We seek out the twistiest roads around and work toward building our riding skills. Established in Rochester NY in 1969, the parent organization Huggers Ski Club has evolved from a ski club to a multi-recreational and social club. This MeetUp group is a way to reach out to invite new people, singles and couples, age 21 and over, to join in our activities. Come join us for downhill and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, bicycling, kayaking, canoeing, camping, picnics, casual and formal dinners, happy-hours, euchre parties and more. During ski season, we also have group downhill and cross-country trips.   Outdoor events and happy hours are always free and open to the public, so come "try us out!"  For events where Huggers Ski Club rents a venue and provides free or subsidized beverages and food, non-members or HSC MeetUp members will need to pay $10 over what a Huggers Ski Club member pays. We have several GYC Mentoring Skippers ready to take new sailors out for some hands-on experience sailing a variety of boats - and hope that our new sailors will be full of questions and ready to learn about the sport of sailing. This is truly as hands-on as you want it to be - you'll be able to trim the sails, take the helm, and learn about boat-speak, as well as learn boater-safety and some of the rules of the road when out on the water. However if in the event of a small craft advisory is issued or active thunderstorms in the area the event will be cancelled for that week. If a session is full make sure to keep checking in up to that nite as more openings can happen as we add boats and skippers the number of New Sailors we can accommodate for any specific week may increase !!!
