Welcome to Foraging Friends, Roanoke — a community of curious wanderers, wild food enthusiasts, and nature nerds exploring the fields and forests of the Roanoke area. We’re all about foraging both plants and fungi, learning together, and building a deeper connection to the land and each other.
Whether you're a total beginner or a seasoned wildcrafter, you're welcome here. We focus on ethical, sustainable foraging practices, proper identification, and lots of shared knowledge. Expect group hikes, seasonal forays, plant and mushroom ID tips, recipe exchanges, and good conversation under the trees.
