Mentor Discover Inspire - where men connect and collaborate

Succasunna, NJ

Mentor Discover Inspire - where men connect and collaborate
Are you being the man you always wanted to be?  Are you exceeding in all aspects of your life?  Is there one thing in your life that keeps coming back up and knocking you down?  What serious life challenge are you facing right now, that you are not sure where to turn to for real no BS help? Do these questions have any meaning for you?  Have you ever heard them before?  If so, how have you answered them, truthfully? Are there men in your life you trust and can turn to for support and wisdom when you need it most?  Can you share your concerns, issues, fears, and ideas with those men without being judged or ridiculed? I'm not talking about 'buddies' here – the ‘guys you hang with’, play sports, or drink with.  I am talking about a few men you see regularly with whom you can comfortably and safely disclose your most private and intimate concerns and issues around fatherhood and parenting, relationships and marriage, careers, health and addictions, brotherhood, and other key issues in your life – the stuff that really matters. Do you have such a resource available to you?  We do, and it makes our lives better because of it.  Our team focuses on providing a place where your goals and visions can be realized, among a team of men that honor their commitments and hold each other accountable. WELCOME TO MDI; Mentor Discover Inspire, a nonprofit organization, consisting of a huge network of men, dedicated to empowering men by providing them with the tools to succeed in all areas of their lives. The mission of MDI is: To cause greatness by mentoring men to live with excellence, and as Mature, Masculine Leaders, create successful families, careers, and communities. The team meetings announced on this site are for the Atlas Division of north-western New Jersey.  So, if the location of the meeting listed here or the night of the meeting doesn't work for you please contact me and we will set you up with a meeting with another team. We are currently meeting virtually via ZOOM. To experience this Men’s team, contact me, Tim Martin, and I’ll get you the information you need to attend our meeting.  Call or text me at (862) 397-0143.  Or email me at tmartin.mdi@gmail.com. Hike Morristown with FreeWalkers

Morristown, NJ

Hike Morristown with FreeWalkers
**FreeWalkers.org** is a social network dedicated to exploring life on foot, for walkers and hikers interested in participating in **long-distance walking events** in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Membership is free and open to everyone.  We support each member's effort to reach their own goals of fitness and enjoyment as we walk together, explore our surroundings, and promote pro-pedestrian interests. FreeWalkers has thousands of members and hosts dozens of long-distance walking events each year in **New Jersey, Pennsylvania** and **New York,** as well as many in **Maryland, Delaware** and **Virginia**.  Most walks are supported by mass transit for easy access and return, and are between ten and fifty miles in length.  Some walks are longer multi-day or shorter distance events. We have all kinds of walks, but we are most known for our longer distance walking events. Some of our walks offer shorter 5k to 10k options. Walkers are free to move at their own pace and distance.  It is not necessary for a walk to be completed or timed, only enjoyed. Our walks expose members to countless locations of scenic beauty, historic importance, and pedestrian convenience, all with the benefit of social support, event organization and the opportunity to engage with interesting fellow walkers.   We are an IRS-approved 501(c)3 non-profit and your tax-free donations help us create free and low-cost walks that are interesting, challenging and open to everyone.  We manage multiple regional FreeWalkers groups on Meetup. We do encourage joining [freewalkers.org](http://freewalkers.org/) and actively supporting our partners and sponsors who help make these events possible. At our website, you can browse [photos](http://freewalkers.org/photos) of our events, learn about our [history](http://freewalkers.org/history) and [mission](http://freewalkers.org/mission-statement), and [read about the experiences](http://freewalkers.org/stories) of some of our walkers. Look for our many walks every year in greater New York City, many parts of New Jersey including Hudson, Union, Middlesex, Somerset, Union, Morris, Monmouth, Mercer and Burlington County; Southeastern Pennsylvania including Philadelphia, Bucks and Montgomery County; Delaware and greater Washington DC. Join us on nature hikes, city walks, history walking tours, long-distance walks, scenic walks and themed walking outings. **Why you might like to join the FreeWalkers:** • Did you ever wonder how far you could walk? • Would you like to know more about the places you walk? • Are you more interested in accomplishing personal goals than winning a race? • Are you the type of person who can't pass up an interesting challenge or adventure? • Have you ever longed to get out of your car and experience what a community is really like? • Do you believe you spend nearly as many calories walking as running but over a longer period of time? • Are you looking for a sport where social interaction is possible? • Are you looking for an alternative exercise routine that's both easy on the body and builds endurance? We look forward to seeing you at our next event. Walk the Walk! It's good for you, good for us and good for the greater community. Get out there for your first FreeWalk, and you will be glad that you did.

The Morris County Volleyball Meetup Group

Whippany, NJ

The Morris County Volleyball Meetup Group

People of intermediate to advanced skill levels who enjoy playing volleyball and improving their fundamentals should join right up!  This Meetup group features opportunities for levels of play from  adult to intermediate and advanced level players looking to play competitive volleyball and become part of the local volleyball community.

We offer weeknight open gym play for players who consider themselves to be of intermediate or advanced skill.  We try to offer skills training opportunities throughout the summer months for beginners, intermediate, and even the most advanced players wanting to improve their knowledge of the game and fundamental skills.

There are some small costs associated with participation to cover costs of gym space, outdoor nets, volleyballs, and insurance and administrative costs associated with running any form of organization.  Please understand our need to cover once-per-year $25/player insurance costs to make certain everyone is protected under our liability policy, and our average $10/night or $25/tournament expenses essentially allow us to continue providing a quality and safe playing environment.

This summer, and hopefully many thereafter, we're looking to organize King/Queen of the court tournaments for players looking to get out of the house, get some exercise, have fun, and meet with others looking to do the same.  This format involves having everyone play with everyone else on their net as partners against various combinations of all the other players. It means lots of play with lots of different partners, and the opportunity to see how good of a teammate you can become!

This Meetup group is sponsored by the Morris County Volleyball Club (MCVC) and LYS Sports Academy.
