DC Underwater sports (rugby and hockey) are open coed sports. We teach and practice swimming underwater using basic snorkeling gear. We welcome all recreational and professional swimmers, free divers and divers of all levels, ages, and backgrounds. Underwater rugby and hockey are truly 3D sports that will challenge your body and mind, teach you new swimming skills, and provide opportunities for new friends, travel and adventures. As a relatively new club we aim to establish a strong and thriving community of underwater swimming enthusiasts in the Arlington and Fairfax community. See you at the bottom.

 

WRSC is a group for pickup games of all types of sports (Kickball, Dodgeball, Volleyball, Capture the Flag, Paintball, Ultimate Frisbee and others). We are not a league so there are no practices, just RSVP and show up when you're ready to play. Our games are co-ed and children are welcomed, however we are geared more towards adults. We are fairly competitive but all levels of athletic abilities are welcomed. So come out have fun and meet your neighbors here in Woodbridge!! Looking forward to seeing you on the field!!!!!!!

FXA Sports is Northern VA's (VA/MD/DC) Largest (and Best) Co-ed, Men's, Women's Adult Sports League with over 68,000 players, 145 Leagues & 19 sports. We offer team, small group and individual registrations for our Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter seasons. To keep competition evenly matched, FXA offers several different divisions (Social, Casual, Competitive, & Elite) for teams and players ranging in skill levels. All games are officiated by qualified and experienced referees & umpires and played mainly on Turf Fields lined for each sport. After the games, our Sponsor Bars provide beer and food specials for teams to socialize and meet other players. Our Adult Sports League also offers events, parties, corporate event planning, and social activities throughout the season for players to have some fun off the field.

Board games are my hobby and I started this group to play more games. If you are sociable, respectful, and like modern board games (or want to learn) then this group is possibly for you. Sprouts is a gardening club for anyone interested in plants, gardening and horticulture! Let's nurture our collective love of gardening, share knowledge, participate in seed and plant swaps, exchange ideas, and generally have fun with our shared hobby. I currently grow dahlias, veggies, and herbs; I've fiddled around with houseplants, with raised-bed gardening, and landscape plants. I'm continuing to learn how to be a better gardener and would love to grow a community of like-minded people to share my plants, learn from, and have fun together. :)

Want to play a sport but never had a chance as a kid? Intimidated and perhaps slightly annoyed by the overly aggressive atmosphere of adult leagues in the DMV area? Want to just have fun while learning a new sport with new friends and old? Then this is the group for you! Group Rules - 1. We are a group dedicated to providing an outlet to play soccer for all skill levels. This means beginners, novices, people who have never touched a soccer ball are welcome. If you are looking for competitive soccer, are a person easily annoyed by playing alongside those not at your skill level, or are one of those people that will only pass to the "good" players, we kindly recommend finding another group. 2. When attending a game, please bring a white and black shirt. We will be playing games, and the easiest way to split up teams is shirt color. 3. We are just a burgeoning community group with little resources. We are using fields we *believe* are free. If we show up and another group is using the field, especially if they have a permit, then sorry, but all we can do is ask your understanding. 4. No recruiting for organized teams in this group online 5. ***We will play no contact soccer. Not light contact. No contact.*** It's an outdoor sport where people run, so inevitably people will bump into each other by accident. But if you are intentionally going shoulder to shoulder or slide tackling we will ask you to leave. 6. Please respect the attendance limit on the events. If the meeting is full and you are on the waitlist that does not mean come anyway. If we end up with 50 people on a small park field we won't be playing soccer that anyone will find enjoyable. Conversely, if you have a spot and will not be able to come, please cancel in the event so someone on the waitlist can come.

The Annandale Coin Show meets twice a year in July and December at the Northern Virginia Community College Ernst Community Cultural Center located at 8333 Little River Turnpike, Annandale, VA 22003. About Us: We are a group of [underwater hockey](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Underwater_hockey) players in the Northern Virginia / DC / Maryland area. We get together to play underwater hockey, make new friends, stay in shape, and hangout. Right now we have one practice session a week on Thursdays, but if we can get more people we would love to expand to two days a week. Who should join: If you love swimming, snorkeling, or team sports you should come join us! Dues and fees: For new people trying out the sport or the club, the first practice is free. After that there is a yearly $30 registration fee to the national underwater hockey organization, which pays for insurance. Then we have local club fees that pay for our pool time and shared replacement gear. There is a 'pay as you go' option of $10 per practice. Or a yearly option of $355. Affiliations: We are affiliated with the Underwater Society of America, and Capital Region Underwater Hockey. Both are non-profits.
