Retrocomputing is a hobby where enthusiasts collect rare, interesting, or valuable hardware and software for the collectible value or to enjoy using it.

Many expensive systems like IBM Mainframes, DEC minicomputers, or SGI workstations have now become affordable on the used computer market. Other vintage computers such as Apple IIs, IBM PCs, ZX Spectrums, Atari, Commodore, Amigas and BBC Micros are even more popular among collectors for sentimental reasons.

This group is for demonstrating, discussing, displaying, coding on, playing with (etc. . .) the original hardware in order to enjoy and share the experience with like-minded others, while preserving the aging electronics for historical reasons.

North Dallas Single Friends is a singles group located in the northern suburbs of Dallas. The majority of our members are in their 40's and 50's (+). Most of our events are located in Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, and Richardson.

Our group engages in activates such as-- Happy Hours, Brunch Gatherings, House Parties. Sporting Events, and whatever else fun we comes up with...

Our goal is to have a fun creative group of friends enjoying great events-- Meeting new friends!

There are no dues for membership to this Meetup-- few times a years will have fund raiser events to cover Meetup site costs.

Taking the Good News of Jesus Christ to the Streets

This group is for my brothers and sisters in Christ who want to come together to pray, learn, and go into the community to share the Good News of Christ. We are a para-church ministry open to anyone who wants to join us in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  We evangelize predominantly on the streets of our respective communities and we occasionally meet together for training and equipping those who share our passion for reaching lost souls.  

We will be meeting to pray for our neighbors and to to encourage and equip group members to deliver a clear presentation of the Gospel. We will be laboring together to take the Gospel door-to-door, to local sporting and community events, to public parks and train stations, to malls and even to churches. Of course, there will be potlucks too......Lord willing.

What We Believe

• The Bible is the inerrant inspired Word of God

• All men are sinners, separated from God by violating His law (the Ten Commandments), are deserving of eternal punishment in Hell and cannot save themselves.

• Jesus Christ, God’s son and true God, having become true man, lived, suffered and died for the sins of all people, that we need not remain separated from God.

• Whoever repents of his sin and accepts by faith, Jesus Christ as savior has forgiveness of sin and life eternal.

• Therefore each person is saved from eternal separation from God only by the grace of God himself, through faith in Jesus Christ.

• In response to this loving gift of God, Christians will strive to live Holy lives as the fruit of their faith and together with their fellow Christians in the church will serve God and do his work – including telling others the Good News!

Then feel free to join this HAMMY group as we do everything from PERFORMING at various local sporting events, to SINGING Christmas Carols at nearby Senior facilities, to READING radio theatre of the mind on theatrical stage in Allen, to DANCING/ MOVEMENT flash mob moments at our local airport, to making the nightly news just for being one of the good guys! Come out and find out what the hype is all about, and bring some of your own COOL IDEAS, and let the FUN begin!

This is not your typical dinner and board game couples group. Don't get me wrong.. We love to eat and we will be doing lots of it... but for sanity reasons we would like to think Dallas has more to offer. My husband and I love the outdoors so when weather permits, we are going outside! Preference will always go to outdoor activities like camping, biking, kayaking, water sports, boating, SUP, etc., but because  we are limited on those things in Dallas I will be mixing in other unique and fun activities like karaoke, competitive things, eating,drinking, festivals, sporting events, concerts, disc golf, go kart racing, poker nights, BBQs, house parties, 5k's, scavenger hunts,  pub crawls, comedy shows, and whatever else sound interesting. Ideally this will be a great group of outdoorsy people that are fun and down for adventure, and not a bunch of indoorsy people that only really want to go to dinner. Every once in awhile we will spice it up with weekend trips. Activities and events will be geared towards late 30's to early 40's.

Housekeeping: 

1) ATTENDANCE POLICY: I have one hard rule. I have NO interest in people who are inconsiderate or flakes. I pay for this meetup monthly out of my own pocket and I spend countless of my free hours researching awesome gatherings and experiences for the group. If you no show to even ONE event you will be removed immediately. If you RSVP regularly but " something always comes up" c'mon.. It is obvious what is happening. You will also be removed after we get done laughing at your " last minute emergencies.. You know.... cat stuck on a roof, or boss called me in last minute, or I forgot about a family reunion, etc... Or whatever else you make up because you just don't feel like it or found something better to do.. 

2) PARTICIPATION: I want this to be a very active group. Request to be a member because you want to start making new friends and participating right away. If you have been an inactive member in 3 months you are subject to be removed. If you got pregnant, mother in law moved in for 6 months.. Whatever.. Cool. I get it. We all have "real" lives... If you can't participate for a while just say so in comments or email and it won't seem like you are not interested and all is good... . 

3) PROFILE PICTURE: It is awesome that you have 15 animals and super cute kids but.... This is a couples group so you must have a couples picture to be accepted. 

4) COMPATABILITY: If you are too conservative, judgmental of people who don't share your beliefs, uptight, offended by drinking or bad words, afraid to break your nails, flaky, too religious, dramatic, two faced, afraid to get dirty, racist, don't consider yourself fun..... this is not the group for you!
