About Forgotten NJ & Group Guidelines
Forgotten New Jersey is a social group for those who are drawn to exploring liminal and abandoned spaces— places like dead malls, vacant buildings, and other forgotten corners of the state that feel stuck between past and present. We welcome urban explorers, photographers, history enthusiasts, or anyone curious about experiencing the intrigue of these in-between places. At our meetups, we'll gather to visit these spaces, take photos, discuss their history, and share our thoughts and memories. Join us to uncover the hidden, forgotten parts of New Jersey.
Group Guidelines:
- No-Shows & Last-Minute Cancellations: We have a zero-tolerance policy for no-shows or repeated last-minute cancellations. Consistent no-shows or late cancellations will result in immediate removal. If your plans change, please communicate with us as soon as possible.
- RSVP Status: Only confirmed "YES" RSVPs should attend events. If you're on the Waitlist, please do not attend unless the organizer explicitly confirms your spot. If you'd like to attend a full event or add an additional guest, contact the event organizer directly to inquire.
- Ticketed Events & Waitlists: For ticketed events, RSVPs initially place you on the waitlist. To confirm attendance, you must verify your ticket purchase with the organizer. This ensures an accurate headcount for reservations and logistics.
- Inclusive & Safe Space: Our group prioritizes creating a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment. If any member makes you or someone else feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please immediately inform an organizer or event host. Toxicity, harassment, and disrespectful behavior will lead to immediate removal.
- Risk & Safety: By confirming your attendance, you acknowledge and accept all associated risks. You assume full responsibility for your safety and waive any claims related to personal injury, death, or property damage that may occur during events.
