Sistas & Sports
Where my sistas at that love the NFL, college football, or both? Want to catch some games on the big screen but don't always want to watch it with the fellas? Well let's Meetup and catch a game or two with other sistas who love sports! We'll meet at local sports bars and even plan some trips to catch a game in a stadium. Doesn't matter who your favorite team is...I'm a Cowboys & Husker fan, we can still talk 'ish, make friendly bets and cheer each other's teams on. Football season is upon us but if you want to connect to watch another sport, let us know. We can always learn about others and have a good time. Baseball and golf, ehhh, I might have to sit those out! But Baseball in person ain't so bad! I will go swing a club at a driving range or Top Golf though! LOL **Outing Rules:** * Keep it respectful. We want the energy to keep things live but always remember, we're out to have a great time, make new friends, laugh and have fun. * Please only RSVP if you will be attending a function. If your plans change, update your RSVP. The organizer will most likely have to reserve a table where allowed, so accurate counts will be important. Life happens but multiple no-shows may cause you to be suspended or removed from the group. * You can be mad your team lost and talk trash when it's winning, but we must always be kind to each other. * Please drink responsibly. Your safety is important to us, so please understand that the organizer will confiscate your keys if you've had too much and order you an Uber or Lyft home. So if you already know how you toss 'em back...make arrangements.

baleadas, barbacoa, biryani, bokchoy, bún, and beyond!

Austin, TX

baleadas, barbacoa, biryani, bokchoy, bún, and beyond!
We are fanatic about the complex **balance** of flavors and textures in food. We enjoy taking time to **explore** and learn about cuisines and languages of the world by reading menus, paying attention to taste, temperature, and texture, and visiting restaurants to find **deliciousness**, especially in slow-cooked, *homestyle* dishes. We **analyze** and discuss which dishes taste amazing and why.  We're looking for like-minded people to join us in this hobby. Omnivores are especially welcome! We *don't* give much weight to advertising, atmosphere, celebrity chefs, cuteness, Eater Austin, Instagram, novelty, Google/Yelp ratings, reviews, or what's trending. The ideal member should **care** about and pay attention to **flavors** and **textures** and be **open** to unfamiliar ingredients, preparations, and/or sensations! We may learn bits of Amharic, Arabic, Bengali, Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien), Czech, Filipino (Tagalog), French, Hindi/Urdu, German, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Persian (Farsi), Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Tamil, Thai, Vietnamese, Yoruba, or other languages. Be **active**:  Attend *at least* one event every two weeks. Be **considerate**:  If you RSVP for an in-person event and will not attend, update your RSVP at least one *day* before the event begins. Be **respectful**:  We expect this to be a friendly, social group where all of our members feel comfortable and safe.
