 40 specialized, five color orienteering maps in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and eastern Connecticut.
Nature Girls
Natick, MA
This group is for WOMEN who love the outdoors, hike, bike, backpack, climb, walk and just enjoy being outside and enjoy the company of other women.
We want to create a positive and non-competitive environment for all women to enjoy.
The Nature Girls Meetup Group is intended to be a fun group for all members. Members join the group freely and can cancel membership at any time.
We are dedicated to outdoor activities combined with fun and laughter. Join us on our weekend and weekday outings of walking in local parks, hiking in the White Mountains, snowshoeing, kayaking, biking, rock climbing etc.. Our outings are NOT hard-core, elite level sporting events, but you do need to be in decent physical condition to participate.
We will practice responsible hiking and hike in smaller groups (max. 15) to limit the impact on nature. The smaller the group the less ground disturbance and noise we will create. Those who will pass through after us will be eternally grateful.
We will stick to the rule to take nothing but pictures and leave nothing but footprints.
Suggestions for events are always welcome and encouraged, and all members are eligible to act as Event Host for the Nature Girls after attending 3 events, and with the approval of Nature Girls organizers.
