The intent of this group is simply to organize a variety of outdoor (or indoor) activities, such as backpacking, hiking, or rock climbing. All ages and experience levels are welcome -- the whole point is to meet up with other people who enjoy these activities. So, let's get hiking (or running... or biking... or spelunking...)!

Corvallis Outdoors (CO) is an all-volunteer group of people with interests in outdoor activities. Many of these activities incur a varying level of risk, from lower (easy hike) to higher (winter mountaineering). The organizers for CO are not professional or trained guides, nor do they necessarily have skills in first aid or emergency rescue. Please read and understand each of the following rules:

Each participant must know their own limitations and voice their concern if an activity pushes their comfort level. We would rather accommodate a change of plans than allow someone to get into trouble. Please read all event descriptions and ask questions before you RSVP. If you have any doubt about your ability for a particular event please consider another event.

Each participant is responsible for proper clothing, outdoor equipment and gear, and all other supplies and essentials to keep themselves safe and comfortable during the trips. A participant who is deemed unprepared may be turned away by the organizer. Remember you are responsible for your own safety and participate at your own risk.

All events are for Adults 18 years or older. Some outings are open to minors with accompanying responsible adult and will be noted as family events.

Organizers have no ultimate authority during outings. All participants should stay with the group for the duration of the outing, and anyone who wants to separate for any reason should communicate their intention with the organizer.

Anyone who places outings or other participants at risk may be disallowed from further activities.
